Brahm Siegel is a family law lawyer, mediator and arbitrator in Toronto. He is a partner and founding member of Nathens, Siegel LLP which specializes in family law and divorce and was called to the Bar in 1993, after having attended McGill University for a Bachelor of Arts and Queen’s University for his law degree.
Brahm is a frequent writer and speaker on family law topics throughout Ontario, the author of various family law chapters for the Law Society’s Licensing Process and the editor of Consolidated Ontario Family Law Statutes and Regulations, published annually by Thomson Reuters. Brahm has been involved as a volunteer and donor for various Toronto charities in the past, most notably, the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center where he was on the Board of Governors. He is most excited about co-chairing the Lawyers’ Division for the Abraham Global Peace Initiative and looks forward to using the platform to bring together interesting and provoking viewpoints to promote tolerance and understanding.
Leora Shemesh is recognized as one of the top criminal lawyers in Ontario. Leora Shemesh graduated Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000. Ms. Shemesh was the winner of the Gale Cup Mooting Competition and the winner of the Criminal Law – Stephen Leggett award.A powerhouse in her own right and strong advocate for social justice and defending the vulnerable, Ms. Shemesh has won awards, garnered media attention and contributed her spare time to promoting human rights and giving back to her profession and community. Ms. Shemesh has appeared at all levels of Court, and continues to maintain a busy practice focusing on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and defending her client’s constitutional rights. Ms. Shemesh was an educator with the Toronto Advocates Society and the Young lawyers’ Criminal Lawyers Association and has guest lectured at Osgoode Hall Law School. Ms. Shemesh often assists young criminal lawyers in Toronto with mentorship and guidance.
