AGPI STATEMENTS

AGPI Says CLC Vote to Sever Ties with Israel's Largest Union Deeply Troubling:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the Canadian Labour Congress’ decision to sever ties with Israel’s largest labour organization, the Histadrut. This symbolic yet divisive move abandons the principles of dialogue, coexistence, and solidarity that labour movements should uphold. Histadrut represents Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Druze workers alike, making this resolution both discriminatory and deeply troubling. At a time of rising antisemitism across Canada, this action further marginalizes Jewish union members and fuels polarization rather than peace. Canadian unions should focus on protecting workers’ rights and fostering unity—not importing extremist and one-sided political agendas into Canada’s labour movement.

AGPI Denounces Antisemitic Violence in the UK:

May 18, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the horrifying antisemitic attack against a young Israeli man in Golders Green and the vile vandalism of Glasgow’s Garnethill Jewish cemetery, where nearly 50 gravestones were toppled. That a man could be brutally beaten simply for speaking Hebrew and identified as a “Yehudi” — Jew — should alarm every democratic society. These are not isolated incidents; they are part of a growing wave of hatred targeting Jewish communities worldwide. Enough is enough. Governments, police and civic leaders must act decisively against antisemitism before more lives are endangered. Stand with us by signing the Declaration Against Antisemitism and joining our movement of the non-silent: https://agpiworld.com/the-declaration

AGPI Condemns Mosque Shooting in San Diego:

May 18, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the reported attack on an Islamic center in San Diego. Every person, regardless of faith or background, has the fundamental right to worship freely and safely without fear, intimidation or violence. The Jewish community deeply understands the pain and trauma associated with attacks on places of worship, particularly in the aftermath of October 7 and the alarming rise of antisemitism targeting Jewish communities worldwide. We stand in solidarity  against hate and call on authorities to ensure those responsible are held fully accountable. Hate against any faith community threatens the safety and cohesion of us all.

HOW PALESTINIANS WEAPONIZED RAPE:

May 15, 2026: The sexual crimes that were committed on that tragic day were implemented by fanatics and psychopaths but were pre-planned by Palestinian commanders like Eichmann. I refer to them as “Palestinian” and not as “Hamas” so as to strip away the mask we often use to pretend they are someone else — as we did by referring to “Germans” as “Nazis”.  The people who committed these atrocities were Palestinians from Gaza who broke through the fence on the morning of October 7. Some were part of Hamas; many were ordinary civilians. All were Palestinians who committed heinous war crimes and crimes against humanity. Each of their victims had a name, had a family and lived a life. Silence No More is a report that will ensure they are not forgotten and that those who committed these evil atrocities will be held to account.  READ ARTICLE

AGPI ALARMED AS 82% OF HATE CRIME AGAINST JEWS:

Toronto, May 14, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply alarmed by findings contained in the Toronto Police Service 2025 Annual Hate Crime Statistical Report, which confirms that Anti-Jewish occurrences represented an alarming 82 per cent of all religiously motivated hate crimes in Toronto, while Anti-Muslim occurrences represented 14 per cent. The report further warns that hate crimes have already increased by 40 per cent so far in 2026 compared to the same period last year.  READ MORE HERE

AGPI COMMENDS PRESIDENT TRUMP ON CHINA VISIT:

May 14, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative commends President Donald Trump for securing agreement with Xi Jinping that Iran must never obtain nuclear weapons. At a time of growing instability in the Middle East, international unity against nuclear proliferation is essential to global peace and security. AGPI also welcomes the shared commitment to keeping the Strait of Hormuz open to ensure the free flow of energy and economic stability worldwide. Preventing a nuclear Iran is critical not only to regional security, but also to advancing the spirit of the Abraham Accords by strengthening stability, moderation, economic cooperation, and the growing alliance between Israel and Arab nations committed to peace and coexistence.

AGPI TO HONOUR JASON KENNEY AT CRYSTAL BALL:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is proud to honour former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney with its Human Rights Award at the sold-out 2026 Crystal Ball Benefit at Casa Loma. Kenney has been a steadfast and courageous defender of freedom, democracy, human rights, and the State of Israel at a time of rising antisemitism and extremism worldwide. The evening will bring together leading business figures, philanthropists, faith leaders, and community influencers in support of AGPI’s ongoing efforts to combat hate, strengthen democratic values, and build a safer future for all.

AGPI URGES UK TO BAN IRGC IN FORMAL LETTER:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative confirmed this week that its Founder and CEO, Avi Benlolo, sent a formal letter to Shabana Mahmood urging the United Kingdom to formally proscribe Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. The letter echoed growing bipartisan calls from members of the United States Congress and follows AGPI’s recent meetings with political, security, and Jewish community leaders in London who expressed deep concern regarding Iranian extremism. AGPI believes democratic nations must stand united against terrorism, incitement, extremism, and threats targeting democratic societies worldwide.

GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM SENDING SHOCKWAVES:

Report on May 8-15, 2026: Recent developments across Europe and North America reflect a deeply troubling rise in antisemitism and anti-Israel extremism. In London, approximately 20,000 people rallied outside Downing Street demanding stronger action after the U.K. recorded 3,700 antisemitic incidents in 2025, including 121 violent assaults — the highest per-capita rate among major Jewish communities. Recently, AGPI met with political and community leaders in the UK to discuss the surge in antisemitism. Meanwhile, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported that 2025 was one of the most violent years for Jews in the United States, documenting 6,274 antisemitic incidents, including a record 203 assaults and a 39% increase in attacks involving deadly weapons. Brooklyn alone saw antisemitic assaults surge 56%, with visibly Orthodox Jews heavily targeted.

AGPI COMMENDS CANADA FOR KEEPING EXTREMISTS OUT:

May 15, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative commends the Government of Canada and border authorities for taking appropriate action in denying entry to a pro-Palestinian activist slated to speak at a Muslim conference in Canada this weekend following serious concerns surrounding past statements and associations allegedly linked to extremism. The individual has allegedly defended hostage-taking as a military strategy and has allegedly made comments minimizing the atrocities of October 7. Canada must remain vigilant against extremism, incitement, and rhetoric that undermines public safety and social cohesion. AGPI believes democratic societies have a responsibility to confront and reject ideologies that allegedly legitimize terrorism, hatred, and violence in any form.

AGPI PROUDLY MARKED ANNIVERSARY OF DECLARATION OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL:

May 14, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative proudly marks the anniversary of the declaration of the modern State of Israel on May 14, 1948, when David Ben-Gurion proclaimed Israel’s independence in Tel Aviv as the British Mandate came to an end. Signed by 37 members of the Provisional State Council and recognized by the United States just 11 minutes later, Israel’s rebirth fulfilled the enduring aspirations of the Jewish people for sovereignty in their ancestral homeland. Canada and 21 other nations also recognized Israel in 1948, affirming international support for the reestablishment of the Jewish state. Today, we also celebrate Yom Yerushalayim, commemorating the liberation and reunification of Jerusalem — the eternal and undivided capital of Israel and the Jewish people.

AGPI WELCOMES ARREST OF MAN ACCUSED OF KNOCKING DOWN MENORAH:

May 12, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the arrest made by the Toronto Police Service Hate Crime Unit in connection with the suspected hate-motivated vandalism targeting a large Menorah outside a Jewish community centre near Avenue Road and Davenport Road. According to police, the accused allegedly knocked down and damaged the Menorah in an act now being investigated as a hate-motivated offence. We commend investigators and members of the public whose cooperation helped identify the suspect. At a time of escalating antisemitism across Canada, attacks on visible Jewish symbols and institutions are deeply alarming. AGPI continues to call for strong enforcement, vigilance, and meaningful action to protect Canada’s Jewish community.

AGPI DEEPLY DISTRESSED BY NYT "OPINION PIECE":

May 12, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply troubled by the New York Times opinion piece alleging sexual violence against Palestinians while appearing to minimize the overwhelming evidence of the atrocities committed by Palestinian terrorists against Israelis on October 7th. Presented with the veneer of investigative fact, the article risks whitewashing the documented horrors inflicted upon Jewish women, men and children. United Nations findings, the Dinah Project, and the newly released 300-page Civil Commission report all conclude that the sexual violence perpetrated on October 7th by Palestinians was systematic and deliberate. Journalism must never distort moral reality or inflame antisemitism.

CANADA'S SECURITY AT STAKE: AGPI EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER CSIS REPORT:

NATIONAL POST - May 8, 2026: In last week's front-page article, AGPI wrote that last week, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service released its 2025 Public Report. Its assessment of security issues in this country was not groundbreaking, with the annual report outlining the usual domestic threats. However, it seemed to have a very basic and outdated understanding of antisemitism and how it is manifesting in Canada. In Canada, threats to our freedom and democracy are moving beyond neo-Nazis, white supremacist groups and ideologically motivated extremist groups. They have moved into the realm of institutional radicalism that is terrorizing Canadian citizens. Institutions, including unions and public broadcasters, are sharply influencing and inciting Canadians against the Jewish community. Read article HERE

TODAY'S REPORT IS DEDICATED TO SHIRAZ BRODASH & AVSHALOM PERETZ:

AGPI Alarmed by Surge in Antisemitic Hate Crimes as Jews Represent 82% of Religiously Motivated Hate Crime Targets

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, May 14, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply alarmed by findings contained in the Toronto Police Service 2025 Annual Hate Crime Statistical Report, which confirms that Anti-Jewish occurrences represented an alarming 82 per cent of all religiously motivated hate crimes in Toronto, while Anti-Muslim occurrences represented 14 per cent. The report further warns that hate crimes have already increased by 40 per cent so far in 2026 compared to the same period last year.

While AGPI welcomes the reported overall decrease in hate crimes during 2025, we are deeply disappointed and concerned by the significant resurgence already being experienced throughout 2026. The sharp increase underscores that antisemitism and extremist hate remain a serious and growing threat to public safety and social cohesion.  The report adds that in 2025, there were more than 375 protests and demonstrations related to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The report also notes encouraging progress in enforcement, with approximately 32 per cent of reported hate crime cases in 2025 resulting in arrests, compared to 25 per cent in 2024 — representing a 100 per cent increase in the case-to-arrest ratio since 2023. Police arrested 73 individuals in connection with hate-motivated offences, resulting in 217 criminal charges.

“AGPI has consistently advocated for the strong enforcement of the law against antisemitism, hate crimes, extremism, and incitement,” said Avi Abraham Benlolo, Founder and CEO of AGPI. “These statistics confirm both the seriousness of the threat facing the Jewish community and the importance of proactive policing, arrests, and meaningful criminal consequences.”

AGPI commends the Toronto Police Service Hate Crime Unit and Counter-Terrorism Security Unit and Chief Myron Demkiw for strengthening investigations and improving public reporting mechanisms. However, AGPI warns that the continued rise in antisemitic incidents, shootings targeting synagogues, threats against Jewish institutions, and extremist rhetoric require urgent national attention.

“The Jewish community continues to be the most targeted religious community for hate crimes in Toronto and across Canada,” Benlolo added. “Antisemitism is not simply a Jewish problem — it is a threat to democracy, public safety, and the stability of our society.”

AGPI STATEMENTS

AGPI DISGUSTED BY MORE SYNAGOGUE SHOOTINGS IN TORONTO:

May 8, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is disgusted by the targeted shooting attacks that have taken place in North York over the last several days, including last night’s suspected hate-motivated shooting outside the Bobov Synagogue near Bathurst Street and Highway 401. Three individuals standing outside the synagogue were targeted from a passing vehicle with a replica firearm, leaving one person injured. AGPI commends Toronto Police for their swift action and notes that an arrest has now been made. Coincidentally, today AGPI’s Avi Abraham Benlolo was featured on the front page of the National Post urging CSIS to work harder at preventing and disrupting terrorism targeting the Jewish community. AGPI continues to call on the federal government to invoke the Emergencies Act in response to escalating antisemitic violence and threats against Canadians. https://agpiworld.com/canada

At a time of rising antisemitism, your leadership sends a clear message: we stand united against hate, extremism, and division. CAN MUSLIMS AND JEWS FIND A PATH FORWARD?

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) was honoured this week to participate in an important dialogue at Beth Sholom Synagogue titled In Search of Peace: How Muslims and Jews Can Find a Way Forward. The candid conversation between Raheel Raza, President of the Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow, and Avi Abraham Benlolo, AGPI’s Chairman and CEO, explored rising extremism, antisemitism, and the urgent need for interfaith partnership. Benlolo noted that threats against the Jewish community and Canada have intensified since “Israeli Apartheid Week” and BDS campaigns took root on university campuses in the early 2000s, exposing generations of students to false and discriminatory narratives against Israel and the Jewish community. Benlolo and Raza agreed that warnings from moderates were ignored — “we told you so” became a defining theme of the evening. Watch video of dialogue HERE

AGPI WELCOMES ARREST OF SYNAGOGUE SHOOTER:

May 7, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the arrest and charging of a suspect in connection with the March 2026 shootings targeting the Beit Avraham Yoseph Synagogue in Vaughan and the Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue in Toronto. According to Toronto Police and York Regional Police, the accused faces multiple serious firearm-related charges, including discharging a firearm into a place, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited device. AGPI commends the Integrated Gun & Gang Task Force, Counter-Terrorism Security Unit, Hate Crime Unit, and York Regional Police investigators for their diligent work and cooperation. These brazen attacks on Jewish houses of worship terrorized the Jewish community and underscore the urgent need for stronger enforcement, enhanced security measures, and decisive action to confront rising antisemitism across Canada.

