FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Toronto, [September 10, 2024] – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) held its second annual board retreat this past week, marking a significant milestone in the organization's growth and reach. Attendance at this year’s retreat tripled compared to last year, with participation spanning all three levels of AGPI's board membership.
Under the theme "Standing Together with Friends and Allies," the retreat underscored AGPI's commitment to reinforcing the core Canadian values of freedom, democracy, and human rights. A diverse array of speakers—many of whom were prominent non-Jewish leaders—joined AGPI in its mission to take a strong stand against antisemitism and to advocate in support of Israel. Their presence and support were a reflection of Israel's alignment with the values that form the bedrock of Canadian society.
"We are proud to share that the messages delivered at this retreat were not only supportive but deeply resonant with AGPI’s values and mission," said Mark Teitelbaum, AGPI's President. "Our allies understand that the fight against antisemitism is a shared responsibility, and supporting Israel is about defending the fundamental principles that all Canadians cherish."
Opening the evening with poignant remarks, one of AGPI's founding directors, Bruce Etherington recalled how disappointed his father would have been today, having served in the Royal Canadian Artillery against the Nazis in World War II. "He would be horrified today to see the antisemitism that is rampant across our country".
Some more poignant thoughts from the speakers included:
Karen Stintz, CPC Candidate for Eglinton-Lawrence: "What we are seeing now on the streets is twenty years in the making. For me it was my awakening...When I hear what starts with the Jews doesn't end with the Jews, it absolutely does not. It ends with our humanity. And who we are as a people".
Don Stewart, MP St. Paul's: "The relationship between Canada and Israel is not just a diplomatic formality. Its a bond shared in democratic principles...mutual respect and a long standing commitment to peace and security in the region".
Idit Shamir, Israel's Consul General: "A strong Israel needs a strong diaspora and a strong diaspora, needs a strong Israel".
Raheel Raza, President, Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow: "Ironically, there are hardly any demonstrations in Muslim majority countries...because supporting Hamas would lead to supporting Jihadi violence in their own countries".
Kevin Vuong, MP Spadina-Fort York: "When we stand up for Israel, we are also standing up for Canada...the more Canadians hear about what is happening...the more they will continue to stand up and speak out".
Capping the evening, The Hon. Stockwell Day discussed his disbelief at the silence of the media following the brutal killing of the six Israeli hostages last week: "I thought this would take the lid off. Now you are going to hear in the media a real rising up and it was muted at best". It's this silence that prompted Mr. Day to produce a documentary about October 7th.
AGPI remains steadfast in its efforts to unite people from all backgrounds to defend democratic values and fight against hate in all its forms. The annual board retreat continues to serve as a crucial platform for fostering solidarity and shared purpose among allies and supporters.
In closing, Co-Chairs Frank Wilson and Jerry Werger encouraged the boards to continue this important dialogue by participating in the upcoming Defenders of Israel program on November 12th featuring Stephen Harper.

Hostage Crisis Update
This week, we reflect on the ongoing hostage crisis in Gaza. Current reports indicate that 64 captives remain in Hamas's control, including 57 Israelis. This includes civilians and military personnel, with 35 hostages having tragically lost their lives in Gaza. AGPI continues to demand their return.
Condemnation of Hostage Murders
AGPI condemns in the strongest terms the barbaric murder of six Israeli hostages by Hamas. The recovered bodies of Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Master Sergeant Ori Danino underscore the brutal nature of Hamas’s actions.
Mourning Fallen Israeli Officers
We mourn the loss of three courageous Israeli police officers—Chief Inspector Arik Ben Eliyahu, Command Sgt. Maj. Hadas Branch, and First Sgt. Roni Shakuri—who were killed in an attack at the Tarqumiyah Junction. Their deaths highlight the ongoing threats faced by those protecting Israel and its citizens.
Denunciation of Unwarranted Blame
AGPI supports Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer’s assertion that Hamas is responsible for the hostage crisis and the execution of six hostages, including American Hersh Goldberg-Polin. Dermer has emphasized that Hamas’s actions are to blame for the current situation.
AGPI denounces the ongoing blame and pressure placed on Israel for the hostage situation. Oct. 7 survivor Sabine Taasa, who lost her husband and 17-year-old son during the Hamas attack on Netiv Haasara, addressed the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child in Geneva. She urged, "I need you to stop blaming us," condemning the inhumane act of filming her son's murder and questioning, "Is that normal? Shooting a child of 17 six times in the head?"
Campus Chaos A Threat to the West
Our front-page column in today’s National Post highlights alarming trends on university campuses. Universities, meant to prepare the next generation for a better future, are instead witnessing Islamist groups empowering youth with falsehoods, undermining democratic principles. A Canary Mission report revealed that dozens of U of T faculty supported last spring’s anti-Israel encampment—a troubling development for those who value our country’s future and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
To critics who argue that rules against antisemitism and violence suppress free speech, consider this: In which corporate boardroom would such behavior be tolerated? The answer is none. Universities should adhere to the same norms of civility and respect as other sectors. Campus chaos, spilling into our streets with hate speech and public disturbances, is an abuse of free speech. Is “free speech for me, but not for thee” truly what is meant when defending these actions?
In our national column today, we implored educational institutions and corporations not to adopt the term “Anti-Palestinian Racism” (APR). At Toronto Metropolitan University, pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas students used APR as a shield to deflect criticism and silence opposition to their falsehoods. This term undermines our foundational values of free expression.
Global Antisemitism Trends
Jews now have separate buses in London? In a true testament to the rising tide of antisemitism globally, London transportation authorities introduced a new public bus service linking two areas with large Jewish populations as antisemitic incidents hit record levels. London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the fear felt by Jews, who have experienced abuse when changing buses, struck him deeply.
Closer to home, at the University of British Columbia, students displayed a banner reading “pigs off campus,” featuring a severed pig’s head—a symbol with deep-rooted antisemitic connotations. This extremism reflects the normalization of hatred in academic settings.
Call for Transparency on Nazi War Criminals
AGPI is calling on the Canadian government to release the names of 900 alleged Nazi war criminals who fled to Canada, many of whom were from the Ukrainian Waffen SS division. It is time for Canada to stop hiding the truth to protect the Ukrainian community.
Disappointment with Meta/Facebook
This week, AGPI expressed disappointment with Meta/Facebook for endorsing the genocidal rallying cry of the pro-Hamas movement, “from the river to the sea.” We call on the company to immediately reverse this hateful and antisemitic slogan.
UN Human Rights Office Statement
In an upside world, the UN human rights office condemned antisemitism and expressed "horror" over the summary executions of Israeli hostages by Hamas. This doublespeak is noted as its sister agency, UNRWA, has employed staff aiding and abetting the October 7th massacre. AGPI continues to bring attention to this hypocrisy through symposiums and reports.
For Defenders of Israel
In the face of these challenges, standing up against bullies means doubling down on celebrating Israel and uniting with our allies. We invite you to join us on November 12th as we honour Stephen Harper with the Defender of Israel Award, reinforcing our collective commitment to the safety and security of Israel.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend and a Shabbat Shalom!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AGPI Condemns this morning's horrific murder of 3 Israeli police officers and yesterday's finding of the bodies of 6 Israeli Hostages
[September 1, 2024] — The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) vehemently condemns the brutal terror attack that claimed the lives of three courageous Israeli police officers this morning at the Tarqumiyah Junction. Chief Inspector Arik Ben Eliyahu, Command Sgt. Maj. Hadas Branch, and First Sgt. Roni Shakuri lost their lives in an act of barbarism that underscores the ongoing threat faced by those who stand on the front lines to protect Israel and its citizens.
This tragedy is particularly heartbreaking as it marks the second devastating loss for the Shakuri family. First Sgt. Roni Shakuri was the father of First Sgt. Mor Shakuri, who heroically fell defending the Sderot police station during the heinous attacks on October 7th. Today, we stand in deep sorrow as this brave family is struck by grief once again.
Recently, AGPI visited Sderot and met with police leaders who defended the police station on October 7th. The organization continues to stand alongside them in support.
In addition to this senseless attack, AGPI also condemns in the strongest terms the barbaric murder of six Israeli hostages by the Hamas terrorist organization. The bodies of Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Master Sergeant Ori Danino were recovered yesterday.
These innocent individuals were taken hostage on October 7th and were murdered while in captivity in Gaza—a heinous crime that further exposes the true nature of Hamas.
This morning, AGPI was in touch with global leaders in law enforcement to share with them the tragic news about the murder of the three Israeli police officers. The organization accentuated that we are on the same team fighting against terrorism and working for the preservation of freedom and democracy.
In response to the murder of Israeli and an American hostage (Hersh Goldberg-Polin), U.S. President Joe Biden issued a statement from the White House, condemning the actions of Hamas. “It is as tragic as it is reprehensible. Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes. And we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages,” said President Biden. AGPI fully supports President Biden's commitment to holding Hamas accountable and securing the release of all hostages.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families of these victims. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA) have pledged to bring all remaining hostages home as swiftly as possible, using every means at their disposal.
AGPI works closely with police and law enforcement agencies through our specialized Police Academy, which educates officers about the Holocaust, racism, and intolerance. This partnership aims to strengthen the moral fabric of law enforcement and equip officers with the knowledge and tools to combat hatred in all its forms.
As part of our ongoing commitment to honour those who bravely stand against terror, AGPI will be paying tribute to a Muslim Bedouin Israeli police officer on November 12th for his heroic actions during the October 7th attacks. This courageous officer rescued nearly 300 young people from the Nova Party, exemplifying the unity and strength that transcend cultural and religious boundaries in the fight against extremism. Click HERE for information.
“The loss of these three heroic officers and the six innocent hostages is a tragic reminder of the relentless dangers faced by Israelis every day,” said Avi Abraham Benlolo, Founder and Chairman of AGPI. “We must honour their memory by continuing to support the brave men and women who defend our freedom and security, and by standing firm against the evil of terrorism.”
AGPI calls on the international community to unequivocally condemn these acts of terror and to take meaningful action against the perpetrators and their sponsors. As we mourn the loss of these valiant souls, we must also renew our dedication to the fight against terrorism and the pursuit of peace.