AGPI PARTICIPATES IN DEDICATION OF PARK TO MAX EISEN:

May 6, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) proudly commemorates today’s dedication of the Max Eisen Memorial Park in Vaughan, honouring Holocaust survivor, educator, and AGPI founding member, Max Eisen. “I had the opportunity of working with Max for twenty years on numerous education programs and travelled with him to Auschwitz ten times alongside police leaders and educators. He made the world a better place. This is a fitting tribute, in addition to his many awards and recognitions,” said AGPI Chairman and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo. AGPI commends Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca, Councillor Gila Martow, and Vaughan City Council for unanimously supporting this meaningful dedication.

AGPI CALLS FOR EMERGENCIES ACT FOLLOWING SHOOTINGS:

May 3, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the targeting of visibly identifiable members of the Jewish community with a weapon in the Bathurst and Lawrence and also Wilson area and demands immediate action by police and authorities to protect the community. This brazen, hate-motivated assault is unacceptable and reflects a dangerous escalation of antisemitism in Toronto. In its front-page article on Friday, AGPI called on the government to invoke the Emergencies Act to respond to rising violence and antisemitism. We commend the Hate Crime Unit’s investigation and urge swift identification of the suspect. Enforcement of the law must be paramount.

AGPI SAYS CANADA MUST HOLD PA TO ACCOUNT OVER TERRORISM:

May 7, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply concerned by Prime Minister Mark Carney’s conversation with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas absent acknowledgement of the Palestinian Authority’s continued financial support for terrorism. A recent U.S. State Department report confirmed that in 2025 alone, the PA distributed approximately $156 million in payments and benefits to imprisoned terrorists and families of attackers. Last year, the Canadian government stated that recognition of a Palestinian state was predicated on meaningful governance reform and commitments toward a peaceful future for Israelis and Palestinians. Given the PA’s continued complicity in terrorism and incitement, it is clear those conditions have not been met. AGPI asks: why does Canada continue to recognize and legitimize the Palestinian Authority under these circumstances?

CANADA'S APPOINTMENT OF NEW GOVERNOR GENERAL CONCERNS JEWISH COMMUNITY:

Canada’s Jewish community is receiving the appointment of Louise Arbour as Governor General with concern and trepidation due to her past positions within United Nations human rights institutions, which many viewed as disproportionately critical of Israel. At a time of sharply rising antisemitism and growing insecurity within the Jewish community, symbolic national leadership carries heightened importance. While many recognize Arbour’s distinguished legal and public service career, others question whether Canada’s highest representatives fully appreciate the threats posed by modern antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and extremism. The reaction reflects a broader anxiety among Canadian Jews seeking reassurance, moral clarity, and strong leadership during an increasingly volatile period.

AGPI DEMANDS ACTION - A GLOBAL EMERGENCY:

May 1, 2026: In a front-page article in last week's National Post, AGPI said Canada is failing to heed the calls of the Jewish community — a community that is becoming resentful due to the overwhelming apathy of institutions toward these growing threats. It’s only a matter of time before a mass-casualty incident happens here at home. If the previous government could invoke the National Emergencies Act on account of peaceful trucker protests and gridlocks in Ottawa, it can legitimately call the attacks on the Jewish community a national emergency. The time for action is now. Words are simply not enough. We must press police to enforce the law. Intelligence gathering must be strengthened to predict and prevent terrorism and hate crime from occurring in the first place. Politicians must be held to account and universities, unions, and the media must be penalized when they enable and breed people who sow hate and division. At least the Jewish community is represented on British media. Aside from the National Post, Canadian media appears to be part of a cover-up of the shocking levels of antisemitism in this country.  READ

TODAY'S REPORT IS DEDICATED TO YEHUDIT ITZCHAKI:

Yehudit Itzchaki, 76, was murdered by Hamas terrorists in her home in Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7. Her son Gidi said they were in contact with Yehudit throughout the morning, as she reported being scared and hiding in her reinforced room. Shortly before 1 p.m., the family lost contact with her. The last message she sent was a heart emoji to her grandson. (credit: Times of Israel)

The event featured a compelling panel discussion with Harry Culham and Paul Godfrey, offering thoughtful insights on economic growth, national resilience, and the role of leadership in confronting rising hatred, including antisemitism. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, underscoring the importance of collaboration across sectors. AGPI’s Business Cabinet will serve as a vital forum to unite Canada’s leading business minds in advancing solutions that strengthen social cohesion, economic confidence, and the country’s future.  To join AGPI's Business Cabinet email us at office@agpi.ca

AGPI STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH BRITISH COMMUNITY:

April 29, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) unequivocally condemns today’s stabbing attack in Golders Green, England—a brazen act of violence that strikes at the heart of a peaceful community. Coming just weeks after our working visit to London, where we met with senior officials, this incident underscores the urgent need for stronger, visible enforcement and zero tolerance for hate-driven violence. Authorities must act decisively to protect Jewish communities and uphold public safety. Words are no longer enough—swift prosecutions, enhanced security, and clear deterrence are essential. We stand in solidarity with the victims and call for immediate, firm action to ensure such attacks are never repeated. We hope and pray for the speedy recovery of the victims.

AGPI DEMANDS INVESTIGATION INTO ICC PROSECUTOR:

April 29, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is shocked by new reporting in The Wall Street Journal alleging a potential link between Qatari actors and the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court. For too long, the ICC has appeared to be weaponized against the State of Israel, and these serious allegations may help explain the circumstances behind that troubling reality. While the claims remain unproven, their gravity cannot be ignored. AGPI reiterates its call for a full, independent, and transparent investigation to thoroughly examine these allegations, uphold the rule of law, and protect the credibility of international justice.

AGPI: 'ANTISEMITIC INCIDENTS SURGING GLOBALLY'

Between April 24 and May 1, 2026, multiple antisemitic and anti-Israel incidents were reported across several countries. On April 24 in Toronto, pro-Israel demonstrators were assaulted during a protest. On April 25 in Vaughan, Ontario, an individual attempted to enter the Sephardic Kehila Centre and assaulted a nearby person. On April 26 in Toronto, a rock was thrown through a Judaica store window. That same day in Berlin, antisemitic graffiti reading “Kill all Jews” appeared, and on April 27 in Cottbus, a synagogue was defaced with a swastika. Also on April 27 in Milan, Jewish marchers were driven out of a Liberation Day rally amid “Long live Hitler” chants. On April 28 in London, an arson attack targeted a Jewish memorial site, followed on April 29 by the stabbing of two Jewish men in Golders Green. Additional incidents included a school-related case in Connecticut and a boycott controversy in Sydney.

AGPI STATEMENT ON JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH:

May 1, 2026: May marks Jewish Heritage Month in Canada—a time to celebrate the enduring contributions of Jewish Canadians to our country’s cultural, economic, and civic life. It is an opportunity to reflect on a rich history rooted in resilience, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to freedom and democracy. From building communities to shaping national institutions, Jewish Canadians have helped define the Canada we cherish today. At a time of rising antisemitism, this month also calls on all Canadians to stand against hate, uphold shared values, and ensure that the legacy and future of Jewish life in Canada remain strong, vibrant, and secure.

AGPI COMMENDS CANADA FOR BARRING IRGC:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) supports Canada’s firm and principled decision to bar members and affiliates of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from entering the country. As a designated terrorist organization, the IRGC has played a central role in sponsoring extremism, destabilizing regions, and threatening democratic values. Canada’s actions send a clear message that those linked to such entities will not be welcomed on Canadian soil. While diplomatic and international engagements are important, national security and the protection of Canadian values must come first. AGPI commends Canadian authorities for upholding these standards with vigilance, consistency, and resolve.

REPORT: PA STILL GAVE $156 MILLION TO PALESTINIAN TERRORISTS:

A new U.S. State Department report to Congress confirms that the Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to provide payments and benefits to individuals involved in terrorism and their families, despite claims of reform. In 2025 alone, the PA distributed approximately $156 million, including funds to imprisoned terrorists and to families of those who died carrying out attacks. The report finds these practices remain inconsistent with the Taylor Force Act, noting that payments persist under revised mechanisms rather than being eliminated. The PA has also failed to condemn violence against U.S. and Israeli citizens, while educational materials continue to promote incitement, raising serious concerns about ongoing support for extremism.

AGPI DENOUNCES HAMAS FLOTILLA:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly denounces the Hamas-backed flotilla as a reckless and provocative attempt to undermine regional stability and legitimate humanitarian efforts. Rather than advancing peace or providing meaningful aid, such actions risk escalating tensions and placing lives in danger. Israel has the right and obligation to enforce its lawful maritime security measures and ensure that assistance to Gaza flows through established, secure channels. These flotillas serve as political theatre designed to distract from Hamas’s continued extremism and refusal to disarm. AGPI calls on the international community to reject such provocations and support responsible, lawful humanitarian engagement.

IN SEARCH OF PEACE - HOW MUSLIMS AND JEWS CAN FIND A WAY FORWARD:

At a moment when division too often dominates headlines, this gathering offers a rare and important opportunity for dialogue, understanding, and bridge-building. We encourage all who believe in peace, dignity, and the power of conversation to attend and be part of shaping a more hopeful future.  Register: https://www.bethsholom.net/event/in-search-of-peace.html

WINNING IS A MINDSET AND ISRAEL OWNS IT:

NATIONAL POST - April 24, 2026: Israel turned 78 this week since achieving independence in 1948. The story of the Jewish people is the story that any leader with a winning mindset can understand and draw inspiration from. This is a story of a people who were exiled from their homeland, the land of Israel, more than 2,500 years ago. Israel has taken nationhood from the ordinary to extraordinary. It is defined by a people who refuse to be defined by others, who have turned passivity into action, victimhood into strength and oppression and subjugation to brilliance and determination.   In its remarkable 78 years, Israel has made the dessert bloom. It has turned saltwater into drinking water and looked not to the land for natural resources to create economic wealth, but to its people. Read article HERE

As AGPI continues its work on the ground in Israel, where civilians show remarkable resilience under Iranian rocket attacks, your support drives real impact. Together, we are advancing democratic values and strengthening our communities. Thank you for standing with us.

AGPI CELEBRATES YOM HA'ATZMOUT AT TORONTO CITY HALL:

Toronto, ON — April 22, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) proudly marked Israel’s 78th anniversary with a powerful gathering at Toronto City Hall. In a moving address, AGPI’s Founding Chairman and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, reflected on Jewish resilience since October 7th, calling it “the story of this generation—strong, proud, and unwavering.” Noting the record turnout, he emphasized it as a testament to enduring strength and survival, celebrating both Israel’s independence and the Jewish people’s historic, indigenous connection to the land. AGPI thanks Mike Colle and James Pasternak for their leadership and support.  Watch snapshot video of Address: https://agpiworld.com/news

AGPI ATTENDS QUEENS PARK ISRAEL RECEPTION:

April 15, 2026: Following the flag-raising ceremony, a reception was held at Queen's Park, bringing together community leaders and elected officials in a spirit of unity and reflection. The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) extends its sincere appreciation to The Hon. Michael Kerzner, Michelle Cooper MPP, and Laura Smith MPP for sponsoring this important gathering and for their thoughtful and meaningful remarks. Their leadership and continued support underscore a shared commitment to standing against hate, advancing democratic values, and strengthening the bonds that unite our communities across Ontario and Canada.

AGPI STATEMENT ON CANADIAN YOUTH PLANNING TO MURDER JEWS:

April 24, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses profound alarm following the Ottawa terrorism trial involving two teens accused of plotting to murder Jews. Court evidence revealed the exchange of instructions on how to kill, alongside propaganda videos and the glorifying ISIS in Arabic and English—deeply disturbing indicators of radicalization. While their identities remain protected under youth publication bans, the implications are clear. We are deeply disappointed by the growing extremism among Canadian youth and the troubling silence surrounding it. When young people are drawn into violent ideologies and turned against their neighbours, it signals a grave failure that Canada must urgently confront (image illustrative).

AGPI DISAPPOINTED SENATE REPORT FAILS TO ADDRESS ISLAMIC EXTREMISM TARGETING JEWS:

April 24, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) supports the Senate’s review into rising antisemitism and welcomes efforts to confront Jew-hatred in Canada. However, we are deeply disappointed that the Senate report fails to address the role of Islamist extremism—an omission that undermines the credibility and completeness of its findings. Ignoring a documented driver of radicalization does not strengthen our response; it weakens it. Canadians deserve transparency, honesty, and moral clarity. Veiling difficult truths risks emboldening those who spread hate. If we are serious about combating antisemitism, we must confront all its sources directly and without hesitation.

BRITISH JEWS CONTINUE TO BE ATTACKED - WE STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THEM:

April 23, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) condemns in the strongest terms the shocking assault on a Jewish man in Slough, attacked in broad daylight while simply doing his job. The vile antisemitic abuse hurled at him—branding him a “baby killer” and worse—reflects a dangerous and escalating climate of hate targeting British Jewry. This cowardly act has left the victim fearful to leave his home, underscoring the real human toll of unchecked incitement. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and call on authorities to act decisively. Antisemitism must be confronted forcefully wherever it appears.  We applaud the Archbishop of Canterbury for condemning the rising tide of antisemitism: "I’m appalled by the growing spate of attacks on Jewish communities in the UK. An attack on Jewish people is an attack on us all- we must stand together against the virulence of antisemitism that brings only violence, fear and hatred".  Watch AGPI's interviews with British leaders HERE.

AGPI PARTICIPATES IN YOM HAZIKARON:

April 21, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) was honoured to attend Yom HaZikaron this evening in Toronto, organized by the Consulate of Israel. We joined a full house in solemn remembrance of the 25,648 Israeli soldiers who gave their lives defending the State of Israel. Their sacrifice stands as a testament to courage, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of freedom. It was deeply moving to witness such strong community support—Toronto stands with Israel in force. As we reflect on their heroism, we reaffirm our commitment: we will never surrender in the face of hatred or terror. May their memory forever be a blessing.

AGPI CONDEMNS GRAFFITTI AT MISSISSAUGA SCHOOL:

April 21, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the antisemitic and anti-Israel graffiti targeting St. Aloysius Gonzaga Secondary School and the adjoining Erin Meadows Community Centre. This hateful vandalism—defacing a school and community space with slurs and incitement—represents a disturbing escalation of intolerance in our own backyard. That such acts continue, alongside a broader pattern of hate incidents, is deeply troubling. AGPI commends Peel Regional Police for its swift response and investigation. Hate has no place in Canada. Those responsible must be held accountable, and our communities must stand united against antisemitism and all forms of extremism.

AGPI STATEMENT ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE REMEMBRANCE DAY:

April 24, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) solemnly commemorates Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, honouring the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who perished during the Armenian Genocide. We stand in remembrance of the victims and in solidarity with their descendants, reaffirming our commitment to truth, justice, and historical accountability. Denial only deepens wounds and undermines the pursuit of reconciliation. AGPI believes that Turkey must come to terms with its past and take responsibility for this heinous crime. Only through acknowledgment and accountability can genuine healing and lasting peace be achieved for future generations.

IN SEARCH OF PEACE - HOW MUSLIMS AND JEWS CAN FIND A WAY FORWARD:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) invites the public to join us on May 4th at Beth Sholom Synagogue for a timely and meaningful conversation: In Search of Peace – How Muslims and Jews Can Find a Way Forward. At a moment when division too often dominates headlines, this gathering offers a rare and important opportunity for dialogue, understanding, and bridge-building. Together, we will explore shared values, confront difficult truths, and seek pathways toward coexistence and mutual respect. We encourage all who believe in peace, dignity, and the power of conversation to attend and be part of shaping a more hopeful future.  Register: https://www.bethsholom.net/event/in-search-of-peace.html

AGPI Commemorates Israel’s 78th Independence Day at Toronto City Hall and Queen’s Park:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AGPI Commemorates Israel’s 78th Independence Day at Toronto City Hall and Queen’s Park:

“This is the story of this generation of Jews—standing strong, proud, and resilient.”

Toronto, ON — April 22, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) proudly commemorated the 78th anniversary of the State of Israel with a powerful and deeply moving gathering at Toronto City Hall.

In a heartfelt address, AGPI’s Founding Chairman and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, reflected on the strength and resilience of the Jewish people since October 7th, noting: “This is the story of this generation of Jews—standing strong, proud, and resilient.” Observing the record turnout, he added, “Never have I seen such a large gathering in over two decades. This is a testament to our enduring strength and survival. We are not only celebrating Israel’s 78th anniversary—we are celebrating our right to be Jews, and our historical, indigenous connection to the land of Israel.”

AGPI extends its sincere appreciation to Deputy Mayor Mike Colle and Councillor James Pasternak for their leadership and support.

Following the flag-raising ceremony, a reception was held at Queen's Park. AGPI thanks Ontario's Solicitor General, Michael Kerzner MPP, Michelle Cooper MPP, and Laura Smith MPP, for sponsoring the event and for their meaningful remarks.

Defending Israel is defending freedom, democracy, and the shared values that bind us all.

The Friday Report - April 17, 2026

AGPI ANALYSIS: ISRAEL DOING IRAN'S DIRTY WORK - BUT GIVE PEACE A CHANCE:

April 17, 2026: There is hope within despair. Since October 7, the Middle East has been burning. Hezbollah, a terror proxy of Iran has been relentlessly launching its arsenal of missiles at Israel’s border communities, rendering them nearly uninhabitable. Like a tumour infecting its host, at the instruction and direction of Iran, Hezbollah used Lebanon as a launching pad to attack Israel.   This is an opportunity for Israel to grow the Abraham Accords to include Lebanon and to expand its effort toward peace and prosperity in the Middle East. The Lebanese do deserve to live in peace, as much as Israelis do. Both nations can come together in magnificent ways that will make the region beautiful once again. Peace takes work and effort. Let’s give it a chance. Read AGPI's full article HERE

AGPI COMMEMORATES YOM HASHOAH AT TORONTO CITY HALL:

Toronto, ON — April 14, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today held a solemn and deeply moving Yom HaShoah commemoration at Toronto City Hall, bringing together community members, dignitaries, and leaders in remembrance of the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered during the Holocaust.  The ceremony featured powerful remarks from community leaders, clergy, city councillors, and interfaith partners, alongside reflections from a second-generation Holocaust survivor and Israel’s Consul General. Each speaker underscored a unifying and urgent message: silence is complicity.

AGPI ENCOURAGED BY PEEL POLICE RESPONSE TO ANTISEMITISM:

April 15, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) extends its sincere appreciation to Peel Regional Police for hosting an important Community Safety Discussion with Jewish faith and community leaders. We are encouraged by the openness, professionalism, and commitment demonstrated by PRP in confronting antisemitism and engaging directly with those most affected.  AGPI is satisfied with the exceptional work being undertaken by PRP to address the rising tide of hate-motivated incidents. During the discussion, AGPI’s Chairman and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, emphasized that the consistent enforcement of the law must remain the clear rule and mandate of all police agencies across Canada—particularly as the country now ranks first globally in antisemitic incidents.

AGPI STATEMENT ON NEW HATE CRIME PROSECUTION UNIT:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) congratulates MPP Michelle Cooper for her leadership in advancing the establishment of a dedicated hate crime Crown prosecution unit in Ontario. This important initiative represents a much-needed step forward in ensuring that antisemitism and all forms of hate are met with the full force of the law. At a time when hate-motivated incidents are on the rise, strengthening prosecutorial capacity is essential to securing justice for victims and holding perpetrators accountable. AGPI commends this effort to reinforce the rule of law and protect our communities from hate and extremism.

AGPI STATEMENT ON TURKEY'S AGGRESSIVE STAND:

April 11, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the growing belligerence of Turkey toward the State of Israel and its leaders. Such hostility is unbecoming of a modern, civilized nation—particularly one that is a member of NATO. Calling the Jewish leader of Israel “Hitler” is a deliberate affront to the memory of the Holocaust and to the Jewish people, distorting history and trivializing the evil of Adolf Hitler. Turkey’s alignment with extremist elements, including Hamas, and broader Islamist currents threatens to set it back. AGPI urges Turkey to reject such rhetoric and uphold responsible international leadership.

AGPI'S STATEMENT ON ELECTION IN HUNGARY:

April 12, 2026:: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) congratulates Péter Magyar on his electoral victory and extends our best wishes as he assumes leadership at a pivotal moment for Hungary. We are encouraged by his party’s recent recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27th.  During our recent visit to Hungary, AGPI was pleased to witness a vibrant and resilient Jewish community, supported by visible security measures and a strong sense of continuity and pride.   AGPI strongly encourages the continuation of these efforts—protecting Jewish life, preserving Holocaust memory, and sustaining strong ties with Israel—as essential pillars of democratic values, historical responsibility, and a shared commitment to peace and security.

STUDY FINDS CANADA #1 IN ANTISEMITIC INCIDENTS:

April 13, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply alarmed by the latest study from Tel Aviv University, which found that Canada has recorded the highest levels of antisemitic incidents in the world.  Critically, the study confirms that 20 Jews were murdered globally in antisemitic attacks in 2025—the highest such toll in more than three decades—highlighting the deadly consequences of unchecked hatred.  The international data is equally alarming: Australia recorded approximately 1,750 incidents, Britain 3,700, and Germany over 5,700 cases. Canada’s total surged to roughly 6,800 incidents—more than three times higher than in 2022—placing it at the highest recorded level globally.

CANADA FAILS TO OBJECT TO IRAN AT UN COMMITTEE:

April 17, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses deep concern over Canada’s failure to object to the election of Iran to the United Nations NGO Committee, a body under the United Nations Economic and Social Council responsible for granting civil society organizations access to the UN system. Entrusting a regime that represses dissent to help determine which NGOs are heard globally is deeply troubling. AGPI warns such appointments empower authoritarian states to silence independent voices. At the same time, AGPI welcomes Canada’s address to the UN General Assembly condemning Iran’s attacks and affirming the importance of protecting international navigation rights in the Strait of Hormuz—a vital global waterway.

AGPI STATEMENT ON UKRAINE CRIMINALIZING ANTISEMITISM:

April 17, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the Government of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for enacting new legislation explicitly criminalizing antisemitism. By amending its Criminal Code to include antisemitic acts within hate crime and discrimination provisions, Ukraine has taken a meaningful and principled step toward safeguarding Jewish life. The law establishes clear penalties—including fines and prison sentences, with harsher consequences for violent offences, threats, or acts involving organized groups or public officials—ensuring greater accountability. AGPI believes that strong legal frameworks are essential to confronting hate and protecting vulnerable communities. We encourage continued vigilance and full enforcement of this law, and call on other nations across Europe to follow this important example in the global fight against antisemitism.

CEASEFIRE WITH IRAN A DANGEROUS CAPITULATION:

National Post, April 10, 2026: In last week's front-page article, AGPI explained that "everyone prefers peace to war, except Iran. It has been at war with the United States and Israel since the Mullahs took power in 1979. War is part of its Islamic revolution, and it shall remain so if they stay in power.  The so-called two-week ceasefire agreement with Iran represents a capitulation to barbarians who see themselves as an axis of resistance and would seize any opportunity to destroy America and Israel, if given the chance. They are driven by a religious fervour of Islamism only consummated by Jihad. Israelis, who along with Gulf states that have been attacked by Iranian-sent drones and cluster-laden ballistic missiles since late February are furious about the ceasefire announcement". AGPI PROUDLY RECOGNIZES ETHERINGTON & ASSOCIATES:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) extends its sincere gratitude to Bruce Etherington & Associates for its generous support and commitment to our mission. Their firm’s expertise in the disciplined application of a time-tested asset class—focused on preserving capital, enhancing yield, and protecting client portfolios from major market downturns—reflects a principled and forward-thinking approach to financial stewardship. Partners like Bruce Etherington & Associates play a vital role in strengthening our work to combat antisemitism and advance peace, freedom, and democracy. We are proud to stand alongside organizations that value both financial resilience and meaningful community impact.

TODAY'S REPORT IS DEDICATED TO EVGENY GALSKY:

Evgeny Galsky, 34, a firefighter from Kibbutz Erez, was killed on October 7 by Hamas terrorists on his way home from Netivot.

Evgeny had just finished a shift as a firefighter that Saturday morning when the Hamas attack began. Worried about his girlfriend home alone in Kibbutz Erez, Evgeny headed to their home from his shift in Netivot and was slain by Hamas terrorists along the way, near the Sha’ar Hanegev Junction. NEVER FORGET THE 6 MILLION YOM HASHOAH:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) invites members and friends to join us for a solemn Yom HaShoah Memorial on April 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Toronto City Hall. This meaningful ceremony will honour the memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and pay tribute to survivors and their enduring legacy. At a time of rising antisemitism, this gathering serves as both remembrance and resolve. We encourage all members of the community to stand with us in reflection, unity, and commitment to “Never Again.” RSVP to office@agpi.ca

46 DAYS TO CRYSTAL BALL BENEFIT:

They can't do alone and we are here to help them in Israel and around the world. On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Canada’s leading business leaders, philanthropists, and influencers will gather for the Crystal Ball Benefit—an evening where purpose meets action. In a time of rising antisemitism, this event is more than a gala; it is a call to stand up and support The Abraham Global Peace Initiative in its fight against hate, extremism, and division.  We are on the ground in Israel as ordinary civilians stand resilient as they absorb Iranian rocket attacks. Through inspiring tributes and meaningful connection, the evening advances efforts to defend democratic values and strengthen our communities. Join us. Take a stand. Email us at office@agpi.ca

AGPI STATEMENT ON ARREST OF SHOOTER OF JEWISH RESTAURANT:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the arrest made by Toronto Police in connection with the April 3 shooting targeting a Jewish-owned restaurant in North York. We commend the swift and coordinated efforts of the Hate Crime Unit and Counter Terrorism Security Unit in bringing a suspect into custody. This decisive action sends a clear message that violence and intimidation against the Jewish community will not be tolerated. At the same time, the community continues to await arrests in connection with the shootings of three Toronto-area synagogues last month. We urge authorities to pursue all those responsible and ensure justice is fully served.