08/30/24: As we approach the final weekend of summer and celebrate Labour Day, we are pleased to present this condensed edition of The Friday Report, offering you essential updates on our advocacy efforts, the situation in Israel, and Jewish affairs.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our many supporters who have joined us in registering for the Defender of Israel event on November 12th, featuring Stephen Harper. In just a few days, the event is already 50% sold out.
For this evening, we are inviting allies from various faith communities to join us on November 12th to engage in critical discussions about the future of Canada and the threats to freedom and democracy. If you are a faith leader, we invite you to contact us to receive your invitation. Send us a message to office@agpi.ca
We remain vigilant in countering those who deny and defame Israel. In today’s National Post (see full article below), we condemned the United Nations for excluding the October 7th Hamas atrocities from an exhibit on terrorism:
“The UN’s erasure of Jewish life and its denial of the Jewish right to the land of Israel have permeated our universities and educational systems. It is a chilling reminder of how quickly an educated society can be turned into agents of hate, as happened under Hitler’s regime. Today, we see unions caught promoting antisemitism, and universities siding with Hamas against freedom and democracy.”
“Even pride parades have aligned with Hamas — the very group that would violently suppress them — leaving their Jewish allies questioning where their support has gone. Meanwhile, the media and political leaders turn a blind eye as Jewish communities, which have been historically generous and philanthropic, face blatant discrimination.”
Israel needs our unwavering support as it continues to defend itself. Just a few days ago, a significant strike against Hezbollah averted what could have been another catastrophe. Hezbollah was poised to launch hundreds of missiles against the Jewish State, but Israel's preemptive action prevented the attack.
AGPI stands firmly behind Israel’s right to self-defence against Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime. While you may receive our Friday Report on a weekly basis, please know that we are active daily in the media and in person, advocating for our future and safeguarding our history.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend and a Shabbat Shalom!
08/28/24: The world stood still when news broke of Farhan al-Qadi's miraculous rescue—a Muslim-Bedouin from Rahat, abducted by Hamas nearly 11 months ago on that horrific day. Farhan endured the unimaginable, held captive in the dark, starved in oppressive tunnels beneath Gaza, where 108 Israelis still suffer in the grip of that ruthless terrorist organization.
Farhan's rescue shows that Israel leaves no citizen behind.
In the aftermath of the October 7th massacre, AGPI was on the ground in Rahat, meticulously documenting the profound impact on the Bedouin community. In our documentary, The End of the Innocence, we bring to light many Bedouin stories of unimaginable loss and heartbreak. Among them, a Bedouin father cradling his baby after witnessing Hamas terrorists brutally murder his wife before his eyes.
Yet, amid the horror, there were beacons of hope—heroes who rose above fear to defend their fellow citizens. One such hero is Remo, a Bedouin-Israeli policeman who, with extraordinary courage, rescued nearly 300 young Israelis from the Nova Party. His actions embody the essence of righteousness and the unwavering spirit of unity, proving that on that fateful day, Israelis of all faiths stood together to defend the State of Israel. Israel, though a Jewish State, is a nation where minority groups are equal citizens, proudly bearing the Israeli identity.
On November 12th, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to thank Remo in person at AGPI’s Defenders of Israel evening in Toronto. I am equally proud to announce that my dear friend, the Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper, will deliver the keynote address as we bestow upon him AGPI’s Defender of Israel award—a recognition of his steadfast support for Israel in its most trying times.
If you stand with Israel and have yet to register, I urge you to join us for this momentous evening before it sells out. Let us come together to celebrate the resilience, beauty, and enduring spirit of Israel—a nation that deserves our unwavering defence. I look forward to seeing you on November 12th in Toronto!
The Jewish Nation Lives!
Sincerely yours,
Paul V. Godfrey, C.M. OOnt

Last week, a pro-Hamas group attempted to silence our pro-Israel voice by launching a campaign using a fabricated concept called "Anti-Palestinian Racism" (APR). Their goal was to have our article removed, despite it being balanced, fact-based, and entirely accurate.
In response, we have doubled down on our commitment to speak the truth. Today, we published another article in the National Post, exposing the APR strategy being deployed to stop free expression and suppress democracy.
We are pleased to share the full article with you (below) and encourage you to stand against those who wish to silence the truth about Israel by forwarding this email to as many family members and friends as possible.
In defiance, we have also translated the article to Arabic and posted it on our Arabic webpage found HERE.
No amount of intimidation—whether through media censorship, campus takeovers, or bomb threats against Jewish community institutions—will alter the undeniable truth of history: that Jews have every right to live in our homeland and that Jerusalem is our eternal capital.
Silence is not golden. Please share this message with your family and friends, and invite them to join the AGPI movement. Together, we stand united in defending our future and protecting our past.
Finally, standing up against bullies means doubling down on celebrating Israel and bringing together our allies.
We invite you to join us on November 12th as we confer the Defender of Israel Award on Stephen Harper.

H.E. Mr. António Guterres,
Secretary-General of the United Nations
CC: Mr. Vladimir Voronkov, Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism,
United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT)
CC: Ms. Ana Izar,
Head of the Victims of Terrorism Unit (UNCCT/UNOCT)
By Email: gerardl@un.org, United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism
Dear Mr. Guterres,
I am writing to you on behalf of the thousands of members of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a prominent Canadian human rights organization.
Following the massacre of 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023, the United Nations remained relatively silent about the atrocities committed that day. In fact, after much denial and distortion, it took six months for your organization to finally acknowledge that the rape of Jewish girls and women had indeed occurred.
Today, on this solemn day marking the “International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to Victims of Terrorism,” we were shocked and disgusted to learn that an exhibit in the lobby of the UN headquarters does not contain a single panel about the atrocities committed on October 7th by Hamas, a designated Palestinian terrorist group.
In an online video, Israel’s outgoing Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, pointed out that not a single panel of the exhibit refers to Palestinian terrorism against Israelis. “We are about to mark one year since the massacre and the largest terrorist attack against Jews and Israelis since the Holocaust. Yet the UN does not think it needs to be displayed on its walls.”
Moreover, a video titled “Memories,” featured on your website in honor of today’s observance, along with a press release and additional resources, makes no mention of the Israeli victims of terror on 10/7. Equally disturbing is that the online published agenda for today’s memorial does not mention the terrorism inflicted on Jewish innocents on that horrific day.
All this, Mr. Guterres, is nothing short of denial and distortion of the 10/7 terror attack, not dissimilar to those who have denied the Holocaust. Those behind the creation of this exhibit are themselves exhibiting the highest form of antisemitism and Jewish hatred possible.
We call on you to immediately update your exhibit or have it entirely removed from the lobby of the UN headquarters. Additionally, we expect you to issue a formal apology to the Jewish and Israeli victims of terror, and to those still being terrorized at this moment while held in captivity in Gaza by Hamas.
In the poignant words of Martin Luther King Jr., “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” If peace is to advance, we ask you to treat Israel and the Jewish people equally and respectfully among all nations.
Sincerely,
Avi Abraham Benlolo
Founding Chairman and CEO,
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative
Aug 16, 2024 The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is fraught with myths, one of the most persistent being the existence of a Palestinian state before Israel’s establishment in 1948. This narrative is historically inaccurate and serves to delegitimize Israel.
Understanding the true history is crucial, as the Palestinian narrative continues to be used as propaganda.
Before Israel declared independence in 1948, the region now known as Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip was part of the British Mandate for Palestine, which was established by the League of Nations after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in the First World War.
Under Ottoman rule, the area was divided into various administrative districts, with no distinct political entity known as “Palestine.” The concept of a Palestinian national identity emerged in the 20th century, largely in response to the Zionist movement and increased Jewish immigration in the area.
However, there was never a Palestinian state, flag or anthem. The notion of a pre-existing Palestinian state is a modern fabrication that ignores the region’s actual history.
The modern State of Israel’s legitimacy is rooted in international law and global recognition. On Nov. 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution 181, known as the “Partition Plan,” proposing two states — one Jewish and one Arab.
The Jewish community accepted the plan, demonstrating a willingness to compromise for peace. However, the Arab states rejected it, refusing to recognize any Jewish state, and instead launched a military assault on Israel following its declaration of independence on May 14, 1948.
Another pervasive myth is the “Nakba” or “catastrophe,” narrative, which claims that Palestinians were forcibly expelled by Israel in 1948. This version omits the critical context that it was the Arab nations that invaded Israel, causing many Arabs to be expelled or flee their homes.
Rather than absorbing the displaced population, the surrounding Arab countries kept them in refugee camps, using them as pawns to pressure Israel. Organizations like UNRWA perpetuated this situation, keeping Palestinians in limbo rather than encouraging their integration into their host countries. This contrasts sharply with how other refugee populations have been handled, where integration and resettlement are the norm.
The land referred to as “Palestine” has always been inherently Jewish. The Jewish people have maintained a continuous presence there for thousands of years, long before Islam or the Arab conquests.
Archeological artifacts — such as the ancient fortress of Masada, the Dead Sea Scrolls and ancient synagogues — provide irrefutable proof of this enduring presence. The historical Jewish connection to the land is undeniable and should not be overshadowed by modern political narratives. The Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem was built atop the Jewish Temple hundreds of years after Jews established Jerusalem.
Another myth is that the West Bank and Gaza have always been Palestinian territories, with Israel acting as an occupier. After the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, Transjordan annexed the West Bank and Egypt took control of Gaza.
During this period, there was no significant Palestinian independence movement or international push for an independent Palestinian state. The concept of a Palestinian state only gained traction after Israel’s victory in the 1967 Six-Day War, when Israel took control of these areas from Jordan and Egypt.
Israel’s capture of the West Bank in 1967 was a strategic necessity, not an act of expansionism. Surrounded by hostile neighbours, Israel sought to create a buffer zone to protect itself from future attacks. However, this victory also led to Israel gaining control over a large Palestinian population, which had previously been under Jordanian rule.
Breaking the myths that are deeply woven into the narrative surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is crucial. Recognizing the Jewish people’s right to live in Israel does not mean that the land cannot be shared. Indeed, Jews have a long history of seeking peace and coexistence. However, the Palestinian leadership has consistently rejected peace overtures, clinging to a false narrative aimed at Israel’s destruction.
The narrative that Israel is an occupier of lands rightfully belonging to a pre-existing Palestinian state is unsupported by historical facts. Before 1948, there was no Palestinian state. The Land of Israel has always been the ancestral home of the Jewish people, a fact supported by thousands of years of history. Attempts to erase this connection are not only disingenuous, they’re dangerous.
Israel’s existence is legitimate, its borders are recognized by international law and its actions in 1967 were driven by security needs, not territorial conquest. That’s why, in 2005, Israel handed over the Gaza Strip. Yet, rather than building a peaceful state, the Palestinians built a terrorist front to attack Israel.
As we confront today’s challenges, it is vital to shatter the myths distorting the region’s history and to stand firm in defending the truth.
National Post

Friday August 9, 2024: In today's National Post, we published a comprehensive essay (top read today) discussing the deepening crisis of leadership both at home and globally. We are in desperate need of leaders with the vision and resolve of Winston Churchill to guide us through these tumultuous times. A new axis of evil threatens the free world—who will stand against it?
This past week has been a stark reminder of the challenges we face. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has shown troubling support for pro-Hamas rhetoric; in the UK, a civil uprising is brewing, fueled by growing extremism; in Canada, our streets have been ignited by pro-Hamas riots, with politicians conspicuously absent; in Japan, the Mayor of Nagasaki refused to invite the Israeli Ambassador, effectively blaming a fellow democracy for the Hamas attacks; and UNRWA has terminated only 9 staff involved in the October 7th atrocities, despite evidence implicating hundreds. AGPI has been at the forefront, protesting these injustices both at home and abroad.
Leadership is often associated solely with political figures, but in truth, it encompasses corporate leaders, spiritual guides, and those in law enforcement and education. These individuals frequently wield more influence than even a prime minister in ensuring their communities uphold a strong moral compass.
This week, we had the privilege of meeting two individuals who embody this broader concept of leadership. One is a Catholic corporate leader who has independently sought to learn and understand the truth about Israel. The other is a provincial lawmaker who, despite the risks, courageously speaks out against extremism in our streets. Through their actions and convictions, these leaders contribute to the moral fortitude of our society, often in ways that extend far beyond the political sphere.
Fortunately, there are many upstanders among us. This fall, the Abraham Global Peace Initiative will honour former Prime Minister Stephen Harper for his steadfast support of Israel, as well as an Israeli-Muslim-Bedouin policeman who heroically saved 300 children during the Nova Music Festival on October 7th. If these principles resonate with you, we invite you to join us. Click HERE to learn more.

Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Toronto, [August 5, 2024] – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) stands resolutely with Israel as it faces imminent threats from Iran and Hezbollah. In this time of heightened tension, AGPI reaffirms its unwavering support for Israel's right to defend itself and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
As Israel braces for potential aggression, the city of Toronto grapples with escalating protests that echo a Jihadi-level intensity. Over the weekend, AGPI engaged with law enforcement and senior political leaders to address the chaos in Toronto's downtown core, emphasizing the need for peace and security within our own city.
AGPI further witnessed a pro-Hamas convoy on a local highway in which the drivers wore headscarves resembling ISIS.
AGPI expresses deep concern about a particular incident in which Toronto's Mayor Olivia Chow was reportedly attending Caribana, a festival celebrating the Caribbean community, as pro-Hamas rioters violently blocked a street in front of City Hall (see video). AGPI urges local leadership to prioritize the safety and security of all residents and to take a firm stand against any form of extremism and violence.
In another incident, pro-Hamas demonstrators were captured on video filming the faces of Toronto Police Officers, holding the camera about 20 inches away. In a note to police, AGPI expressed its solidarity with law enforcement and its concern for the undermining and erosion of our laws and police authority.
"We are very pleased by the responsiveness of both York Region Police and Toronto Police every time critical issues arise concerning the Jewish community" AGPI's Founder and Chairman, Avi Abraham Benlolo, stated.
In a front-page article in the National Post about the crimes of Ismail Haniyah and his influence on the diaspora Palestinian community, AGPI wrote: "Haniyah also worked closely with Iran's Ayatollah to unleash a wave of terror against Jewish communities worldwide. This week in Toronto, we experienced multiple incidents of hate graffiti, the torching of a bus, and a Jewish day school".
"Police report no evidence of a hate crime committed. But these incidents have elevated the community's anxiety. Additionally, the RCMP arrested two men imminently about to carry out a terror attack in Toronto. Such acts of terror, fueled by Haniyah and his Iranian allies, create an environment of fear and insecurity that extends far beyond the Middle East."
Benlolo stated, "Israel is under significant threat from hostile forces, and it is our duty to stand in solidarity with our Israeli brothers and sisters. We call on the international community to condemn these threats and support Israel in its rightful defence."
AGPI is committed to educating and informing the public about the complexities of the Middle East conflict, promoting peace, and countering misinformation. The organization continues to work tirelessly to advocate for Israel's security and to combat antisemitism globally.
The recent protests in Toronto are a stark reminder of the challenges we face in promoting peace and understanding. AGPI urges all communities to come together in a spirit of unity and reject any form of hate speech or violence.
To educate the public about these issues, AGPI produces articles, reports and videos. We invite you to visit AGPIUniversity to read/view our extensive content. Given extensive media bias, we invite you to share our press releases to help inform the public.

Haniyah Brutalized Israelis and Betrayed the Palestinian People
by Avi Abraham Benlolo - August 2, 2024
As I pen this article, the situation remains fluid and unpredictable, with Iran and Hezbollah threatening retaliation. By this time tomorrow, a major war may have erupted. Yet, the need to remove Hamas leader Ismail Haniyah to safeguard Israel and promote global peace has never been clearer.
Ismail Haniyah, the political leader of Hamas, embodied a relentless force of terror and extremism. Under his leadership, Hamas not only waged a brutal campaign against Israeli civilians but also betrayed the Palestinian people, using them as pawns in a broader ideological battle. Haniyah's rhetoric and actions consistently advocate for the destruction of Israel, fostering a culture of hatred and intolerance that fuels ongoing conflict.
On October 7th, Hamas launched a savage attack on Israel, resulting in the tragic loss of 1,200 innocent lives. Ismail Haniyah celebrated this heinous act, underscoring his commitment to violence and terror. Such inhumanity further cements the necessity of his removal. A leader who glorifies such atrocities poses an undeniable threat not only to Israel but to the entire region and global peace.
Haniyah's influence extended far beyond the borders of Qatar, where he resides. His alliances with other extremist groups and rogue states create a network of terrorism that destabilizes the entire region. By providing ideological and logistical support to terrorist operations, Haniyah contributed to a climate of fear and violence that threatens international security and undermines global efforts to combat terrorism.
Haniyah also worked closely with Iran's Ayatollah to unleash a wave of terror against Jewish communities worldwide. This week in Toronto, we experienced multiple incidents of hate graffiti, the torching of a bus, and a Jewish day school. Police report no evidence of a hate crime committed. But these incidents have elevated the community's anxiety. Additionally, the RCMP arrested two men imminently about to carry out a terror attack in Toronto. Such acts of terror, fueled by Haniyah and his Iranian allies, create an environment of fear and insecurity that extends far beyond the Middle East.
Hamas, recognized as a terrorist organization by numerous countries, including the United States, Canada, and the European Union, has shown an unwavering commitment to violent tactics and rejection of peaceful resolutions. The organization's governance in Gaza has been marked by corruption, repression, and the prioritization of militant activities over the welfare of its people. Haniyah's leadership epitomizes these destructive tendencies, making his removal a strategic necessity.
Ismail Haniyah reportedly embezzled some $5 billion from the very people he claimed to represent. These funds, which could have been used to improve Palestinian society by building schools, hospitals, roads, and other critical infrastructure, instead funded his lavish lifestyle in Qatar. This gross misallocation of resources highlights the hypocrisy and corruption at the heart of Hamas's leadership. Haniyah's exploitation of his people's suffering for personal gain is a travesty that further justifies the necessity of his removal.

I write to you this morning on behalf of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a prominent Canadian human rights organization with a global reach.
We are writing to express our profound disappointment regarding the decision by Mayor Suzuki Shiro of Nagasaki to not invite Israel’s Ambassador, Gilad Cohen, to the annual ceremony commemorating the US atomic bombing of the city.
Ambassador Yamanouchi, as you are undoubtedly aware, Article 51 of the UN Charter enshrines the inherent right of states to self-defence. This provision is the cornerstone of Israel's actions in response to the terrorist attack on October 7th. The exclusion of Israel’s representative from this solemn event sends an unfortunate message to the international community and undermines the longstanding friendly relations between Japan and Israel.
We also recall with deep respect the courageous actions of Chiune Sugihara, whose humanitarian efforts saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust. His legacy of compassion and justice should inspire us all to uphold the values of peace and mutual respect.
To bring attention to this matter, please note we will be posting this letter on our website at www.agpiworld.comAs an organization dedicated to the defense of peace and democracy, we earnestly urge your government to reconsider this regrettable decision. We look forward to your response and hope for a resolution that reaffirms our shared commitment to these ideals.
Sincerely,
Avi Abraham Benlolo
Founder and CEO, AGPI
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AGPI Denounces Recent Antisemitic Incidents in the Greater Toronto Area
"Two days of hell" is how The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is describing the past 48 hours in the Greater Toronto Area.
AGPI has been actively engaging with police leaders, city councillors, and the community regarding a series of alarming incidents: pro-Hamas graffiti in Thornhill, the torching of a children's school bus belonging to the Orthodox Bobov community, and the overnight fire at the exterior storage of the Leo Baeck Jewish Day School.
Although Toronto Police have stated that there is no evidence of a hate crime regarding the storage fire, indicating it was used by an individual, AGPI recognizes the community's heightened concern and anxiety over these violent antisemitic incidents.
From the front lines, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, has called on Mayor Olivia Chow to stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and urged all Torontonians to unite against hate.
"We ask everyone to speak out, condemn, and join the Jewish community in solidarity against these hateful acts," said Benlolo.
Echoing this call to action, Toronto City Councillor James Pasternak stated, "An attack on one faith community is an attack on all faith communities. We must have a unified voice in condemning hate in all its forms."
Given the heightened security concerns, we urge the community to remain vigilant, particularly around community institutions. AGPI continues to maintain close communication with police locally and across the country.

July 28, 2024: We are heartbroken by yesterday's heinous Iranian-backed Hezbollah rocket strike on Majdal Shams, an Israeli-Druze village in the north. As the peaceful residents of the village lay to rest the twelve innocent children who lost their lives, we mourn this devastating tragedy alongside them.
We unequivocally condemn this act of terror and stand in solidarity with Majdal Shams during this time of immense grief.
Prior to October 7th, we produced a feature documentary, "The Future of Israel and its Defenders,"showcasing Israel's remarkable progress toward coexistence with its Druze, Bedouin, and Arab populations. It is with deep respect that we share an extraordinary interview with Sheikh Tahir Abu Salah, the spiritual leader of Majdal Shams, highlighting these achievements.
In the interview, Sheikh Abu Salah reflects on the fifty-year harmonious relationship between Israel and Majdal Shams, emphasizing the familial bond they share. "We are for peace and against chaos on the border," he states. "A few years ago, we resisted Hezbollah on the other side of the fence because we wanted peace."
Our conversation also touched on reinforcing the Abraham Accords and fostering peace between Israel and its neighbours. Sheikh Abu Salah expressed his optimism, saying, "Now there is peace with Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and the Gulf States. We are very happy and want to see peace with Syria, Lebanon, and the rest of the nations in this area so that the area will be happy."
Tragically, despite the peaceful intentions of Majdal Shams and Israel, Hezbollah has struck at the heart of this community, demonstrating that all Israelis, regardless of their religious and ethnic backgrounds, are victims of terrorism perpetrated by Iranian proxies, including Hamas.
If you have not yet seen AGPI's film, "The Future of Israel and its Defenders," I encourage you to watch it and remember the Israel that existed before October 7th—an Israel filled with hope and optimism. The film showcases aspects of Israel often overlooked by the media, international courts, and our critics—portraying it as a true beacon of hope and democracy in the Middle East.
In the meantime, we are proud to share an excerpt from our interview with Sheikh Abu Salah, highlighting the exceptional relationship with Israel. Since the media often neglects to show Israel's positive side, we urge you to share this message widely with family and friends.
Sincerely,
Avi Abraham Benlolo
Netanyahu gives necessary history lesson for Congress
by Avi Abraham Benlolo
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to Congress this week was met with 26 standing ovations, showcasing his unparalleled ability to eloquently advocate for Israel and reinforce its indomitable bond with America. Despite his controversies, Netanyahu's capacity to inspire and mobilize support remains unmatched.
Approximately 40 members of Congress chose to boycott Netanyahu's address. Their absence spoke volumes about their alignment in the conflict with the Iranian-axis, rather than about Netanyahu or Israel. America's unwavering alliance with Israel, both staunch defenders of freedom and democracy, has endured for over 76 years.
Those who stood in support did so out of firm conviction and integrity, while those who remained silent or complicit in support of Hamas will be judged by history. The absent Congress members missed a critical opportunity to confront their biases, clouded by Palestinian-Hamas falsehoods or, worse, antisemitism. Netanyahu decisively confronted the denials, distortions, and complicity witnessed since the October 7th Hamas assault on Israel.
"Defeating our brutal enemies requires both courage and clarity. Clarity begins by knowing the difference between good and evil. Yet incredibly, many anti-Israel protesters choose to stand with evil. They stand with Hamas, rapists, and murderers. They stand with those who attacked kibbutzim and murdered entire families."
Netanyahu highlighted a stark truth we've been asserting for months: "When the tyrants of Tehran, who hang gays from cranes and murder women for not covering their hair, are praising and funding you, you have officially become Iran’s useful idiots." The propaganda is so deeply ingrained that even Iranian supporters of Israel cannot sway the "useful idiots."
Netanyahu's history lesson addressed the "malicious lies levelled for centuries at the Jewish people." These slanders, portraying Israel as racist and genocidal, aim to delegitimize the Jewish State and Jews worldwide, fueling the rise of antisemitism.
The truths that absent Congress members avoided are crucial. To them, antisemitism is "context dependent," and the declarations of biased international bodies supercede those of an ally combating terrorism. They buy into Hamas propaganda, ignoring Hamas's own admissions of using its population as human shields.
Netanyahu envisions a future where a new generation of Palestinians is taught to coexist peacefully with Israel. However, with Palestinian radicals emboldened by certain Congress members and university administrators, is peace truly attainable? Can Palestinians regain the trust of Israelis and the global Jewish community that once supported their independence efforts?
Healing this divide may take generations. The Abraham Accords brought new hope to the Middle East and should be reinvigorated. Netanyahu's proposal for an Abraham Alliance to bolster regional security against Iran could be transformative, providing a pathway for Palestinians to realize that their true enemy is radical Islam that seeks death and destruction rather than peace and prosperity alongside the Jewish State.
This article was published in the National Post on Friday July 26, 2024
Following a relentless nine-month barrage of missile and drone attacks, culminating in a direct hit on Tel Aviv this past Friday morning, where an Israeli civilian tragically lost their life and many others were injured, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) resolutely supports Israel’s right to defend itself against the Houthi-Iranian terror group based in Yemen.
Article 51 of the UN Charter explicitly provides for the right of countries to defend themselves if an armed attack occurs against them.
The Houthis, acting as an Iranian proxy, are a terrorist organization rooted in Yemen. Their explicit mission, prominently displayed on their own flag, is the annihilation of America, Israel, and the Jewish people. This declaration of intent underscores the existential threat they pose not only to Israel but to global peace and security.
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative is an esteemed international organization committed to the promotion of freedom, peace, and democracy. We advocate for a robust stance on security and strength to ensure the protection and prosperity of all people. Our unwavering support for Israel’s defensive measures is aligned with our mission to counter terrorism and uphold the principles of justice and human dignity.

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI)
Promoting freedom, peace, and democracy through strength and security.
July 19, 2024 – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a leading international human rights organization, vehemently condemns the recent ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) declaring Israel’s presence in East Jerusalem and the West Bank illegal and demanding its termination.
In recent months, both the ICJ and the International Criminal Court (ICC) have increasingly become instruments of political warfare against Israel. These courts, instead of acknowledging Israel’s critical security needs in these territories following the heinous attacks of October 7th, are actively working to embolden terror groups and their proxies that seek the destruction of the Jewish State.
The Jewish people are indigenous to these lands. They are not occupiers, as the court erroneously asserts. Jerusalem is the undivided and eternal capital of the Jewish people, and this status shall remain unchanged. The ICJ’s ruling, while non-binding, does not alter Israel’s steadfast position regarding its security interests and its legitimate rights.
AGPI calls upon the international community to recognize the inherent bias and politicization within these judicial bodies and to support Israel in its ongoing fight for security and justice. This ruling not only undermines Israel’s sovereignty but also jeopardizes peace efforts by validating the narratives of those who aim to destabilize the region.
AGPI remains committed to advocating for Israel’s right to self-defense and the protection of its people. We urge all peace-loving nations to stand with Israel against these unjust and politically motivated actions.
287 DAYS. NON NEGOTIABLE.
This Shabbat, over 120 hostages remain in Gaza. They were stolen by Hamas from their families on October 7th. We want them all back now. Its not up for debate or negotiation. They must not be held as pawns in a ceasefire deal with Hamas. BRING THEM HOME NOW.
AGPI: ANTI-ISRAEL LEFT NEEDS A DOSE OF TRUTH:
In today's National Post, AGPI said: "The Jewish community does not require a report from Human Rights Watch (HRW) to confirm the horrors of the October 7 massacre of 1,200 people, mostly Israeli civilians. HRW has been accused of levying unfounded accusations against Israel, such as the 2021 claims of “apartheid and persecution.” We all know that Israel does not practice apartheid and that the two million Muslims living in Israel are very much part of its society enjoying every right and freedom equally. Defending the truth is paramount in the battle to protect Israel and democracy. We must fight for it with vigour and relentlessness..."
AGPI TELLS ADIDAS 'NO EXCUSE':
In an appalling new advertising campaign, Adidas features Palestinian-American Bella Hadid modelling a sneaker first introduced at the 1972 Munich Olympics - where 11 Israelis were murdered by a Palestinian terror group. Hadid has been accused of Antisemitism and of calling for violence against Israelis and Jews. Adidas has since apologized and said it would revamp the campaign. But after its debacle with YE (Kanye West), we believe no excuse is good enough.
ARGENTINA REMEMBERS:
Two years ago, AGPI stood in Buenos Aires, alongside the Jewish community, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1992 bombing of the Israeli Embassy which killed 29 people and injured 242 civilians. This week, we stand with the Argentinian Jewish community in commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Iran-backed Hezbollah bombing of the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) in Buenos Aires. We honor the memory of the 85 Argentines – Jews and non-Jews – killed in the attack and recall the scores who were injured.
AN EXPLOSION OF ANTISEMITISM:
AGPI is speaking out against the wave of Antisemitism around the world which must be fought against vigorously. One study in France found that some 200,000 Jews living there or 38% of the Jewish population is considering emigration. 68% feel unsafe. In another study, The European Union's Agency for Fundamental Rights found that 90% of European Jews face Antisemitism. In Canada, 79% of British Colombians are concerned about attacks, gunfire and firebombs on synagogues, Jewish schools and businesses.
WHEN WILL THE SHAME AT THE UN EVER KICK IN?
Apparently, it makes little difference to the UN that its staff committed war crimes by participating in the October 7th massacre. The UN also neglects to acknowledge that its staff looked the other way as its UNRWA buildings were used as headquarters by Hamas. But this week, Secretary General Guterres denounced Israel and is calling on nations to refinance UNRWA - the same organization that has been complicit in these crimes. To this, AGPI continues to say, "Not on our watch. We will continue to fight and defend Israel against the UN's outrageous campaign to undermine Israel".
AGPI WELCOMES NEW MEMBER TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS:
Lewis Rose is Strategic Advisor, Board Director and former CEO having led the growth of both established and entrepreneurial businesses internationally and in multiple industries, including food, technology, and media. Recognized in 2020 as a Fellow by the Chartered Professional Accountants Council, Lewis is a past Member of the Academic Board of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto, past Mentor at the Creative Destruction Lab of the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, and is a Board Member of Maccabi Canada. Lewis actively promotes democracy, opposes antisemitism and advances human rights - in alignment with the core values of the AGPI commitment.
AGPI FRONT PAGE OF NATIONAL POST:
The U of T ruling is a slap in the face to the Jewish community. In a bold article in today's National Post, Avi Abraham Benlolo and Jerry Grafstein write: Despite being among its biggest supporters, the Jewish community often finds itself on the losing side when it comes to the University of Toronto. For two decades, we have fought against the university allowing Israeli Apartheid Week events to be held on campus, which has fostered generations of antisemites and normalized anti-Israel sentiment on campus, even among some faculty and administrators. The final straw, however, came this week, when Judge Markus Koehnen of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice dismissed the Jewish community’s concerns over antisemitism. Many interlocutors quickly applauded the injunction to dismantle the encampment, failing to understand the damage.
ABOUT: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is a prominent organization that promotes peace and democracy by vigorously defending Israel and democracies, countering antisemitism and terrorism, and inviting the global community to join The Abraham Accords to achieve these objectives.
July 17, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) acknowledges today’s report issued by Human Rights Watch (HRW) charging Hamas with crimes against humanity and war crimes over its October 7th, 2023 assault on Israel.
HRW's findings confirm early reports and video testimonies issued by AGPI immediately following the Hamas attack. HRW states, “Palestinian fighters committed killings, hostage-taking, and other war crimes, and the crimes against humanity of murder and wrongful imprisonment,” and calls for the immediate release of hostages.
“Human Rights Watch research found that the Hamas-led assault on October 7 was designed to kill civilians and take as many people as possible hostage,” said one of its lead researchers.
“Despite the fact AGPI rejects HRW’s defamatory accusations against Israel, especially those preceding October 7th (including those reiterated in this report), we believe HRW’s report is useful not for what it proves to us and the Jewish world, but for undermining the left-leaning lies and propaganda on university campuses, unions, the media, the United Nations, and beyond,” said AGPI’s Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
“HRW’s report cannot whitewash its false claims about Israel, which we will fight vigorously. However, we note that HRW’s findings about Hamas and Palestinian terror organizations have already been reported by Al Jazeera, the BBC, and Le Monde, and this is a positive step in combating the denials and distortions propagated including that these atrocities had not occurred” said Benlolo. “This is the reason we launched an Arab language content page on our website several months ago.”
“Across many attack sites, Palestinian fighters fired directly at civilians, often at close range, as they tried to flee, and at people driving through the area. The attackers hurled grenades, shot into shelters, and fired rocket-propelled grenades at homes. They set houses on fire, burning and choking people, and forcing out others whom they shot or captured. They took dozens hostage and summarily killed others,” said the HRW press release.
Over the past nine months, AGPI has stood with hostage families in Israel; it published a book (Never Surrender) about these denials and distortions; produced a video documentary with eye-witness testimonies (The End of the Innocence); launched a dedicated website (JForce.org) with supporting testimonies, videos, articles, and myths and facts; and launched AGPI University publishing dozens of articles about October 7th. We invite the media and the public to learn more by visiting these useful tools.

'U-WINDSOR CAVES TO THE ANTISEMITES':
In today's National Post, AGPI writes: "It’s all quite surreal, perhaps even dystopian. This week’s deal between the University of Windsor and the enigmatic Windsor Liberation Zone Team reads like the manifesto of an imagined society embroiled in a grand struggle against some great injustice. The university, apparently so cowed by the encampment, somehow capitulated to the demands of a small, rag-tag group of students whose sole purpose seems to be to demonize, defame and destabilize a follow democracy — the State of Israel. The university could have employed a multitude of measures to clear the encampment without succumbing to the terms set by radical students. It could have immediately dismantled the encampment, as York University did. In New York this week, a top law firm (Sullivan & Cromwell) announced it’s hiring policy will exclude anyone involved in anti-Israel campus protests. I would encourage all companies to adopt similar policies, lest they too fall victim to an encampment in their boardrooms. Preference should be given to hiring pro-Israel university students. They are courageous defenders of democracy and need our support and encouragement.