AGPI STATEMENT ON ISRAEL-LEBANON DIPLOMACY:

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly welcomed Israel’s decision to pursue direct negotiations with Lebanon, as directed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This initiative—focused on disarming Hezbollah and advancing peaceful relations—represents a serious and constructive step toward long-term regional stability grounded in accountability and security. At a time of heightened tension, diplomacy rooted in strength offers a credible path forward and should be encouraged by the international community. AGPI believes that meaningful progress requires the dismantling of terror infrastructure and a clear commitment to peaceful coexistence, ensuring safety and security for all peoples in the region.

AGPI STATEMENT ON SPAIN'S DANGEROUS DISCOURSE:

April 10, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) condemns the actions of Pedro Sánchez, who has crossed every diplomatic line by withdrawing Spain’s ambassador from Israel while reopening its embassy in Tehran. His call on the European Union to suspend its Association Agreement with Israel further underscores a deeply troubling and one-sided agenda. Such moves reflect a profound moral inversion at a time requiring clarity and leadership. His harsh anti-Israel rhetoric says far more about his political posture than it does about Israel. AGPI urges Spain to reconsider this dangerous course.

AGPI REJECTS ONE-SIDED CALLS BY NDP LEADER:

April 10, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly rejects the one-sided calls by NDP Leader, Avi Lewis to impose sanctions on Israel, cancel the Canada–Israel Free Trade Agreement, and enact an arms embargo. These proposals overlook the fundamental reality that Israel is responding to attacks by Hezbollah and defending its citizens from ongoing rocket fire targeting civilian communities. Any credible assessment must recognize these threats. Punishing a democratic ally while failing to address terrorist aggression is misguided and risks emboldening extremism. Canada should pursue a balanced approach that upholds security, accountability, and the principles of peace and stability.

AGPI STATEMENT ON ESCALATION IN THE UK:

April 10, 2026: AGPI Warns of escalating antisemitism in UK following high-level London meetings. The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) notes with concern the surge of antisemitic incidents in the United Kingdom this past week—from the arson attack on Jewish ambulances and multiple arrests, to intensified police crackdowns and the barring of Kanye West. These developments come just two weeks after AGPI’s visit to London, where we met with a wide range of political and Jewish community leaders to address precisely these challenges. While enforcement actions are welcome, they reinforce the urgency we witnessed firsthand. We encourage the public to view our video testimonies at https://agpiworld.com/video-learning-centre

AGPI STATEMENT ON PROTECTION OF ISRAELI CIVILIANS:

April 8, 2026: AGPI is deeply disappointed that joint democratic leaders failed to include any statement addressing the safety and security of Israeli civilians—who have been among the most directly targeted by Iranian cluster ballistic missiles striking residential areas. Iran’s missile attacks have already killed and injured many Israelis, with families targeted in their homes and communities forced into shelters under relentless threat. Conversely, Iran has used civilians as human shields. The allied statement issued by ten entities, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan, referred only to the protection of Iranian civilians, while remaining silent on the very real and ongoing dangers faced by Israelis. This troubling omission reflects an imbalance that undermines the universal principles of human rights and equal protection for all civilians. True leadership demands consistency, courage, and an unwavering commitment to defend innocent lives everywhere—without exception.

AGPI ISSUES STARK WARNING ON TERRORISM:

April 10, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply alarmed by the guilty plea of a Canada-based individual involved in a plot to carry out a mass-casualty attack against the Jewish community in New York. This case is a stark reminder that antisemitic terrorism is not abstract—it is real, organized, and transnational. We commend Canadian and U.S. law enforcement for their vigilance and cooperation in preventing what could have been a devastating attack. At the same time, this incident underscores the urgent need for heightened vigilance, stronger enforcement, and sustained action to confront radicalization and protect Jewish communities across North America.

ATTACK ON BRITISH JEWS ATTACK ON ALL OF US:

In this article, AGPI describes its meetings with key influential leaders in the U.K. from the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the representative body of British Jewry, and is scheduled to meet with Lord John Mann, who serves as HM Government’s Independent Adviser on Antisemitism, as well as Canada’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Bill Blair.  The op-ed follows a shocking arson attack targeting four ambulances in the Jewish community of Golders Green, drawing parallels to recent synagogue shootings in Toronto. While political leaders have issued strong condemnations, AGPI warns that a troubling gap remains between words and meaningful action. According to the Community Security Trust, 3,700 antisemitic incidents were recorded in the U.K. in 2025—the highest annual total on record. In Canada, Jews continue to be the primary targets of religiously motivated hate crimes. Based on meetings with leaders including David Wolfson, Eric Pickles, and John Mann, AGPI stresses that antisemitism is not a Jewish issue, but a broader test of democratic values.  Read More HERE

TODAY'S REPORT IS DEDICATED TO EDEN OHAYON:

Eden Ohayon, 24, from Tirat Carmel, was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival on October 7. Ohayon was missing for three days before her body was found, and she was buried in the Sde Yehoshua Cemetery in Haifa on October 10. She went to the festival with her cousin, Yarin Ephraim, who worked with her at The Cocktail Box, a customizable bar service for private events, and was tending the bar alongside her colleague Orel Abuhatzira. All three were murdered. (credit: Times of Israel)

Statement: AGPI Supports Israel–Lebanon Diplomacy While Warning Against Dangerous Iran Ceasefire:

April 9, 2026: AGPI supports Israel’s willingness to pursue diplomacy, as reflected in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s directive to begin direct negotiations with Lebanon focused on disarming Hezbollah and advancing peaceful relations. This initiative represents a constructive and credible path toward regional stability grounded in strength and accountability.

At the same time, AGPI expresses deep concern over the proposed U.S. ceasefire with Iran, which risks rewarding a regime that has remained in hostility toward Israel and the West since 1979. While peace is always preferable, a ceasefire that leaves Iran’s leadership and military capabilities intact may embolden further aggression.

We are equally troubled that allied statements from countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Italy, Spain, and Japan have emphasized the protection of Iranian civilians while omitting Israeli and regional victims—undermining the principle of equal protection for all innocent lives.

Statement on Shooting Arrest in Toronto

April 8, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the news of an arrest made in connection with a shooting at a Jewish-owned business in Toronto and commends the Toronto Police Service for its swift and coordinated response. The involvement of specialized units, including Hate Crime and Counter Terrorism investigators, underscores the seriousness of this targeted act. While no injuries were reported, the pattern of repeated attacks is deeply troubling.

AGPI calls on authorities to apply the same urgency and resolve in identifying and apprehending those responsible for recent shootings targeting three synagogues in Toronto and Vaughan. Equal enforcement is essential. Protecting Jewish institutions and ensuring accountability must remain a top priority in safeguarding public safety and confronting antisemitic violence.

AGPI Statement on Troubling Omission of Protection of Israeli Civilians

We Are Living History in Real Time

April 3, 2026: Summary of National Post Article

This Passover carries heightened urgency, reminding us that in every generation, forces arise to threaten Jewish freedom. Since October 7, these threats have intensified and evolved beyond traditional geographic boundaries. Whereas past dangers were often confined to specific regions, today’s antisemitism is global in scope and deeply interconnected. It manifests across multiple fronts—from the far left and far right to, most significantly, Islamist extremism—creating a complex and coordinated challenge to Jewish communities worldwide.

This convergence of ideologies underscores that the struggle is no longer isolated but shared across continents and societies. In this environment, Passover’s enduring message of liberation is not merely historical; it is a present-day call to action. It compels us to respond with unwavering strength, courage, resilience, and unity. As we recount the Exodus, we are reminded that freedom must be defended in every generation—and that today, the responsibility rests with all of us to stand firm against hatred and ensure a secure future.

Statement from AGPI's Board on Passover

April 1, 2026: On behalf of the Board of Directors of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your family for a meaningful and joyous Passover. The story of Passover reminds us that in every generation, we are called upon to confront those who seek to threaten our freedom—and to stand with courage, resilience, and unity. Today is no different. We continue to work tirelessly each day to combat antisemitism and defend the values of freedom and democracy that define our community. May this Passover bring strength, renewal, and hope to you and your loved ones. Chag Pesach Sameach. To our friends and allies celebrating Easter, we wish you a meaningful and blessed holiday.

AGPI Statement on Rejection of Court Injunction

March 31, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) believes the Montreal court’s decision was the wrong outcome. While we respect the judicial process, it is deeply concerning that this ruling may allow the Law Students’ Association at McGill University to proceed with implementing an anti-Israel boycott. Such measures risk creating a discriminatory and exclusionary environment for Jewish and Israeli students, undermining academic freedom and open exchange. Universities must remain spaces for dialogue—not division or ideological enforcement. We stand firmly against efforts that isolate Israel and call on McGill’s leadership to ensure its campus remains inclusive, fair, and free from discrimination.

Statement on Samidoun Terror Designation:

March 30, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the Government of Canada’s decision to list Samidoun as a terrorist entity under the Criminal Code. This important step reinforces Canada’s commitment to confronting extremism, terrorism financing, and incitement. The designation makes it a criminal offence to support or engage with the group, strengthening the tools available to law enforcement and protecting Canadian communities. AGPI commends the government for drawing a clear line against organizations that promote or enable violence, and urges continued vigilance to ensure that all networks contributing to radicalization and hate are identified and addressed.  Source: https://ised-isde.canada.ca/cc/lgcy/fdrlCrpDtls.html?p=0&corpId=12793741&crpNm=samidoun&crpNmbr=&bsNmbr=&cProv=&cStatus=&cAct=

Statement on Palestinian Flag at NDP Convention:

March 30, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses deep concern over the prominent display of a Palestinian flag in place of the Canadian flag during the leadership acceptance speech of Avi Lewis. National moments of leadership should reflect unity under Canada’s shared identity and values—not symbolism that risks importing foreign conflicts into our domestic discourse. At a time of rising antisemitism, such imagery is particularly troubling. We urge the New Democratic Party to turn away from antisemitism and from aligning with movements that have too often fueled violence and rejected opportunities for peace, and instead recommit to constructive dialogue, coexistence, and the principles that unite all Canadians.

AGPI PREPARES FOR YOM HASHOAH:

ATTACK ON BRITISH JEWS ATTACK ON ALL OF US:

March 27, 2026: In today's National Post, AGPI describes its meetings with key influential leaders in the U.K. from the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the representative body of British Jewry, and is scheduled to meet with Lord John Mann, who serves as HM Government’s Independent Adviser on Antisemitism, as well as Canada’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Bill Blair.

LORD PICKLES DISAPPOINTED CANADA DISSOLVED HOLOCAUST OFFICE:

March 25, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) held a candid and substantive meeting with Eric Pickles, The Rt. Hon. Lord Pickles, focusing on international leadership in combating antisemitism. Lord Pickles expressed clear disappointment with Canada’s decision to dissolve the Office of the Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism, emphasizing that such roles are critical to maintaining accountability and advancing education. He underscored that Jewish communities must feel protected and valued, and warned that weakening institutional commitments risks further marginalizing them. The discussion highlighted the importance of sustained government leadership in confronting antisemitism at both national and global levels.

LORD WOLFSON: "ANTISEMITISM IS A FORM OF COWARDICE":

March 24, 2026: AGPI's Chairman and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo held a substantive conversation with Lord David Wolfson of Tredegar, engaging in a wide-ranging discussion on antisemitism and Jewish affairs in London and globally. The conversation addressed the sharp rise in antisemitic incidents, legal frameworks to combat hate, and the responsibilities of government in protecting Jewish communities. Lord Wolfson emphasized the importance of the rule of law, accountability, and moral clarity in confronting extremism. The discussion also explored international trends, the impact of geopolitical tensions, and the need for coordinated responses across democracies to ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of Jewish communities worldwide. BOARD OF DEPUTIES - STRENGTHEN SYSTEMS AND ALLIANCES:

March 25, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) held a substantive and solutions-oriented meeting with Michael Wegier, Chief Executive of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. The discussion reflected a shared recognition that while awareness of antisemitism is increasing, decisive action must follow. Mr. Wegier outlined three strategic priorities: ensuring institutional systems are fit for purpose, including legal and policing frameworks; strengthening cross-community alliances; and reinforcing Jewish identity with confidence and pride. The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated leadership, institutional accountability, and community resilience in confronting antisemitism effectively.

A LIFELONG LEADERSHIP AGAINST ANTISEMITISM:

March 26, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) held a focused and substantive meeting with Lord John Mann, reinforcing the imperative of principled political leadership in confronting antisemitism. Lord Mann emphasized that protecting a small and targeted minority is a fundamental responsibility of government, noting that society cannot function properly if such threats are tolerated. He underscored that British Jews must be able to live freely and securely, without fear or discrimination. The discussion highlighted the need for leaders to address difficult issues directly and ensure that democratic institutions actively safeguard vulnerable communities.

AGPI DISCUSSES SECURITY WITH KEY BRITISH GROUP:

March 26, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) held a substantive meeting with Dr. Dave Rich of the Community Security Trust, focusing on practical responses to rising antisemitism. Dr. Rich noted that while political leaders often issue strong statements following attacks, the Jewish community expects these words to translate into concrete action—effective policing, prosecutions, and policy reform. He emphasized that such systemic responses will take time, though progress is underway, including arrests in the recent arson attacks. In the interim, CST is playing a critical role, distributing £28 million in government funding to strengthen security across Jewish institutions.