Dr. Robert Gordon
President and Vice Chancellor
University of Windsor
president@uwindsor.ca
CC: The Hon Jill Dunlop, Minister of Colleges and Universities
Jill.dunlop@pc.ola.org
Dear Dr. Gordon,
On behalf of the thousands of members of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a prominent Canadian NGO that promotes human rights, I write to express our profound shock and dismay regarding the University of Windsor’s agreement with the Windsor Liberation Zone Team.
The university had numerous alternative measures at its disposal to clear the encampment without capitulating to the demands of radical students. For instance, York University promptly dismantled a similar encampment. The University of Toronto secured a court injunction without agreeing to any terms, while the University of Waterloo launched a $1.5 million lawsuit against the organizers, resulting in the immediate removal of the encampment. Similarly, McGill University successfully convinced law enforcement to clear out the encampment.
Given Canada’s endorsement of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism, it is particularly alarming that the University of Windsor has agreed to boycott institutional partnerships with Israeli universities and has succumbed to the divestment campaign against Israel. The international community has likened such boycotts to those imposed on Jews in Nazi Germany.
While your agreement robustly advocates for Palestinian rights, it glaringly omits any support for Jewish students or measures to combat antisemitism. As you are aware, hate crime reports consistently identify the Jewish community as the most targeted group, especially in the wake of the October 7th Hamas assault on Israel.
This reckless behavior places many university students, particularly Jewish ones, in a perilous situation. They already feel threatened and victimized on campus. Moreover, news reports indicate that pro-encampment students are facing employment sanctions and cannot be protected by the university, in as much as you might promise such protections.
The University of Windsor must act responsibly and reconsider its agreement with the Liberation Zone group. Encampments across the country are being dismantled without university administrations compromising their moral and ethical principles. I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Avi Abraham Benlolo

ISRAEL IS WINNING BUT THE NORTH IS BURNING:
Even as this week, Israel has made tremendous gains in Gaza, dismantling much of Hamas, over 60,000 Israeli civilians who live in the northern part of the country cannot return to their homes. Hezbollah continues to pound the region with as many as 200 rockets a day, while the world is silent. AGPI continues to draw attention to this incredible human catastrophe that has gone relatively unreported in western media.
"ITS CLEAR TODAY THAT THERE IS NO FUTURE FOR JEWS IN FRANCE":
Last July, while filming in France, AGPI asked Paris' Grand Synagogue Rabbi Sebbag and other leaders if Jews had a future in France. At the time, Antisemitism and violence had quieted down. My how things have changed. This week, Rabbi Sebbag said it's very alarming what is happening in France given the current election. In an interview this week, he said, "its clear today that there is no future for Jews in France". All eyes are on the outcome on France's election. For the Jewish community, the left is far worse than the right, traditionally antisemitic now becoming more aligned with the Jewish community.
HOW DO WE FIGHT THE DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST ISRAEL?
Israel is fighting a multi-pronged war. Not only must it defend itself against terrorists, it must also combat a disinformation campaign internationally. Listen or watch the meeting held this week by the Abraham Global Peace Initiative that addresses this issue and more.
AGPI CONGRATULATES KEIR STARMER ON VICTORY:
Keir Starmer will be the next Prime Minister of the UK - winning over Rishi Sunak. Sunak has been a staunch supporter of Israel since October 7th. Upon becoming leader, Starmer prioritized fighting Antisemitism and has repeatedly condemned it within his party. Israel's President Herzog was among the first leaders to congratulate Starmer on his win. Starmer took over from Jeremy Corbyn, who has been anti-Israel and accused of Antisemitism. Starmer's wife, Victoria is Jewish.
"DISGUSTING" ANTISEMITISM - NEARLY 200 HEADSTONES TOPPLED:
In Cincinnati this week, in a cowardly act that preys on those without a voice, nearly 200 headstones were toppled and broken at a Jewish cemetery. A new wave of Antisemitism has been unleashed on Jewish people around the world. Read our recent report attributing these heinous attacks as being rooted in anti-Israel indoctrination and spurned on by the Hamas assault of October 7th. Meanwhile, in Toronto this week, The Pride of Israel and Kehillat Shaarei Torah synagogues were vandalized while in Vancouver a children's softball tournament was attacked by pro-Hamas protestors with vile language aimed at 7 year old children. In Canberra, pro-Hamas demonstrators unfurled banners over its parliament. These are just a few of the many instances of Antisemitism this week.

AGPI Welcomes Court Injunction, But Raises Deep Concern Over Dismissiveness of Antisemitism and Hateful Language
Toronto, July 2, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is deeply troubled by today’s court decision that may set a dangerous legal precedent regarding antisemitism and hate speech. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has ruled that the pro-Hamas encampment at the University of Toronto must be dismantled by tomorrow, July 3rd, at 6 p.m. However, the court's treatment of antisemitic rhetoric as presented by the Jewish community within this context has raised significant alarm.
AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, remarked:
“We implore everyone to read the “reasons for the judgement” before patting each other on the back (Section C). Today’s judgment appears to establish a dangerous legal precedent that may give free reign to hate language and antisemitism on university campuses and beyond. Given the fact that hate against Jews is statistically highest on record and of any group, we are concerned by the dismissive nature of today’s judgment on the matter of antisemitism.”
While the injunction is a victory for the University's property rights, the document citing the “reasons for the judgement” by The Hon. Judge Markus Koehnen appears to disregard serious allegations of antisemitism made by the Jewish community. In his ruling, Judge Koehnen stated:
"For purposes of this motion, I do not have to determine how these phrases and symbols are being used. I review this history and analysis merely to point out that the automatic conclusion that those phrases are antisemitic is not justified; especially not on an interlocutory injunction”.
The judge appeared to dismiss key antisemitic indicators, including a photograph depicting the "blood libel," the "inverted triangle" associated with Hamas, the phrases "Intifada" and "Free Palestine by any means necessary," and the globally recognized slogan "from the river to the sea," often used by pro-Palestinian activists (which has been condemned globally as a call for genocide of the Jewish people).
By challenging the widely accepted definition of antisemitism as established by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), Judge Koehnen's decision appears to introduce uncertainty. He asserts that "part of the controversy arises out of the absence of an agreed definition of antisemitism" and notes discord within Jewish communities over the IHRA definition. In fact, the dissenting opinions are by a radical anti-Zionist fringe not associated with the established Jewish community consensus.
AGPI calls for a thorough reassessment of the dismissive tone of the Jewish community’s claim of antisemitism and urges the community to remain vigilant against the proliferation of hate speech and antisemitism. The organization will continue its steadfast advocacy for justice and the protection of Jewish communities worldwide.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AGPI Outraged as Another Synagogue in Toronto Falls Victim to Vandalism
Toronto, June 30, 2024 – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a leading Canadian human rights organization, is expressing profound outrage following the desecration of one of Toronto's iconic synagogues, The Pride of Israel. This appalling act of hate marks another dark day for the Jewish community in Toronto.
In an urgent call for action, AGPI has contacted senior officials at the Toronto Police Department and Ontario's Solicitor General, Michael Kerzner (Mr. Kerzner denounced this heinous crime at the scene). Authorities believe the same perpetrator is also responsible for the recent vandalism of Kehillat Shaarei Torah Synagogue, highlighting a disturbing pattern of targeted antisemitic attacks.
"Just this past Friday, we published a report revealing a staggering 55% surge in hate crimes in Toronto, with antisemitism accounting for 45% of all reported incidents – the highest of any category," said AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo. "This alarming rise in antisemitic violence cannot be ignored or tolerated."
AGPI's report underscores the global surge in antisemitism, attributing it in part to the so-called “al Aqsa flood” – the brutal assault on October 7th that left 1,200 Israelis dead and 254 taken hostage. This atrocity has emboldened Hamas’ followers to unleash widespread antisemitic campaigns aimed at undermining the Jewish state and intimidating Jewish communities.
AGPI is actively engaging with law enforcement and political leaders, urging them to move beyond mere denunciations and take immediate, concrete social action. This includes strengthening hate crime laws and their enforcement, eradicating antisemitism from university campuses and boards of education, and ensuring that media outlets do not perpetuate distorted facts.

TRUMP BLAMES BIDEN FOR HAMAS WAR ON ISRAEL:
Sharp exchanges took place between Presidents Biden and Trump at last night's debate. Among them, Trump placed the October 7th Hamas attack squarely on Biden and blamed him for holding Israel back from defending itself against Hamas. Most notably, Trump put the blame for Hamas and Hezbollah squarely on Iran, which recovered from sanctions under the Trump administration.
FRIENDS OF HAMAS UNLEASHING ANTISEMITISM:
In today's National Post, AGPI writes that "the problem in the West is that we operate from a position of naivety. Our western vantage point, rooted in ideals of truth and justice, struggles to rationalize this phenomenon. We cite facts, such as Hamas terrorists being steeped in hate, committing heinous acts of rape and mutilation, and espousing anti-gay and anti-rights ideologies. While all these are true, none of these arguments seem to sway the minds of antisemites. Hamas and its supporters have been preparing for this day for two decades. Four generations of university students and faculty have been misled to believe that Israel is an apartheid state, ignoring the gender and religious apartheid prevalent in every country surrounding Israel. They have been falsely told that Jews are colonizers of their own land, overlooking the historic success story of a religious group reclaiming its homeland".
AGPI RAISES ALARM OVER SKYROCKETING ANTISEMITISM:
AGPI is calling for immediate global action against Antisemitism. In Toronto, hate crime is up 55 per cent - 221 hate crimes so far in 2024, 45 per cent were antisemitic. In Germany, there has been an 80% increase in antisemitic incidents; In the U.S. the ADL reports a 140% increase while France reports a 300% rise in antisemitism over the previous year. The UK reported a 45% increase in antisemitism, but those numbers are expected to increase in 2024.
ISRAEL ON PATH TO WAR AGAINST HEZBOLLAH:
AGPI is calling on the international community to immediately find a diplomatic solution to Hezbollah's incessant rocket attacks on Israel since October 7th. This week, Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets at Israel's north, making the entire region uninhabitable. We continue to express serious concern about these rising tensions.
WILL WAR WITH HEZBOLLAH BREAK OUT? - LIVE BROADCAST THIS WEEK:
Attention AGPI Supporters: A situational briefing (by zoom) is scheduled for Thursday, July 4th at 12 noon EST with IDF spokesperson, David Ross and Ronen Gilor, Ambassador and Special Advisor for Canada. Both will be speaking from Israel.
UK CHALLENGES ICC JURISDICTION:
This week, AGPI commended the UK for challenging ICC jurisdiction over Israel, therefore delaying arrest warrant decision over Netanyahu and Gallant. The ICC has no jurisdiction over Israel or its nationals and should not be operating independently over the Rome Statute.
SPOTLIGHT: GERMANY REQUIRES CITIZENS ACCEPT ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO EXIST:
AGPI Applauded Germany this week for requiring its citizens accept Israel’s right to exist in order to receive a new passport. It's part of a new values test for all new immigrants. Given the rising rate of Antisemitism, it makes perfect sense. The new citizenship reform excludes anyone found to have committed antisemitic, racist or other inhumane acts. Those who reject equal rights for men and women or live in polygamous marriages are also not eligible for a German passport. Newly naturalized Germans are also required to commit to protecting Jewish life in the country. The list of questions in the naturalization test is expected to be adapted accordingly.
AGPI continues to encourage all western nations to adopt a values test that includes respect for women's rights and democracy.
AGPI BOARD MEMBER DENOUNCES "ANTI-PALESTINIAN RACISM":
In today's National Post, AGPI National Board member, Raheel Raza asks: "Hamas is listed as a terrorist organization in Canada. Hamas is also Palestinian. So if a concerned Canadian says that Palestinians who belong to Hamas are a threat, will she be accused of being racist, according to APR?...APR is also highly likely to be misused, in order to enable antisemitic rhetoric and narratives. It could provide cover for spreading anti-Jewish prejudices by framing them as opposition to alleged “racism” against Palestinians."