AGPI ATTENDS IRANIAN RALLY IN LONDON:

March 24, 2026 The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) attended a major Iranian community rally in London opposing the regime in Iran, demonstrating solidarity with those advocating for freedom, human rights, and democratic reform. During the event, AGPI engaged with Iranian community leaders and activists, holding meaningful discussions on shared concerns, including extremism, repression, and the global impact of the regime’s actions. The meetings underscored common ground between communities facing threats from authoritarianism and hate. AGPI reaffirmed its commitment to building alliances with voices of courage and supporting efforts that promote democracy, stability, and human dignity worldwide.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AGPI ENGAGES UK LEADERSHIP FOLLOWING

ANTISEMITIC ATTACK IN LONDON

London, UK — March 24, 2026 — Following the recent antisemitic attack in London, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is actively engaging in a series of high-level meetings across the United Kingdom with senior political, diplomatic, and Jewish communal leaders to strengthen coordinated efforts to combat antisemitism and reinforce community security.

The organization has also engaged with Members of Parliament and prominent Jewish community leaders as part of its ongoing consultations.

AGPI has held meetings with leadership from the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the representative body of British Jewry, and is scheduled to meet with Lord John Mann, who serves as HM Government’s Independent Adviser on Antisemitism, as well as Canada’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Bill Blair.

Statements by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI)

AGPI Statement Condemning BC Teachers Federation for BDS Endorsement:

March 18, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the British Columbia Teachers’ Federation’s endorsement of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

This decision is deeply misguided and represents a troubling politicization of our education system. Teachers’ unions should be focused on advancing education, fostering inclusion, and supporting student success—not promoting divisive international campaigns that undermine dialogue and coexistence.

BDS has long been associated with efforts to isolate and delegitimize Israel, and its endorsement risks alienating Jewish students, families, and educators at a time when antisemitism is rising across Canada. Classrooms must remain safe spaces grounded in respect, critical thinking, and balanced perspectives.

By adopting this motion, the BCTF has strayed from its core mandate and injected unnecessary polarization into British Columbia’s schools.

AGPI calls on the BCTF to reverse this decision and recommit to its responsibility to unite—not divide—students and communities.

Statement by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) About its letter to Attorney General

March 17, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) has written to Ontario Attorney General Doug Downey urging the immediate approval of consent for the Toronto Police Service to proceed with charges following the display of antisemitic imagery at a recent Toronto demonstration.

AGPI noted that Toronto Police have confirmed hate crime investigators are consulting with the Attorney General’s office, underscoring the seriousness of the incident. The organization emphasized that the imagery was not legitimate protest, but dehumanizing and hateful content that evokes some of history’s darkest chapters and risks inciting further hostility.

The letter comes amid a broader rise in antisemitic incidents across the Greater Toronto Area, including recent attacks on synagogues and Jewish institutions. AGPI warned that failure to act decisively could embolden further hate.

“Time is of the essence,” AGPI stated, calling on the Attorney General to grant consent without delay so arrests can proceed promptly and to reaffirm that hate propaganda will not be tolerated in Ontario.

Statement by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) Marking Anniversary of Bombing of Israeli Embassy

March 17, 2026 Today, we mark the solemn anniversary of the March 17, 1992 terrorist bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires—an attack carried out by Iranian-backed operatives that murdered 29 innocent people and injured hundreds more. This heinous act was not only an assault on Israel, but on humanity itself, targeting civilians in cold blood and leaving a permanent scar on Argentina’s Jewish community and the world.

A number of years ago, AGPI had the honour of visiting the site of the bombing and participating in a remembrance ceremony alongside members of the local community. Standing on that ground, we witnessed firsthand the enduring pain, resilience, and determination of those who refuse to let terror define them. Their strength remains an inspiration and a call to conscience for all who believe in justice and peace.

This anniversary serves as a stark reminder of the global reach of Iran’s terror network and its proxy, Hezbollah, which have orchestrated and supported attacks against civilians across continents for decades. From Buenos Aires to the Middle East and beyond, these acts of violence are part of a sustained campaign rooted in hatred and extremism.

AGPI reaffirms that the world must confront this reality with clarity and resolve. Iran’s ongoing support for terrorism cannot be ignored or appeased. To safeguard global security and uphold the values of freedom and human dignity, Iran’s capacity to fund, arm, and direct terror must be decisively stopped.

We honour the memory of the victims and stand in solidarity with their families. May their memory be a blessing—and may it strengthen our collective resolve to ensure that such atrocities are never repeated.

AGPI Issues Open Letter to Edmonton Mayor Knack in Support of Chief Driechel (SEE ADJACENT LETTER)

March 16, 2026: Edmonton Police Chief Warren Driechel joined a professional delegation organized by the Major Cities Chiefs Association to learn best practices in policing. The outrage simply because the trip included Israel reveals a troubling double standard. Singling out engagement with the Jewish state is wrong—and in today’s climate, risks crossing into antisemitism. Edmonton’s leaders should stand firmly with the Chief and reject this politicized campaign.

Statement by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) Commending Premier Doug Ford

Statement by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) Commending Premier Doug Ford

MARCH 13, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes and strongly supports Premier Doug Ford’s decision to pursue an injunction against the Al-Quds Day demonstration planned for Toronto.

In announcing this step, Premier Ford spoke plainly about what Canadians have witnessed in recent weeks. As he stated, “Over the past few weeks, I’ve been disgusted and appalled by the open hatred and violence taking place in our country. We’ve seen consulates and synagogues shot at. We’ve seen entire communities targeted and intimidated.” His words reflect what many Canadians — particularly within the Jewish community — have been experiencing and warning about for months.

Premier Ford also spoke to the urgency of confronting this moment. “We need to speak openly and honestly about the rampant hatred on our streets with each passing day. We need to speak hard truths. I don’t recognize our country — the Canada we know and love. If we don’t stand up against the open hatred in our country today, more violence and hate will follow.”

AGPI believes the Premier is right. After repeated shootings targeting synagogues in the Greater Toronto Area, attacks on Jewish institutions, and growing intimidation of Jewish communities, the situation has escalated beyond isolated incidents and now represents a serious threat to public safety and social cohesion.

Earlier today, in its Friday Report, AGPI called for an immediate ban on Al-Quds Day demonstrations in Canada. Founded by the Iranian regime, Al-Quds Day has historically served as a platform for calls for the destruction of Israel and the spread of extremist rhetoric that fuels hatred and division.

In addition, in an article published today on the front page of the National Post, AGPI called for immediate and decisive action to confront the wave of antisemitic violence and intimidation facing Canadian Jews, warning that the country must confront the moment with moral clarity and resolve. As we wrote today, Canada must act decisively and root out evil before it spreads further.

We commend Premier Ford for demonstrating leadership and moral clarity at a critical time. AGPI also thanks the Toronto Police Service and other law enforcement agencies for heightening vigilance and taking proactive steps to protect the public.

Canada must remain a country where freedom and democracy flourish — but where hatred, intimidation, and incitement to violence are firmly rejected. Standing up to hatred today is essential to protecting the Canada we know and love tomorrow.

Israel’s Security and the War with Iran

AGPI Hosts Leadership Briefing with MK Boaz Bismuth, Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee

MARCH 12, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) recently hosted a leadership briefing with Boaz Bismuth, Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, in conversation with AGPI Chairman and CEO Avi Abraham Benlolo.

During the 45-minute discussion, Bismuth addressed Israel’s war against Iran and Hezbollah, outlining the strategic objectives required to restore long-term security. He emphasized Iran as the central threat to regional stability and discussed Hezbollah’s role as Iran’s forward military force. The conversation also explored Israel’s military resilience, the lessons learned since October 7, and the importance of national unity during wartime.

Bismuth also reflected on internal dynamics in Lebanon, growing pressure on Hezbollah, and the broader risks of regional escalation. The discussion concluded with questions from community leaders on international diplomacy and the future of the Middle East.

AGPI encourages the public to watch the full recording of this important briefing for deeper insight into Israel’s security challenges and the evolving regional landscape.

AGPI STATEMENTS OF THE WEEK

AGPI Statement Commending Police Vigilance and Calling for Ban on Al Quds Day

March 12, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) commends the Toronto Police Service for its vigilance following the recent gunfire attacks on three synagogues in the Greater Toronto Area. Their increased presence and engagement have helped reassure the Jewish community during a deeply troubling week.

AGPI also thanks Toronto Police for heightening vigilance around Al Quds Day and for holding a press conference warning participants that incitement, intimidation, or unlawful conduct will not be tolerated.

However, AGPI calls on authorities to prohibit Al Quds Day demonstrations in Toronto and across Canada.

Founded by the Iranian regime, Al Quds Day in its very essence calls for the destruction of Israel and has long been associated with hateful rhetoric that fosters hostility, toxicity, and the potential for violence.

Authorities in London England have already approved a request from the Metropolitan Police Service to ban the march to prevent serious public disorder.

With Toronto already reeling from synagogue shootings this week, Canada must place community safety first and prevent events that risk inflaming tensions or intimidating Jewish Canadians.

AGPI Statement on Synagogue Attack in Detroit

March 12, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns today’s attack targeting Temple Israel in the Detroit area. This disturbing incident follows the gunfire attacks on three synagogues in the Greater Toronto Area earlier this week, highlighting a dangerous escalation of violence against Jewish institutions in North America.

Synagogues are houses of worship, not targets. Yet Jewish communities are increasingly forced to live under threat simply for gathering to pray.

In Canada, where only police are authorized to carry firearms, it is critical that authorities ensure visible police presence at Jewish institutions, including synagogues, schools, and community centres, for the duration of this war. Jewish families must be able to worship safely and without fear.

Statement by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) on $10 Million Security Grant By Government of Canada:

March 12, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) acknowledges Ottawa’s $10 million pledge to protect Jewish institutions following the recent synagogue shootings.

While welcome, this response is wholly insufficient. Canada is facing a national emergency as Jewish houses of worship come under gunfire. Protecting Jewish Canadians must be treated as a national security priority, with police deployed at vulnerable institutions across the country.

AGPI warned authorities repeatedly and met with political leaders. Some listened, but decisive action has been lacking. Words matter — and the hateful rhetoric on our streets has now turned into violence. Canada must act immediately to defend its Jewish community.

Statement by The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) on Spain:

MARCH 11, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the Government of Spain for its decision to withdraw its ambassador from Israel — a democratic ally — while maintaining diplomatic relations with some of the world’s most notorious human rights abusers.

Rather than withdrawing ambassadors from regimes such as Iran, Syria, North Korea, and other authoritarian states that openly oppress their citizens and export violence across the globe, Spain has chosen to downgrade relations with the Middle East’s only democracy. This decision exposes a troubling double standard and sends a dangerous message about Spain’s moral compass.

At a time when Israel faces missile attacks, terrorism, and threats from extremist regimes that openly call for its destruction, democratic nations should stand firmly with those defending freedom and stability — not isolate them.

Spain’s actions risk emboldening extremists while undermining the values of democracy, human rights, and peace that Europe claims to defend.

AGPI calls on Spain to reconsider this misguided decision and instead stand with democratic allies against terrorism, extremism, and authoritarian regimes that threaten global stability.

Statement on the Attacks Against Synagogues

in the Greater Toronto Area

Saturday, March 7, 2026: As we awoke this Shabbat morning, we learned of two terrorist attacks against prominent synagogues in the Greater Toronto Area. The front entrances of Thornhill’s Beth Avraham Yoseph and Toronto’s Shaarei Shomayim Synagogues were riddled with bullets overnight. These frightening attacks follow a shooting earlier this week at Temple Emanu-El in North York.

This morning, we immediately contacted police leadership. The Abraham Global Peace Initiative’s Chairman and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, met with York Regional Police Deputy Chief Kevin McCloskey and Deputy Chief Paulo Da Silva in front of the BAYT Synagogue in Thornhill to discuss the overnight attack.

We reiterated the urgent need to identify and apprehend those responsible and to reinforce police presence around Jewish community institutions to ensure the safety and security of the community.

Let us be clear: these are terrorist attacks. They must not be minimized or misconstrued as merely “antisemitism,” as some political leaders have suggested. Gunfire directed at houses of worship is an act of terror designed to intimidate an entire community.  They must be classified and investigated as such.

At the same time, we are encouraged that these attacks did not succeed in discouraging worshippers from attending synagogue this Shabbat, including at the communities directly affected. The resilience and unity of the Jewish community sends a powerful message that intimidation will never defeat faith and solidarity.

We continue to call on authorities to protect the Jewish community, enforce the law with full force, and bring to justice anyone who terrorizes Jewish Canadians.

We thank police leaders for their swift response, their presence on the ground, and their commitment to stand with the Jewish community during this difficult time.

A Snapshot from the Frontlines

A Snapshot From the Front Lines:

March 3, 2026: Currently, AGPI's staff on the ground describe repeated sirens, loud explosions, and families rushing into shelters as missile barrages strike cities across the country. Iran is firing ballistic missiles at Israel in an escalating war that has drawn the region into one of the most dangerous confrontations in decades.

Despite the devastation, residents expressed resilience and determination in the face of ongoing threats to their homes and families.  They recognize that history is being made, especially on this holiday of Purim.

Today, representatives of the Abraham Global Peace Initiative visited several of the apartment buildings struck by Iranian missiles in Tel Aviv, speaking directly with residents who have endured repeated attacks and nights spent in shelters. AGPI conveyed that the Canadian Jewish community and its many allies are praying for their safety and standing in solidarity with them during this difficult time.

One of the most devastating recent attacks struck the city of Beit Shemesh, where an Iranian ballistic missile hit a synagogue, killing nine civilians and injuring many others. In a separate attack in Tel Aviv, one civilian was killed when a missile struck an apartment building, causing extensive damage to surrounding homes.  Dozens more have been injured, but Israelis are strong and resilient.

Across Israel, millions of civilians have been forced into bomb shelters as waves of missiles and drones continue to target cities and towns. Even with Israel’s advanced air defence systems intercepting many projectiles, some missiles have penetrated defences and caused significant destruction.

AGPI calls on the international community to unequivocally condemn Iran’s targeting of civilian populations and regional infrastructure. Deliberate attacks on residential areas and international facilities violate fundamental principles of international law and threaten the stability of the entire Middle East.

At the same time, Hezbollah continues to fire rockets at northern Israel, escalating tensions along the Lebanese border. In response, Israeli forces have expanded operations in southern Lebanon and conducted strikes in Beirut targeting Hezbollah infrastructure and leadership. AGPI reiterates its long-standing call on the Government of Lebanon to fulfill its sovereign responsibilities and ensure that Hezbollah disarms and surrenders its weapons, as required under international commitments and United Nations resolutions.

The conflict has also expanded across the broader Middle East. Iran has launched missile and drone attacks against multiple Gulf states — including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait — among others. These attacks have frequently targeted U.S. military installations and diplomatic facilities across the region, including American bases in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE.

Explosions and air defence interceptions have been reported across several Gulf capitals, highlighting how the Iranian regime has expanded the conflict well beyond Israel’s borders in an effort to pressure regional governments and the United States.

We call on Prime Minister Mark Carney to reach out directly to the Government of Israel, as he has done with the United Arab Emirates, and clearly express that Canada stands in solidarity with Israel against Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting civilians across the region. Canada’s voice matters in moments of crisis, and it is essential that democratic nations stand together in defence of civilian life and regional security.

AGPI supports the U.S. and Israeli objectives to dismantle the Iranian regime’s war-making capabilities — including its ability to develop ballistic and nuclear missiles, launch terrorist attacks around the world, and supply proxy organizations such as the Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah.

At the same time, AGPI emphasizes that the Iranian people themselves deserve freedom and dignity. The world will be a safer place without the Iranian regime — a day that will foster incredible peace and prosperity across the Middle East and create new opportunities for cooperation, stability, and reconciliation throughout the region.

AGPI Condemns Shooting at North York Synagogue; In Contact with Police Authorities

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AGPI Condemns Shooting at North York Synagogue; In Contact with Police Authorities

Toronto, ON – March 3, 2026 – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) unequivocally condemns last night’s shooting attack targeting Temple Emanu-El in North York.

According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded at approximately 10:50 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the synagogue near Bayview Avenue and Highway 401. Evidence of gunfire and property damage was located. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The investigation is being led by the Gun and Gang Task Force in coordination with the Hate Crime Unit.

AGPI has been in direct communication with police authorities and is closely monitoring developments. We commend law enforcement for their swift response and for increasing patrols in the area to ensure community safety.

A house of worship is sacred ground. An attack on a synagogue is not merely an act of vandalism or intimidation — it is an assault on religious freedom, community security, and the fundamental values that define our country. The Jewish community in Toronto has endured repeated incidents of targeting and intimidation in recent years. This latest act of gun violence represents a deeply disturbing escalation.

In the context of heightened global tensions and rising antisemitism, Jewish institutions must not become targets for those seeking to import international conflicts into our neighbourhoods. Canadian Jews have the right to gather, pray, and live without fear.

AGPI calls on all levels of government to ensure that Jewish places of worship and community institutions receive the security resources they require. We also urge anyone with information about this incident to cooperate fully with police.

We stand in solidarity with the congregation of Temple Emanu-El and with the broader Jewish community. Hate, intimidation, and violence have no place in Canada.

Statement on Iran from The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI)

Statement on Iran from The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI)

February 28, 2026: Today, the Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) joined thousands of Iranians in the Greater Toronto Area to show solidarity with the Iranian people and demand the downfall of the oppressive regime in Tehran.

Amid unfolding reports that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei may be dead following joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iranian targets, a historic moment has arrived in the struggle for freedom and human rights in Iran.

At this critical juncture, AGPI stands with the Iranian people and urges those inside Iran to take to the streets to peacefully topple the regime and pursue a future of democracy and dignity.

The situation in the region has dramatically escalated. In response to the ongoing military campaign by the United States and Israel, Iran has launched more than 200 missiles toward the State of Israel — a barrage that has struck residential areas and tragically resulted in civilian casualties, including the death of a woman in central Israel and over 20 wounded.

AGPI condemns in the strongest possible terms the targeting of civilians. We stand in unwavering solidarity with Israel and the citizens who are enduring these attacks. The deliberate or indiscriminate launching of missiles toward population centers violates fundamental human rights and international norms. Civilians, by definition, must never be targets of violence.

The Iranian regime’s actions, which have caused widespread fear and loss, only underscore the urgent need for systemic change in Iran. Now is the time for the Iranian people — long silenced, long oppressed — to rise together in peaceful solidarity and demand an end to theocratic repression, state-sponsored terror, and violence against innocent communities both within Iran and beyond.

AGPI also stands firmly with the Jewish community and all those who value peace, security, and human dignity. The alliance between proponents of freedom in the Middle East and those who champion human rights worldwide has never been more vital.

We call on the international community to support the Iranian people’s aspirations for freedom, to protect all civilians from harm, and to uphold the principles of justice, democracy, and peace. AGPI will continue to monitor developments closely and advocate for policies that defend human rights and the sanctity of life.

Am Israel Chai.
Freedom and dignity for all.

AGPI Commends India for its Stand with Israel

February 27, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) warmly commends the Republic of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his principled and courageous reaffirmation of India’s friendship with Israel. Prime Minister Modi’s address before the Knesset was not merely diplomatic — it was historic. At a time of heightened regional tension and the looming threat of Iranian aggression, he chose to stand publicly and unequivocally with the Jewish state. His words — conveying the greetings of 1.4 billion Indians and a message of “friendship, respect, and partnership” between two ancient civilizations — reflect a relationship rooted not in expedience, but in shared democratic values, security interests, and civilizational pride.

India’s firm stance against terrorism resonates deeply with Israel and with Jewish communities worldwide. Having endured the horrors of the 2008 Mumbai attacks and ongoing threats to its sovereignty, India understands the scourge of extremism. Prime Minister Modi’s declaration of “zero tolerance for terrorism, with no double standards,” and his unequivocal condemnation of the October 7 Hamas atrocities, signal moral clarity in an era too often marked by equivocation. Defence and security cooperation between the two nations — spanning advanced technologies, intelligence sharing, and strategic alignment — underscores a partnership forged through common challenges and mutual trust.

AGPI also recognizes the profound historical ties between India and the Jewish people. For centuries, Jewish communities such as the Bene Israel, Cochini Jews, and Baghdadi Jews flourished in India without pogroms, expulsions, or state-sponsored persecution — a rarity in Jewish history. Today, the India–Israel partnership extends beyond security to innovation, technology, and economic growth, with new agreements strengthening collaboration in quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure. As President Isaac Herzog aptly described it, this is a bond between “two ancient nations. Two modern democracies. One strategic partnership changing the world for the better.” AGPI applauds India’s steadfast leadership and stands in full support of this remarkable alliance.

AGPI Stands with Ambassador Mike Huckabee in Defense of Israel

February 22, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses its strong support for Ambassador Mike Huckabee following his principled defense of Israel in response to recent interview with Tucker Carlson and unwarranted condemnations voiced by certain Arab and Muslim nations.

At a time when Israel faces relentless scrutiny and distortion in the global arena, moral clarity and conviction are not merely admirable—they are essential. Ambassador Huckabee has consistently demonstrated steadfast support for Israel’s right to defend itself, its historical connection to its land, and its place among the family of democratic nations.

Criticism of Israel is legitimate in any democracy. However, the reflexive targeting of the Jewish state—often devoid from context and moral balance—undermines peace and emboldens extremism. Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people. A DNA test of inhabitants is not demanded from any other peoples or nations.

To stand with Israel in such a moment is to stand with democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.

Ambassador Huckabee’s words reflect a deep commitment to faith, principle, and truth. His refusal to yield to political pressure or fashionable narratives sends a powerful message: defending Israel is not a partisan issue—it is a moral one.

AGPI believes that leaders who speak with courage and conviction strengthen the bonds between our nations and reinforce the values that unite us. We commend Ambassador Huckabee for standing tall and righteous in defense of Israel.

We are with him.

AGPI Takes a Stand Following Avi Abraham Benlolo’s National Post Commentary on Iran

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 20, 2026

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today reaffirms its principled position following the publication of an opinion article in the National Post by its Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.

In his analysis, Benlolo outlines the stark reality confronting Western democracies: decades of negotiations with the Iranian regime have produced delay, deception, and continued nuclear advancement. From the era of Barack Obama through the first administration of Donald Trump, Tehran has demonstrated a consistent strategy — buy time, frustrate diplomacy, and press forward with its nuclear and ballistic ambitions.

Following failed negotiations in Geneva, Vice President J.D. Vance acknowledged that Iran remains unwilling to accept clearly defined red lines. Secretary of State Marco Rubio candidly observed that no administration has successfully secured a durable agreement with Tehran.

Benlolo’s article underscores what AGPI has long maintained: any viable agreement must go beyond temporary nuclear restraints. It must dismantle Iran’s ballistic missile program, end its sponsorship of terror proxies such as Hezbollah and Hamas, and confront the regime’s ideological commitment to regional destabilization.

The Iranian regime’s June ballistic missile attacks on Israeli civilian centres demonstrated that its capabilities are not theoretical. Its brutal crackdowns — resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of its own citizens — demonstrate the nature of the regime itself. As Benlolo writes, the first victims of Tehran’s extremism are the Iranian people.

Diplomacy must be pursued seriously and exhaustively. But diplomacy cannot serve as a shield for nuclear advancement. Containment has failed. Sanctions alone have failed. Illusions have failed.

As long as the regime led by Ali Khamenei remains committed to nuclear ambition, ballistic escalation, and regional terror, Western democracies must prepare for decisive alternatives.

AGPI stands with Israel’s right to defend itself. We stand with Western allies confronting global instability. And we stand with the Iranian people who seek freedom from repression.

The message is clear: Iran’s past behaviour cannot dictate the future. The time for moral clarity and strategic resolve is now.

AGPI Welcomes EU Council Designation of IRGC as a Terrorist Entity

February 19, 2026: The The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the decision by the Council of the European Union to formally designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization under the EU terrorist list. This landmark step—supported collectively by all 27 EU member governments through the European Council and the Council of the EU—sends a powerful and unified message that state-sponsored terrorism will not be tolerated.

The designation subjects the IRGC to sweeping restrictive measures, including asset freezes and a prohibition on EU operators making funds or economic resources available to the group. By acting decisively, the European Union has reinforced international security, upheld democratic values, and strengthened protections against regimes that fuel instability and violence.

AGPI has long called for coordinated global action against the IRGC. Today’s decision marks a significant advance in holding Iran’s terror apparatus accountable and defending freedom worldwide.

AGPI Responds to Bret Stephens: We Must Strengthen Jewish Identity and Confront Antisemitism

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 13, 2026

Toronto — In The National Post, Avi Abraham Benlolo, Founder and Chairman of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), responded to remarks by Bret Stephens, in which Stephens questioned whether millions of dollars should continue to be spent fighting antisemitism and argued instead for prioritizing investments in Jewish identity and communal life.

“Mr. Stephens is right about one thing,” said Benlolo. “This is a scary time to be a Jew. And strengthening Jewish education, day schools, synagogues, camps, cultural institutions and our connection to Israel is absolutely imperative. Jewish identity must be our spiritual compass and moral anchor.”

However, AGPI firmly disagrees with the suggestion that funding the fight against antisemitism is a waste of money.

“To tell the families of victims in Toronto, Paris, Manchester or Bondi Beach that confronting antisemitism is not worth the investment is untenable,” Benlolo stated. “A community that stands on one leg — identity without advocacy, or advocacy without identity — is bound to fall. We must do both.”

In the aftermath of October 7, when mobs in major Western cities openly called for genocide, Jewish communities did not have the luxury of retreating inward. Silence would have ceded the public square to extremists and distorted narratives. Advocacy ensured that Jewish voices were heard, that alliances were built, and that democratic leaders stood up publicly against hatred.

“Did you hear the applause that Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre received from a largely non-Jewish audience when he condemned antisemitism at his party’s convention last month?” Benlolo asked. “That applause was not accidental. It reflects years of outreach, engagement, and principled advocacy. There is a silent majority that stands with us.”

AGPI agrees that Jewish education requires recalibration and renewed investment. A community with significant assets that fails to provide accessible Jewish education to every child risks weakening its own future. Benlolo acknowledged that even traditional Holocaust education frameworks must be reassessed in light of the post–October 7 reality.

“We must ask hard questions about what has and hasn’t worked,” he said. “But recalibration does not mean retreat.”

Stephens argued that constantly seeking to prove Jewish worthiness is futile. AGPI maintains that strategic outreach and coalition-building are not about seeking approval, but about defending shared democratic values.