Abraham Global Peace Initiative Confronts Key Issues This Week
Toronto, ON June 25, 2024 – This week, the Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) has actively engaged with a number of various government officials and institutional leaders to confront critical issues concerning antisemitism, human rights, and institutional neutrality. AGPI remains steadfast in our commitment to counter growing threats to the Jewish community as we confront critical issues through direct action.
The Hon. MP Arif Virani, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada
AGPI has expressed grave concerns regarding the appointment of Mr. Birju Dattani as Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC). In our letter to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, AGPI highlighted disturbing allegations that Mr. Dattani’s social media posts equate Israelis with Nazis and Palestinians with Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto. Such comparisons severely undermine the principles of human rights and the fight against antisemitism. We have called for a thorough review of Mr. Dattani’s appointment and appropriate action if these allegations are substantiated.
The Hon. MPP Todd Smith’s Office
Following AGPI’s meeting with Ontario’s Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, Michael Ford, AGPI reached out to MPP Todd Smith, Ontario Minister of Education, to express concerns regarding the TDSB Combating Hate and Racism strategy. We noted significant deficiencies in addressing the sharp rise in antisemitic incidents, the introduction of the concept of anti-Palestinian racism without sufficient supporting data, and the failure to recognize anti-Israeli racism. This omission suggests a discriminatory double standard against Jewish and Israeli students and staff. We urged the Minister of Education to intervene, as the TDSB’s actions appear to contradict the IHRA definition of antisemitism and raise serious questions about their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, potentially violating the Human Rights Code.
Queen’s University President Patrick Deane
Dr. Orlowsky, AGPI’s Director of Education, wrote to Queen’s University President Dr. Patrick Deane to express displeasure over faculty members wearing keffiyehs during last week’s convocation ceremony. Such actions caused discomfort and concern among students, families, and the broader community, undermining the inclusive and respectful environment expected at formal university events. We have requested a public apology from Queen’s University to those affected and a thorough investigation into the incident to ensure the university maintains a neutral and respectful educational environment during formal events.
OPSEU Local 532 President Julius Arscott
AGPI raised concerns about OPSEU Local 532’s alleged allocation of $500 to the Labour4Palestine movement. In our letter to President Arscott, we questioned the appropriateness and transparency of using union dues for political donations unrelated to the direct interests and well-being of its members. We urge OPSEU Local 532 to reconsider this decision, prioritize issues directly impacting their members, and ensure transparency and accountability in future activities.
Administration at Central Toronto Academy
The AGPI Education Team is investigating allegations of antisemitism at Central Toronto Academy and continues to work with students, staff, and the community to better understand the allegations and the board’s response.
About The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI): The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is dedicated to promoting peace, security, and human rights worldwide. Through research, advocacy, and public engagement, AGPI aims to foster a more just and peaceful world.
A SHABBAT SHALOM AMONG FRIENDS:
This afternoon, AGPI held a lunch round-table discussion with Dr. Reverend David Wells, General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Joining the conversation (L-R) were Aaron Waxman, Avi Abraham Benlolo, Jeff Moness and Dr. Ari Eisen.
PMO SPOKESPERSON BRIEFING ON SITUATION IN ISRAEL:
WATCH NOW: This week, AGPI hosted a special national meeting about the situation in Israel with Tal Heinrich, a well regarded spokesperson in the Israeli prime minister's office. The video recording of the briefing is now available in our video learning centre.
AGPI WELCOMES IRGC DESIGNATION:
Given the state of the world, we say its better late than never. There could hardly be a clearer case for listing the IRGC, and by extension Iran, as a terrorist organization. In today's National Post, AGPI said: After years of delay, Canada is finally demonstrating resolve in both domestic and international affairs, especially given recent revelations of an estimated 700 operatives linked to the Iranian regime on Canadian soil. This designation, effective immediately, criminalizes the IRGC’s subversive activities, including espionage, disruption, money laundering, and standing by for instructions to commit acts of terrorism. It is now a criminal offence to take part in IRGC activities, and the list helps law enforcement in prosecuting terror-related crimes.
ISRAEL IN OUR HEARTS:
Israel is under attack in the South by Hamas and in the North by Hezbollah. Since the start of the war, over 19,000 rockets have been fired on Israel from Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen and of course, Iran. Since the start of the war, over 300 IDF soldiers have been killed in action. Additionally, 120 Israeli hostages remain in captivity. Over 1,200 families mourn the loss of their loved ones who were murdered on October 7th 2023. AGPI will continue standing relentlessly with Israel and calls on G7 leaders in the international community to help defeat terrorism and tyranny and preserve freedom and democracy. To learn more about why you should stand with Israel, visit AGPI University HERE.
AGPI RAISES SCHOOL BOARD FIASCO WITH TOP MINISTER:
In a meeting this week with Ontario's Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, the Hon. Michael Ford, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo and Education Director, Dr. Neil Orlowsky, raised concern about so-called "Anti-Palestinian Racism" as it relates to Ontario's Anti-Racism Strategy. The new term potentially targets Jewish students who proudly identify with Zionism.

AGPI PRESSES ON WITH EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMING IN LOCAL SCHOOLS:
The education team at AGPI would like to thank the incredible students and staff of Crosby Public School in the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) for warmly welcoming us to the community and for hosting the launch of our Power of One Human Rights Exhibit. The students and staff showed an amazing commitment to human rights education and are truly an inspiration. We also deeply appreciate the support of the YRDSB for being such a supportive partner and ally, consistently championing the values we strive to promote. Contact norlowsky@agpi.ca for info.
AGPI ON THE GROUND IN ISRAEL:
In preparation for the Eid Muslim holiday, AGPI traveled to support and be with the Abu Latif family whose son Ahmed was killed in Gaza while fighting. The Chief of the Rehat city police gave the family a shield of recognition and together we wished the family a happy holiday. AGPI visits soldiers in hospitals; hostage families and families who have lost soldiers fighting in Gaza. To support our work in Israel, please donate HERE.
AGPI DENOUNCES MONTREAL SHOOTING:
AGPI strongly denounces the shooting at a Jewish business in Montreal and calls on authorities to immediately find and apprehend the shooter. A Jewish-owned falafel business was shot at in broad daylight. Few other countries around the world have had so-many shooting incidents at synagogues, schools and businesses. Sadly, our political leaders have been too silent and very little action is being undertaken. Is this the Canada we want to leave our children?
HAMAS: PALESTINIAN DEATHS 'NECESSARY SACRIFICES':
On the front page of today's National Post, AGPI said: "if any lessons are to be gleaned from the Holocaust, it is that the world looked away as six million Jews were led into the gas chambers. Once more, the world seems prepared to acquiesce to evil by trying to force the Jewish State of Israel into a ceasefire with Yahya Sinwar — arguably the most malevolent leader since Adolf Hitler — who readies to sacrifice even his own people in pursuit of murdering as many Jews as possible....By pressuring Israel, the West fails to recognize this conflict as a religious struggle rather than one motivated by politics. Sinwar compares the Gaza war to the Battle of Karbala, a 7th-century engagement in which the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad..."
Toronto, ON, [June 20, 2024] -- The Abraham Global Peace Initiative expresses profound concern over the Toronto District School Board's (TDSB) adoption of the Combating Hate and Racism Strategy by a vote of 15-7.
The strategy has omitted critical measures to address antisemitism while introducing ambiguities that will exacerbate concerns in the Jewish community and tensions within Toronto's diverse populace.
Purportedly aimed at fostering inclusivity and combating discrimination, the strategy shockingly includes a reference to "anti-Palestinian racism" (APR) without providing any clear definition or framework. This lack of clarity leaves the term open to interpretation, potentially targeting Jewish students who proudly identify with Zionism.
In a meeting yesterday with Ontario's Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, the Hon. Michael Ford, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, and Education Director, Dr. Neil Orlowsky, raised concerns about APR as it relates to Ontario's Anti-Racism Strategy.
APR's inclusion not only lacks clarity but risks marginalizing Jewish and Israeli-Canadian students, educators, and staff within TDSB schools. The TDSB's failure to define APR, which they admitted they cannot do, stands in stark contrast to its adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's definition of antisemitism, which has been endorsed provincially and nationally.
"Antisemitism remains the most reported hate-motivated crime within the TDSB, across Ontario, and throughout Canada, according to data from TDSB, Toronto Police Services, and Statistics Canada," said Dr. Neil Orlowsky, Director of Education for the Abraham Global Peace Initiative. "Despite this, the TDSB has inexplicably neglected to integrate the IHRA definition into its equity policies meaningfully."
AGPI questions the rationale behind introducing "anti-Palestinian racism" without a clear definition, asserting that such ambiguity undermines efforts to create a genuinely inclusive environment for all minority groups. Notably, Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism are already included in TDSB's anti-racism protocols, prompting concerns over why a separate and undefined category like APR was deemed necessary.
AGPI applauds Trustee Pei for raising legitimate concerns about the report's deficiencies and requesting clarification, which TDSB staff never adequately addressed. While the claim was made that APR was added to the strategy after listening to the concerns of hundreds of deputations, AGPI further commends Trustee Shelley Laskin and Trustee Lulka Rotman, who motioned to recognize anti-Israeli racism within the strategy for the same reason.
Unfortunately, noting hypocrisy by the board and trustees, their amendment was defeated, underscoring the board's apparent reluctance to address all forms of discrimination equally. Director of Education Colleen Russel-Rawlins admitted during discussions that defining APR was not feasible. Yet, the board adopted the strategy, highlighting a disturbing lack of clarity and foresight in their decision-making process.
"It is deeply troubling that TDSB adopted a strategy without a clear understanding or consensus on what APR entails," added Dr. Orlowsky, “especially following one trustee’s admission that they did not fully understand what APR was, yet still voted in favor of adopting the report. Without a defined framework, the application of 'anti-Palestinian racism' is open to interpretation and abuse, further complicating efforts to combat discrimination effectively."
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative urges the TDSB to revisit its strategy, ensuring that definitions and policies are clear, inclusive, and reflective of the diverse communities it serves. As a beacon of education and equity, the TDSB is responsible for upholding the rights and safety of all students, irrespective of their background or beliefs.
AGPI Welcomes Canada's Designation of IRGC as a Terrorist Entity
Toronto - June 19, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) commends the Canadian Government for announcing today the designation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
In a press release, the Government of Canada stated: "Based on their actions, there are reasonable grounds to believe that the IRGC has knowingly carried out, attempted to carry out, participated in, or facilitated terrorist activity, or has knowingly acted on behalf of, at the direction of, or in association with an entity that has knowingly carried out terrorist activity. Listing the IRGC means that they are a terrorist group."
AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, expressed: "While this designation took far too long given the level of state-sponsored terrorism perpetuated by Iran, it is good to see the IRGC criminalized in this country, especially given its assistance to other designated terrorist entities, including Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad."
AGPI concurs with the statement made by Minister of Public Safety, Democratic Institutions and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dominic LeBlanc: "Listing the IRGC builds on the Government of Canada’s broader efforts to ensure that there is no impunity for Iran’s unlawful actions and its support of terrorism. Our government will always promote human rights and take action against those seeking to disrupt our way of life, here in Canada and around the world.”
Since 2021, AGPI has produced anti-terrorism reports and published articles about Iran's terrorist activity in the Middle East and around the world. Additionally, the organization has encouraged the Liberal Government to add the IRGC to the nation's terror list. The IRGC has been implicated in the bombing of the Israeli embassy and Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, alongside many other terror activities around the world. Recently, Iran launched 300 missiles and drones at Israel in an attempt to murder as many civilians as possible.

Toronto, June 19, 2024 – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses deep concern over the Toronto District School Board's (TDSB) recent decision to receive a Combating Hate and Racism Strategy, which explicitly identifies Anti-Palestinian Racism (APR) as a distinct form of racism, separate from Islamophobia and Anti-Muslim Hate, a newly labelled form of racism that is currently not recognized by the TDSB or the Ontario Ministry of Education. This strategy raises several concerns for our Jewish students amid a significant rise in antisemitism within the TDSB, the city of Toronto, and across Canada.
In a meeting this morning with Ontario's Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, the Hon. Michael Ford, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo and Education Director, Dr. Neil Orlowsky, raised concern about APR as it relates to Ontario's Anti-Racism Strategy.
AGPI acknowledges the importance of addressing all forms of hate and racism. However, the decision to include APR as a distinct category, without a thorough definition and broader community consultation, is troubling. This move overlooks the urgency of addressing antisemitism, which remains the most reported hate crime in the TDSB, overshadowing all other forms of discrimination being investigated within the board.
"It is concerning that antisemitism, the single largest reported hate in our schools and community, seems to be overshadowed by the introduction of APR," stated Dr. Neil Orlowsky, Director of Education with AGPI. "Since October 7, 2023, we've seen a disturbing increase in antisemitic incidents in our schools, from swastikas drawn in washrooms and classrooms, to the harassment and intimidation of Jewish students and staff within schools, to student-led, pro-Hamas walkouts that explicitly call for the destruction of the State of Israel. Educational policies must not inadvertently contribute to further division or discrimination, and yet this one does."
Given the nature of the vote, AGPI questions whether the board was premature in receiving the document given the community's concerns, especially since the committee went on to instruct the TDSB to send a letter to the Minister of Education seeking guidance on how to approach geopolitics in schools. The need for such a letter underscores the complexities and potential divisiveness of the adopted strategy and raises questions about whether there is a larger agenda at play.
AGPI urges the TDSB to reconsider its approach. "Policies impacting a diverse student body must be grounded in comprehensive consultation, factual accuracy, and a commitment to combating all forms of discrimination, not perpetuating or pitting one group against another," said Dr. Orlowsky. Ensuring that school policies are inclusive and respectful of all community voices is essential to authentically uphold the TDSB's commitment to promoting understanding and respect among all students.

AGPI SCREENING IN HUNGARY ATTACKED BY ANTI-ISRAEL PROTESTORS:
Protestors showed up in Budapest for the screening of AGPI's The End of the Innocence, a documentary about October 7th, where the organization's CEO was about to speak. The protestors were quickly removed by the organizers and by local police. AGPI thanks the following partners in this successful event: Action and Protection Foundation; National Federation of the Hungarian Israeli Friendship Societies and the Consulate General of Hungary in Toronto. Read about our experience in Hungary HERE.
ISRAEL UNDER ATTACK - THE WORLD STAYS SILENT
This week, Hezbollah, a terrorist organization based in Lebanon, fired over 300 rockets and explosive-laden drones into Israel, displacing over 80,000 Israeli civilians and engulfing the area in flames. Hezbollah is estimated to have over 130,000 rockets pointing at Israel. Still, the media and western leaders have remained silent, while a war with Hezbollah has begun. AGPI continues to call on Israel's allies to help diffuse the escalating violence in the North by warning Hezbollah of consequences should it continue to attack Israel.
AGPI RESPONDS TO ANTISEMITIC TURMOIL IN EDUCATION:
This week, AGPI Addressed recent Antisemitic incidents and concerns in educational institutions. The organization has investigated and taken action on several troubling incidents affecting Jewish students and the broader educational community this week. In one incident, a Jewish student was subjected to antisemitic taunts and harassment during school events, including an "Arts & Culture" event where Israel was mislabeled as Palestine. Read the full press release of instances HERE.
AGPI CONDEMNS ANTISEMITIC VANDALISM ON HOMES OF JEWISH MUSEUM LEADERS:
What is the City of New York doing to protect Jewish communities? This is the number one question being asked after red paint was splattered board members homes of the Brooklyn Museum, including its Director, Anne Pasternak. Antisemitic attacks by Pro-Hamas activists is surging against Jewish communities in New York and elsewhere. AGPI is encouraging NYC police and the FBI to step up arrests and protect the Jewish community. Also this week, pro-Hamas activists on a NYC subway shouted "Raise your hand if you're a Zionist... this is your chance to get out...." The leader of the chant concluded, "OK, no Zionists, we're good."
AGPI RECOGNIZES THE URGENCY OF STANDING UP AGAINST ANTISEMITISM:
Last Saturday, AGPI placed a full page ad in the National Post to thank its sponsors of the Crystal Ball Benefit and its feature guest, Noa Tishby and the organization's leadership for standing up for Israel and against Antisemitism. The evening was a deeply moving tribute to the 1,200 victims of the October 7th massacre, the 125 hostages still held by Hamas, and the nearly 300 IDF soldiers who have fallen in defence of Israel. In conversation, Tishby reflected that a pattern of adversity has been a constant throughout Jewish history. From periods of quiet acceptance to times of vilification, attack, and murder, antisemitism has evolved and manifested in various forms. Read more about Tishby's insight at the event HERE.
THIS WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT ON DR. PHIL:
This week, AGPI recognizes and thanks Dr. Phil for visiting Israel and the site of the Hamas atrocities. He wrote on "X" - "I recently visited the site of the Nova music festival on my trip to Israel...and walking amongst the images of the people that were killed or taken hostage...it was absolutely overwhelming". Thank you Dr. Phil for helping expose the truth.
June 13, 2024 – Toronto, ON: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a globally recognized Canadian-based human rights organization, has investigated and taken action on several troubling incidents affecting Jewish students and the broader educational community this week.
1. Burlington Central High School Antisemitism Concerns: Recent events at Burlington Central High School have raised significant concerns about systemic antisemitism and the safety of Jewish students. A Jewish student was subjected to antisemitic taunts and harassment during school events, including an "Arts & Culture" event where Israel was mislabeled as Palestine. AGPI has reached out to the Halton District School Board to address these serious allegations and ensure the safety of all students.
2. Anti-Palestinian Racism in Toronto District School Board: AGPI has expressed concerns to the Toronto District School Board and all school trustees regarding the inclusion of Anti-Palestinian Racism (APR) in the educational framework. The distinct categorization of APR in anti-racism policies raises potential issues and unprecedented implications, particularly its impact on Jewish identity and free speech, as it may frame Jewish identity as inherently racist.
3. Antisemitic Sentiments in Elementary Teachers of Toronto Union: AGPI reported distressing antisemitic sentiments expressed by members of the Elementary Teachers of Toronto Union Executive, made public on social media, to the Ministry of Education. AGPI urges the ETT and the Ministry to implement comprehensive antisemitism training for all members, staff, and teachers, and to develop policies to combat systemic antisemitism and ensure consistent advocacy against all forms of discrimination.
4. Dalhousie University Academic Amnesty Decision: Following a June 13 Senate meeting at Dalhousie University, AGPI raised concerns about the decision to grant academic amnesty to students participating in a campus encampment for Palestine. AGPI fears that such amnesty may further marginalize Jewish students and create a climate of fear and intimidation, given the hostile environment they have faced. AGPI calls on the university senate to reconsider this decision and ensure equitable treatment for all students.
5. Political Statements at Toronto Metropolitan University Convocation: AGPI addressed reports of inappropriate political statements made during a Toronto Metropolitan University convocation ceremony. Seen in a public video, a student placed a Keffiyeh on the Associate Dean, who continued to wear it throughout the event. AGPI believes that the display of political symbols at a graduation ceremony is inappropriate, especially amid ongoing issues of systemic antisemitism and harassment of Jewish students at TMU. AGPI calls for the university to maintain a neutral and inclusive environment at academic events.