“The fight against antisemitism is not merely a Jewish issue,” Benlolo said. “It is a frontline defense of religious freedom, pluralism, and democracy. If we give up that fight, we weaken the moral architecture that protects everyone.”

Jewish identity has always been intertwined with social justice and the defense of human rights. From the civil rights movement to modern struggles for equality, Jews have stood against hatred not only when it targeted them, but when it targeted others. Confronting antisemitism today is a continuation of that legacy.

“Antisemitism does not define Jewish identity,” Benlolo concluded. “The beauty of being Jewish transcends the hatred we face. But it would be reckless to ignore the enemy at the gates. The fight against antisemitism may need refinement and renewed strategy — but it is far from over. In many ways, it has only just begun.”

AGPI invites Canadians and allies to sign its Declaration Against Antisemitism and stand united in defense of freedom, democracy, and Jewish life.

AGPI Welcomes International Condemnation of Francesca Albanese and Calls for Her Resignation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 12, 2026 - The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the growing number of democratic nations condemning UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese and calls for her immediate resignation.

The international backlash follows remarks in which Albanese stated:

“Instead of stopping Israel, most of the world has armed [it], giving it political excuses, political sheltering, economic and financial support. We now see that we as a humanity have a common enemy.”

Governments across Europe and North America have raised serious concerns that such rhetoric undermines the impartiality required of a UN mandate holder.

🇫🇷 France has called for her resignation, with Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot reportedly describing her remarks as “outrageous” and incompatible with UN standards.
🇩🇪 Germany joined France in expressing that her position is untenable following her comments.
🇦🇹 Austria, through Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, stated that while criticism of Israel is legitimate, Albanese’s language “undermines the impartiality and highest standards required of a UN representative.”
🇮🇹 Italy, through members of its Senate, has publicly criticized her conduct and questioned her adherence to her mandate.
🇺🇸 The United States has previously raised strong objections to her rhetoric and suitability for office, emphasizing that bias and antisemitic language have no place in UN mechanisms.

“Human rights mechanisms must be anchored in neutrality and universal principles,” said Avi Abraham Benlolo, Founder and Chairman of AGPI. “When a UN official frames a member state as a ‘common enemy,’ it erodes trust in the institution itself.”

AGPI affirms that legitimate scrutiny of any government under international law is appropriate. However, rhetoric that delegitimizes a UN member state or fuels divisive narratives compromises the integrity of the Human Rights Council.

“For the credibility of the United Nations and the protection of universal human rights standards, Francesca Albanese should step down,” Benlolo added.

Statement from The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI)

Toronto, February 4, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative  (AGPI) expresses serious concern following the Government of Canada’s decision to eliminate the Office of the Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism.

While AGPI has long acknowledged that the previous structure was ineffective and in need of reform, the outright deletion of the office raises fundamental questions about how Canada intends to meet its international obligations to preserve Holocaust memory and combat antisemitism.

The role of the Special Envoy was not symbolic. It was established to carry out Canada’s commitment to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA)—including advancing and operationalizing the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism across government, public institutions, and civil society.

With the office now abolished, it is unclear who will be responsible for implementing this mandate, ensuring accountability, or coordinating national policy at a time of unprecedented antisemitism.

The absence of a dedicated body also brings into question how the memory of the Holocaust will be preserved in Canada. Holocaust remembrance is not merely an educational exercise; it is a moral obligation and a cornerstone of preventing the repetition of history. Without a clear authority, leadership risks being fragmented, inconsistent, or sidelined altogether.

AGPI believes antisemitism cannot be addressed effectively when it is absorbed into broad advisory frameworks. It is a distinct, historically rooted, and globally coordinated hatred that requires focused expertise, measurable outcomes, and institutional authority.

AGPI therefore calls on the Government of Canada, under Prime Minister Mark Carney, to replace the former envoy structure with a Commission on Antisemitism—one that is independent, empowered, and explicitly mandated to uphold IHRA principles, preserve Holocaust remembrance, and confront antisemitism in all its contemporary forms.

Canada must not retreat from its responsibility. At a moment when antisemitism is surging at home and abroad, leadership must be strengthened—not erased.

AGPI Applauds European Union’s Designation of Iran’s IRGC as a Terrorist Organization

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, Canada —January 29, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today applauds the European Union’s announcement designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization—a historic and long-overdue step in confronting the Iranian regime’s global campaign of terrorism and systematic human-rights abuses.

“This decision marks a watershed moment for international security and moral clarity,” said AGPI. “By naming the IRGC for what it is—a state-sponsored terrorist force—the European Union has sent a powerful signal that impunity for terror, repression, and regional destabilization will no longer be tolerated.”

The IRGC is a central pillar of Iran’s repressive apparatus. It fuels and arms terrorist proxies across the Middle East, advances the regime’s destabilizing ambitions, enables the pursuit of nuclear capabilities, and brutally suppresses dissent at home. Most recently, the IRGC led violent crackdowns on peaceful protesters, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Iranian citizens.

The designation carries profound implications for the safety of Europe and its Jewish communities, strengthens the international legal framework to disrupt terrorist financing and operations, and advances accountability for one of the world’s most dangerous actors. AGPI urges allied democracies to follow suit and align their policies with the European Union to ensure robust enforcement, coordinated sanctions, and meaningful consequences for the IRGC and its enablers.

“Real peace requires confronting the architects of terror,” AGPI added. “Today’s decision brings the international community one step closer to justice for the Iranian people and to lasting security for the region.”

AGPI Marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day at Toronto City Hall and Calls for Stronger Action Against Antisemitism

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON — January 27, 2026 The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) solemnly marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day today at Toronto City Hall, where AGPI was formally invited to light a memorial candle in memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust.

AGPI reaffirmed that the lessons of the Holocaust guide its work every single day. From responding to human-rights concerns around the world to working with educators, law enforcement, and the public at large, Holocaust remembrance is the cornerstone of AGPI’s mission in Canada and internationally.

Those lessons are more urgent than ever. At a time when nearly 70 per cent of all religion-based hate crimes in Canada target the Jewish community, Holocaust education is no longer only about remembering the past—it is about confronting the present and protecting the future.

In a video statement released today, AGPI called on Toronto City Councillors to take stronger and more decisive action in confronting antisemitism in the city. AGPI specifically urged greater leadership from municipal authorities, noting the absence of Mayor Olivia Chow from today’s memorial ceremony as a moment that underscores the need for deeper civic engagement and visible commitment.

At the same time, AGPI commended Deputy Mayor Mike Colle and Councillor James Pasternak for their relentless leadership at City Hall in the fight against antisemitism, recognizing their consistent advocacy, courage, and moral clarity in defending Toronto’s Jewish community.

AGPI remains on the front lines of Holocaust commemoration and education. Last year, AGPI was the only Canadian organization to participate in the Auschwitz memorial marking 80 years since the liberation of the camp. AGPI’s leadership has led more than eleven educational missions to the Nazi death camps and is deeply steeped in Holocaust education, ensuring that remembrance is not symbolic, but lived, taught, and applied.

Even as the world changes and global conflicts intensify, the Holocaust remains a pivotal moment in human civilization—one that continues to shape our moral compass and collective values. Its lessons compel action against hatred, denial, and indifference, and demand leadership rooted in responsibility, courage, and truth.

“Holocaust remembrance is not confined to a single day,” said AGPI. “It informs our conscience and our conduct every day. It reminds us that silence is never neutral, that education is our strongest defence, and that moral clarity must guide leadership in times of crisis.”

On this day of remembrance, AGPI honours the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution. We recommit ourselves to ensuring that their memory endures not only in words, but in action—so that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to guide humanity toward justice, responsibility, and peace.

AGPI Responds to Prime Minister Carney’s Davos Address, Calls for Moral Clarity at Home and Abroad

Toronto — January 23, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today responded to Prime Minister Mark Carney’s recent address at the World Economic Forum, acknowledging the speech as thoughtful, polished, and reflective of Canada’s desire to define its place in a rapidly changing global order.

AGPI recognizes the Prime Minister’s efforts to promote Canada internationally and to navigate economic uncertainty with new and emerging partners. At the same time, the organization gently cautions that Canada’s global engagement must continue to be guided by democratic values, human rights, and principled alliances, particularly with long-standing allies who share those commitments.

Drawing on Canada’s own foreign-policy tradition — including the moral clarity once articulated by former Prime Minister Stephen Harper — AGPI underscores that credibility on the world stage begins at home. In recent years, the erosion of public trust, rising antisemitism, and inconsistent enforcement of laws have strained Canada’s social fabric and challenged its reputation as a model of pluralism and coexistence.

“Canada’s strength has always come from aligning economic ambition with moral leadership,” AGPI said in a statement. “As global rules evolve, so too must our resolve to ensure that our partnerships, policies, and public spaces reflect the values we seek to project abroad.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AGPI Reaffirms Israel’s Right to Dismantle UNRWA Operations Implicated in Terror Activity

January 20, 2026 - The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today reaffirmed Israel’s sovereign right and responsibility to dismantle the East Jerusalem headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in light of overwhelming evidence of the agency’s complicity—direct or indirect—with Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.

AGPI’s position is informed not only by post–October 7 revelations, but by years of direct engagement with UNRWA and United Nations officials.

In October 2021, AGPI’s Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, met with senior UNRWA leadership inside the very Jerusalem compound that is now being dismantled, to raise grave concerns regarding the use of antisemitic and inciteful materials in UNRWA-administered school curricula. During that meeting, UNRWA leaders categorically denied these concerns and, at best, stated that they were unable to reform Palestinian Authority textbooks, despite mounting independent evidence demonstrating otherwise.

In a separate meeting in New York with UNRWA and UN officials, a senior official informed AGPI that they were unaware of Hamas weapons or military infrastructure being stored beneath or within UNRWA facilities in Gaza.

That assertion has since been irrefutably disproven.

Following the October 7 Hamas massacre, it became publicly known that Hamas operated a sophisticated data center directly beneath UNRWA’s Gaza headquarters, confirming long-standing warnings that UNRWA facilities were being exploited as cover for terrorist operations.

“No sovereign state would permit an organization accused of enabling or shielding terrorism to continue operating on its soil,” AGPI said in a statement. “Israel is acting as any democracy would to protect its citizens and uphold the rule of law.”

AGPI further calls on the Government of Canada to immediately cease all funding to UNRWA and to reassess its humanitarian aid policy in the region. Canada’s assistance must not flow through an organization whose credibility has been irreparably compromised by repeated failures, denials, and proven exploitation by terrorist actors. Instead, AGPI urges Canada to redirect humanitarian funding to reputable international agencies with strict oversight, or to work directly with Israel to ensure that aid reaches civilians in need and does not fall into the hands of Hamas. Humanitarian aid must save lives—not prolong conflict or enable terror.

AGPI emphasized that humanitarian assistance must never serve as a shield for extremism, and that the credibility of international institutions depends on transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for terrorist infiltration.

“UNRWA’s repeated denials, failure to reform, and proven proximity to Hamas operations have fatally undermined its legitimacy,” the statement continued. “Israel’s decision to dismantle UNRWA’s  Jerusalem headquarters is not only justified—it is necessary.”

AGPI stands firmly with Israel’s right to defend itself, dismantle terror-compromised infrastructure, and demand that international organizations operating in the region meet the most basic standards of neutrality, responsibility, and moral clarity.

AGPI Warns Board of Peace Has Launched on the Wrong Foot; Calls for Explicit Recognition of Israel and Alignment with the Abraham Accords

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 19, 2026— The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today reiterated its deep concern regarding the proposed Board of Peace associated with Phase Two of the Gaza framework, warning that Israel’s safety, security, and legitimacy are being dangerously sidelined at the outset. AGPI respectfully urges Donald Trump to correct this course to ensure that any peace mechanism is grounded in clarity, credibility, and shared principles.

AGPI is further concerned that the mission statement of the Board of Peace makes no explicit reference to the peace and security of the State of Israel, nor does it affirm recognition of Israel itself. This omission is not merely symbolic; it strikes at the heart of whether the initiative can produce real and lasting peace. By failing to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist in security, the Board of Peace has, in AGPI’s view, launched on the wrong foot.

“As an organization committed to Israel’s safety and to genuine peace in the region, we believe recognition of Israel is the absolute baseline,” said AGPI. “Any peace framework that avoids naming Israel—or its security—signals ambiguity where moral clarity is required.”

AGPI emphasized that its mission includes preserving and expanding the Abraham Accords, which demonstrated that peace advances when nations openly recognize Israel and commit to normalization, cooperation, and coexistence. In this context, AGPI asserts that all nations participating on the Board of Peace should be signatories to the Abraham Accords, or at minimum have formally recognized Israel and demonstrated a clear record of alignment with its security and regional stability.

The organization reiterated that lasting peace in Gaza is inseparable from the complete disarmament of Hamas, the permanent demilitarization of the territory, and the exclusion of foreign military forces from states not aligned with Israel’s security interests. Any deviation from these principles risks emboldening extremists and undermining deterrence.

“Peace cannot be built on avoidance or equivocation,” AGPI concluded. “It must begin with recognition of Israel, a commitment to its security, and participation by nations that have chosen normalization over rejectionism. We call on President Trump to ensure the Board of Peace reflects these non-negotiable foundations if it is to succeed.”

AGPI: Winds of Change Expose the Crumbling Architecture of Radical Islamism

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto — January 16, 2026: In a forceful perspective published today in the National Post, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) asserts that the Islamic Revolution is entering its final chapter. From Tehran to Gaza, the ideological and financial pillars of radical Islamism are collapsing under internal revolt, international designation, and growing global intolerance for extremism masquerading as politics or faith.

AGPI points to the unprecedented decision by the United Arab Emirates to publicly welcome U.S. designations of Muslim Brotherhood branches as terrorist organizations as a historic turning point. A Muslim-majority state openly condemning the Muslim Brotherhood signals a decisive regional rejection of radical Islamist ideology and affirms a broader war against extremism, hatred, and political violence. This comes amid an unmistakable backlash inside Iran itself, where citizens are rejecting the fundamentalist regime imposed by force in 1979.

At the same time, AGPI warns that the global response remains dangerously inconsistent. Despite overwhelming evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood serves as the ideological parent of Hamas, and despite Qatar’s long-documented financing of Hamas—funding that directly enabled the October 7 massacre in Israel—Qatar continues to enjoy protection and legitimacy on the world stage. AGPI calls this moral blindness, noting that the West cannot credibly fight extremism while shielding those who bankroll it.

AGPI further expresses concern that Canada is drifting into this contradiction, citing Prime Minister Mark Carney’s intent to deepen ties with Qatar despite its role in sustaining Islamist terror networks. “When democracies trade moral clarity for wealth, they erode the very values they claim to defend,” AGPI said.

Despite these failings, AGPI maintains that momentum is unmistakably shifting. The Muslim Brotherhood is being added to terror lists, Hamas is being dismantled, and Iran’s clerical regime is facing unprecedented internal resistance. “All evil eventually meets accountability,” AGPI concluded. “The world has grown weary of extremism. It is choosing peace, democracy, and freedom. The winds of change are no longer coming — they are already here.”

AGPI Responds to Announcement of Phase Two of the 20-Point Plan to End the Gaza Conflict

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto / Washington — January 14, 2026: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today responded to remarks by Steve Witkoff, announcing the launch of Phase Two of President Donald Trump’s 20-Point Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.

AGPI welcomes the announcement of Phase Two—which moves from ceasefire to demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction—provided Hamas immediately and fully disarms.

While this development may be welcomed by Palestinians seeking stability and reconstruction, AGPI accepts it with extreme caution and states Israel has a right to defend itself against hostile actors.

Phase Two proposes a transitional technocratic administration in Gaza and the full demilitarization of the territory. AGPI stresses that demilitarization is the central test of credibility. Without verifiable disarmament and the removal of terrorist control, no reconstruction or governance framework can succeed.

AGPI further underscores the U.S. demand for Hamas’s immediate return of the final deceased hostage. Any failure to comply must carry serious consequences to ensure accountability and deter future abuses.

“Peace cannot rest on promises alone,” AGPI stated. “Only decisive, verifiable demilitarization can open the door to a safer future for Palestinians and Israelis alike.”

AGPI CALLS INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION AS IRANIAN UPRISING REACHES HISTORIC MOMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON — January 12, 2026 - The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is calling for urgent, international intervention as mass protests across Iran escalate into the most consequential challenge to the Islamic Republic since 1979.

As outlined in the National Post front-page commentary by AGPI Founder, Chairman and CEO Avi Abraham Benlolo, “What happens next in Iran could change the face of the Middle East,” Iranians from all walks of life are openly rejecting a regime that has ruled through fear, repression, and violence for more than four decades. What began as protests against economic collapse has evolved into a nationwide demand for freedom, dignity, and democratic governance.

Despite lethal force, mass arrests, and sweeping internet blackouts, Iranians continue to demonstrate across all 31 provinces—signalling a historic rupture between the people and the theocratic regime.

AGPI’s Position

AGPI stands unequivocally with the people of Iran who are risking everything for freedom, democracy, and an end to tyranny. The regime’s use of live fire against civilians, suppression of communications, and systematic repression constitute grave violations of international law and demand a coordinated global response.

AGPI commends the European Parliament’s courageous decision to bar representatives of the Iranian regime from its premises, recognizing that legitimacy must not be extended to governments that massacre their own citizens. AGPI further calls on democratic nations to immediately expel Iranian diplomats while the regime continues its campaign of violence and terror sponsorship.

A Defining Opportunity for Peace

This moment represents more than a domestic uprising. AGPI views the collapse of the Iranian regime’s legitimacy as a profound opportunity to reshape the Middle East, dismantle the world’s leading state sponsor of terror, and remove destabilizing forces from the region. A post-theocratic Iran would fundamentally weaken terrorist organizations that have long operated under Tehran’s patronage, including Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. Failure to act now would embolden authoritarian regimes globally and further erode international norms designed to protect civilian populations.

Framework for International Engagement

The threat of military engagement against the regime itself in the face of a clear and imminent threat to civilian populations must remain in place.  AGPI urges democratic governments and multilateral institutions to act decisively by delivering humanitarian aid, protecting civilian communications, and ensuring independent documentation of human rights abuses; applying sustained diplomatic pressure; and imposing targeted sanctions against regime leaders and security forces responsible for repression.

Call to Action

“The courage of the Iranian people must not be met with indifference,” said Avi Abraham Benlolo. “If the world acts with clarity and resolve, it can help usher in freedom for Iranians and a safer, more stable Middle East.” AGPI urges Canada, the United States, Europe, and democratic allies to act now—before this historic opportunity is lost.

AGPI Front-Page National Post Article Warns: Iran’s Uprising Could Redefine Israel, America, and the Future of World Peace

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON — January 9, 2026 The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today highlighted a powerful front-page article published in today’s National Post by its Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Dr. Avi Abraham Benlolo, examining the escalating uprising in Iran and its profound implications for Israel, the United States, and global peace.

The article documents how, after nearly two consecutive weeks of nationwide protests and the killing of more than 30 civilians by regime forces, Iranians continue to pour into the streets with renewed determination. Despite bullets, tear gas, and mass repression, the protests show no sign of abating. Iranian journalist and activist Masih Alinejad writes that “people are still in the streets across Iran… Their resistance sends a clear message to the world: Iranians reject this child-killing terrorist regime.”

While previous protest movements — including the 2022–2023 “Women, Life, Freedom” uprising sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini — raised hopes of change, the article argues that this moment is fundamentally different. Executions in Iran reportedly doubled in 2025 to nearly 1,500, exposing what AGPI describes as a fragile and fearful regime nearing its end. Even as Iranians demand freedom, the regime continues to project threats outward, executing alleged “Israeli spies” and blaming Israel and the United States for its internal collapse.

The article situates today’s unrest in historical context, recalling that since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has transformed from a promising nation into the world’s leading state sponsor of terror, financing Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, while openly calling for Israel’s destruction. Israel’s recent 12-day war with Iran, Benlolo writes, further exposed the hollowness of the regime’s revolutionary ambitions, accelerating domestic anger and international isolation.

As Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vows “no leniency” and reportedly looks toward Moscow for refuge, the article asks the pivotal question: who will fill the vacuum if the regime falls? Benlolo points to voices such as Reza Pahlavi, who has publicly called for peace with Israel and the United States and described the current uprising as a historic opportunity to end tyranny.

“What happens next in Iran could change the face of the Middle East,” Benlolo writes. “If a future Iran chooses peace with Israel and America, humanity can finally turn its energies toward progress instead of perpetual war.”

AGPI says the article underscores a central truth: the Iranian people’s struggle is not only about their own freedom, but about the possibility of a more peaceful Middle East and a safer world.

AGPI Condemns Antisemitic Graffiti Attack on Winnipeg Synagogue, Cites Alarming Findings in 2026 State of Antisemitism Report

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON – January 4, 2026 — The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today strongly condemned the antisemitic vandalism of Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Winnipeg, where swastika graffiti was spray-painted on the synagogue’s front entrance and marble wall.

According to reports, surveillance footage captured a lone offender defacing the synagogue at approximately 4:30 a.m. The incident is currently under investigation by the Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit. While some of the graffiti has been removed, red paint seeped into the building’s marble façade, leaving lasting damage.

“This despicable act is not an isolated incident—it is part of a disturbing national pattern,” said AGPI in a statement. “A synagogue is a place of worship, peace, and community. To target it with swastikas—the most hateful symbol of Jewish persecution—is an attack not only on Jews, but on Canadian values themselves.”

AGPI noted that this incident aligns directly with the findings of its recently released State of Canadian Antisemitism 2026 report, which documents how antisemitism in Canada has shifted from sporadic acts to a structural and normalized threat, increasingly targeting Jewish institutions, schools, synagogues, and neighbourhoods across the country.

“Our report warned that antisemitism is no longer confined to online rhetoric or isolated vandalism,” the statement continued. “It is manifesting in real-world intimidation and attacks on Jewish life. Winnipeg is now part of that grim reality.”

AGPI commended members of Congregation Shaarey Zedek who chose to attend Sabbath services despite fear and shock, describing their presence as “a powerful act of resilience and moral courage.”

The organization called on all levels of government and law enforcement to treat antisemitic crimes with urgency, to ensure visible enforcement, and to send an unequivocal message that hate will not be tolerated in Canada.

“History teaches us that antisemitism must be confronted early and decisively,” AGPI concluded. “Silence and complacency only embolden those who seek to terrorize communities. We stand in solidarity with Winnipeg’s Jewish community and will continue to demand accountability and action.”

2026 A Pivotal Year for Canadian Jews

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto — January 2, 2026: In a front-page article published today in the National Post, Avi Abraham Benlolo, Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative, warns that 2026 will be a defining year for Canada and its Jewish community as antisemitism accelerates amid insufficient government action. Citing Statistics Canada data showing Jews accounted for 68.6 per cent of all religion-based hate crimes in 2024 despite comprising just 0.9 per cent of the population, the article underscores growing anger and frustration within the community and cautions that continued inaction threatens Canada’s social cohesion, security, and economic future.

In response to the Bondi massacre in Australia, AGPI has released The State of Canadian Antisemitism 2026, documenting how antisemitism has shifted from fringe extremism into a mainstream, embedded threat across campuses, unions, public institutions, online platforms, and civic life.

Drawing on police and government data, media reporting, digital monitoring, and community security partners, the report presents a stark national snapshot—particularly in Ontario and Québec—highlighting incidents ranging from arson and firebombings to threats against schools and synagogues, campus unrest, and intimidation marches. Recent arrests of ISIS-affiliated suspects allegedly targeting members of the Jewish community further demonstrate that the threat is real, domestic, and ongoing.

The article and report warn that if enforcement failures and political paralysis persist into 2026, Canada risks a gradual but accelerating departure of Jewish families, talent, and investment to safer jurisdictions—echoing patterns seen in parts of Europe and elsewhere. While acknowledging strong efforts by frontline police, AGPI stresses that inconsistent enforcement, weak consequences, and delayed legislation have eroded community confidence. Benlolo concludes with a clear call to action: move beyond symbolism toward firm, visible enforcement of existing laws and decisive measures to protect Jewish life—and, ultimately, the safety and freedom of all Canadians.

70% of Hate Crime Against Jews: AGPI Urgently Releases State of Canadian Antisemitism 2026 Report Following Bondi Beach Massacre: Warning that Canada is approaching its own “Bondi moment”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, Canada — December 29, 2025: The The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today announced the early and urgent release of its State of Canadian Antisemitism 2026 report in the wake of the Bondi Beach massacre, warning that Canada is on a dangerous and familiar trajectory.

The report was released at a press conference featuring AGPI’s Founder, Chairman and CEO, Dr. Avi Abraham Benlolo, alongside AGPI’s Director of Education, Dr. Neil Orlowsky.

AGPI said the decision to release the report ahead of schedule reflects the gravity of the current moment and the lessons of history. Again and again, the same question is asked: How could this happen? The answer, AGPI warns, is that it happens when society looks away — when synagogues are attacked, when mezuzahs are torn from doorways, when extremists march openly calling for death, and when normalized hate is allowed to escalate into violence.

“That is what happened in pre-Holocaust Europe. That is what happened in Bondi Beach,” AGPI said. “And that is why this report is being released now.”

Since October 7, 2023, antisemitic activity has surged across Canada. Synagogues have been torched, shots fired at Jewish schools, Jewish neighbourhoods threatened, and terrorist symbols openly displayed on Canadian streets.

Nationally, Statistics Canada reports that over the last two years, approximately 70% of all police-reported hate crimes based on religion targeted Jews, despite Jews comprising just 0.9% of Canada’s population.

“These are not isolated incidents,” AGPI stated. “They represent a national crisis.”

The State of Canadian Antisemitism 2026 report documents how antisemitism has shifted from fringe extremism to a mainstream threat embedded across campuses, unions, public institutions, online platforms, and civic life. Drawing on police and government data, media reporting, digital monitoring, and community security partners, the report provides a verified snapshot of 2025 and the risks Canada faces entering 2026. Recent arrests in Canada of ISIS-affiliated suspects allegedly targeting members of the Jewish community further underscore that the threat is real, domestic, and ongoing.

AGPI is calling for immediate action to treat extremism as a national security threat, end the normalization of terrorist ideology, strengthen protection for at-risk communities, and dismantle extremist networks operating in Canada.