AGPI STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH HUNGARY'S JEWISH COMMUNITY:
BUDAPEST — In Hungary this week, a joint conference was held with the Jewish community in collaboration with my organization, the Abraham Global Peace Initiative. Hungarian authorities and the local Jewish community alike show little tolerance for pro-terrorism demonstrations. They do not tolerate the intolerant. At the Budapest screening of my latest documentary, “The End of the Innocence” (a film about the events of October 7), police and security forces promptly and decisively removed demonstrators who had come to protest the event.
Hungary’s pro-Israel stance, both domestically and in the international arena, especially at the United Nations, is a remarkable twist of fate. This is a country that, during the Second World War, deported nearly 500,000 Jews to Auschwitz. It betrayed a devoted and patriotic Jewish community that had sacrificed some 10,000 men to defend the homeland in First World War.
Hungary appears to be in a transitional phase of modernization, with its civil society striving to overcome its past, portray the country in a positive light and move it into a new era. Jewish leaders are optimistic, often saying that Hungary is “one of the most pro-Israel nations in the world today.” Yet Hungary has also drawn criticism for its insular approach to protecting its values from external pressures. As a result, unlike its neighbours, its streets are refreshingly relatively free of the violence-promoting antisemitism seen recently in places like Canada. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
SYNAGOGUES ATTACKED - WHATS NEXT?
It began with words. Now it's spiralling into violence. A brick was thrown through the window of a Kitchener Ontario synagogue this week. Last week, a synagogue in Vancouver was torched while a Jewish girls school in Toronto was shot at. Then another school this time in Montreal was fired at. Before that, Kehillat Shaarei Torah in Toronto had its windows smashed. The community has put together a financial reward through Crime Stoppers to find the shooters. But if authorities continue to fail to take action, what comes next? Will someone get hurt?
AGPI IN BUDAPEST - DEFENDING ISRAEL & FIGHTING ANTISEMITISM:
This is the time to unite and to stand together in support of Israel and against Antisemitism, with friends and communities around the world. This week, it was an honour and a pleasure for AGPI to participate in a major community event in Budapest, by providing a keynote address and screening AGPI's The End of the Innocence, a film about October 7th. Together, we are stronger.
HOUSE TO IMPOSE SANCTIONS ON THE ICC:
AGPI Commends the U.S. House of Representatives for voting 247-155 to impose sanctions on officials at the ICC who are going after Israeli leaders. The proposed Bill will restrict entry into the U.S. and impose financial sanctions. AGPI encourages the White House to sign the Bill into law.
AGPI CONDEMNS HAMAS SYMPATHIZERS ON CAMPUS:
AGPI condemns the violent behaviour this week of pro-Hamas students at McGill University. Student protestors continue to make a mockery of our universities by calling for violence (eg. intifada) and sowing hate and antisemitism. We support their removal from campuses, acknowledging the swift action undertaken by York University to remove a start-up encampment. We denounce the University of Toronto for disallowing a Jewish student equal right to set up a pro-Israel encampment - highlighting a double standard.
AGPI CONDEMNS TEACHERS UNION FOR NOT SUPPORTING HOLOCAUST EDUCATION:
A union in British Columbia representing teachers is blocking funding from an association that is trying to further Holocaust education in the province, after it became mandatory in the province. In a statement, AGPI condemned the move saying that given the rising tide of antisemitism, support for Holocaust education is important now more than ever.
AGPI UNIVERSITY PROVIDES LEARNING TOOLS:
AGPI University is a new platform to provide the world with free resources including articles, reports and videos. The portal includes information about Israel; its war against Hamas and international and foreign affair issues. Its a perfect tool constantly being developed and upgraded to provide information about critical issues.
June 1, 2024 - National Post - Conversation with Noa Tishby:
"Israel, we can all agree, is misunderstood now more than ever. But that misunderstanding is not Israel’s fault or a problem with its own public relations. It’s a pervasive issue that involves a one-sided media that refuses to tell the public the truth. It involves subterfuge at the highest echelons of the United Nations, the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice. A false narrative is dispersed on campuses, in politics and unions, meant to undermine Israel’s legitimacy".
In a follow-up on-stage interview with Tishby at The Abraham Global Peace Initiative’s annual dinner, The Crystal Ball Benefit, we reflected on how much had changed. Just two years ago, Israel was enjoying unprecedented global admiration. Its economy was booming, particularly its hi-tech sector; Its Arab population was quickly integrating and even joining the governing coalition, and Israel’s efforts to normalize relations with its neighbours was gaining momentum.
The entire script in the Middle East changed on October 7. Instead of garnering long-term sympathy for the heinous murders and rapes committed, Israel faced denials, distortions, and sabotage within the international community. It was literally the “end of the innocence” we seemed to be holding onto since the sun began shining on Israel with the onset of The Abraham Accords.

Toronto, May 31, 2024: The urgency of standing up against Antisemitism and supporting Israel has never been greater. Community leaders, philanthropists, and corporate sponsors were captivated by an exclusive interview with best-selling author, actor, and Israel advocate, Noa Tishby. We invite you to read the detailed account of this engaging discussion, which will be featured in tomorrow's (Saturday) National Post.
The evening was a deeply moving tribute to the 1,200 victims of the October 7th massacre, the 125 hostages still held by Hamas, and the nearly 300 IDF soldiers who have fallen in defence of Israel. We extend our gratitude to our distinguished guest speakers who eloquently addressed both local and international issues: Ambassador Ronen Gilor, Israel’s Special Advisor to Canada; Ontario's Solicitor General, Michael Kerzner; and Vaughan Mayor Stephen Del Duca.
The event also shone a spotlight on the challenges faced by Jewish university students. Guests were profoundly moved by musical tributes to the hostages from Cantor Simon Spiro of the Song Shul and 19-year-old Israeli shinshin, Yahli Moser. The emotional impact was palpable, leaving few dry eyes in the audience.
AGPI extends its thanks to The Hon. Michael Kerzner for presenting our organization with a special certificate, recognizing our "leadership in combating antisemitism and educational collaboration with law enforcement organizations to enhance public safety in Ontario."
We applaud and thank our supporters, guests, and all those who courageously stand up for Israel and fight against Antisemitism. We take pride in uniting the community to collectively defend our future and protect our past.
Shabbat Shalom and Am Israel Chai!
NEVER SURRENDER LAUNCHED IN NEW YORK CITY:

The book details the silence, distortion and complicity since and before the October 7th Hamas assault. To purchase your copy and to support the work of the organization, please click HERE.
AGPI DEMANDS WITHDRAWAL OF ICC ARREST WARRANTS FOR ISRAELI LEADERS:
In today's National Post, AGPI says the International Criminal Court can't have Jews defending themselves. The bogus charges will incite further antisemitism among radical left-wing activists. Chief Prosecutor Khan and his team correctly identified that Hamas leaders and operatives have committed international crimes since October 7, 2023, including extermination, murder, hostage-taking, rape, sexual violence, torture, and other inhumane acts. This week, families of five Israeli female IDF officers released a harrowing video showing their loved ones being beaten, tortured, and abducted to Gaza. But Khan has charged Israel in the shadow of Hamas’s documented atrocities, reminiscent of the Nazis. By attempting to equate Israel with terrorists, Khan joins others who create false equivalencies between Israel and Hamas. This dissonance permits the unacceptable justification of terrorism and hatred against Israel, as seen with the recent International Court of Justice charges introduced by South Africa. AGPI OUTRAGED BY ICJ RULING AGAINST ISRAEL:
The ICJ has joined Hamas' assault on Israel by demanding it halt its operations to find its hostages and dismantle Hamas in Rafah. In our view, the ICJ is effectively rewarding Hamas for terrorism and for its October 7th assault. Despite the fact the ICJ stopped short of ordering a cease-fire, AGPI demands the world court cease its legal assault on Israel.
AGPI CONDEMNS NEGOTIATION WITH HAMAS SYMPATHIZERS ON CAMPUS:
In a shocking letter released by University of Toronto's President, Meric Gertler, the university is offering to negotiate with the pro-Hamas sympathizers in order to remove the Anti-Israel encampment from its campus. The letter fails to mention the specific antisemitic nature of these encampments and the victimization of Jewish students and faculty. The university wants to create an advisory committee and a process to "consider options for disclosure and increased transparency related to the university's investments". AGPI statement: "This in effect, is an acquiesce to the demands of radical antisemitic, terror promoting students - something we condemn entirely".
PROFILE OF THE WEEK - JEWISH BILLIONAIRE CONDEMNS UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA:
Every week, AGPI profiles defenders of Israel and the Jewish people. This week, we are pleased to profile Ernest Rady, a Jewish billionaire who donated $30 million to the University of Manitoba. Rady condemned the valedictorian's speech about Israel's war against Hamas as being filled with 'hate speech and lies'. In a letter, Rady said the speech "not only dishonoured the memory of my father, but also disrespected and disparaged Jewish people as a whole". Rady condemned the university for allowing the speaker to "spew these hateful lies to a captive audience".
AGPI BRINGS ITS EDUCATION TO BEAVER RIVER:
This week, AGPI brought its education program to Beaverton Ontario's Beaver River public school, as the organization continues to expand its education footprint far and wide. Thousands of students have already attended our educational programming focused on fighting Antisemitism and hatred and building a better world. PRESS RELEASE
AGPI Statement on May 22, 2024: Today's video released by the families of Israeli hostages is shocking. Israeli women are beaten, tortured and kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th 2023.
Notice the Palestinian flag on the Hamas uniforms. Shame on Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands for recognizing a "Palestinian State" today - for rewarding terrorism. We continue to call on the world community to stop its assault on Israel, to bring back our hostages and to dismantle Hamas.

PRESS RELEASE
May 20, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a Canadian human rights organization, issued a letter in November to Karim Khan, chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), urging immediate arrest warrants for Hamas leaders.
Today, the court has agreed with three out of five AGPI recommendations, but AGPI is outraged that the court is also seeking arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant.
“By seeking arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, the ICC is setting a dangerous precedent and drawing a moral equivalence between a democratic state with its own judiciary acting defensively according to international conventions of war, and a terrorist organization committing heinous crimes against humanity,” said AGPI’s Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
“From the beginning of this conflict, the ICC has singled out Israel, demonstrating a double standard in comparison to other state actors such as China, Syria, and Iran. The ICC's apparent biased pursuit of Israel is akin to antisemitism,” Benlolo added.
AGPI calls on Mr. Khan and his colleagues at the ICC to cease pursuing Israel’s political leaders and IDF service members immediately. The organization also urges the international community, including the Canadian and American governments, to condemn the ICC for equating Israel with Hamas.
On November 8, 2023, AGPI issued a detailed letter to Mr. Khan suggesting arrest warrants for the following Hamas leaders: Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, Mohammed Deif, Khaled Mashal, Saleh al-Arouri, and Abu Marzuk. While Mr. Khan has agreed to issue warrants for Sinwar, Haniyeh, and Deif for crimes against humanity, AGPI continues to demand warrants for Mashal, al-Arouri, and Marzuk for their roles in the crimes committed on October 7th, 2023, and thereafter.
AGPI agrees with the ICC’s assertion that the following international crimes have been committed by Hamas leaders and operatives since October 7, 2023: "1) Extermination as a crime against humanity; 2) murder as crimes against humanity and war crime; 3) the taking of hostages as a war crime; 4) rape and other acts of sexual violence and captivity as crimes against humanity and war crimes; 5) torture during captivity as a crime against humanity and war crime; 6) other inhumane acts during captivity as a crime against humanity; 7) cruel treatment during captivity as a war crime.”
AGPI shares the ICC’s sentiment: “Sinwar, Deif, Haniyeh not only planned and instigated the crimes committed on October 7, 2023, but also acknowledged their responsibility through their words and actions. They are charged as co-perpetrators and as superiors.” AGPI supports Mr. Khan’s demand for the immediate release of all Israeli hostages held by Hamas. However, as long as the ICC undermines Israel’s legitimate defense efforts and draws false moral equivalences, such demands will be ignored by Hamas and the international community.
To the court’s discredit, Mr. Khan blames Netanyahu and Gallant for the humanitarian situation in Gaza while apparently failing to hold Hamas accountable for the starvation and deprivation of their own people, including using them as human shields, stealing aid, and attacking border crossings to prevent aid. He apparently overlooks Hamas’s use of UNRWA aid centers for military purposes and their continuous rocket fire into Israeli civilian areas. Furthermore, Mr. Khan apparently ignores Israel’s preventive measures, such as advising civilians to vacate areas and allowing aid into Gaza.
AGPI stands firm against the ICC’s unjust actions against Israel and its leaders and calls for immediate and unequivocal international condemnation.

IN TODAY'S NP - EMBOLDENING ANTISEMITES?
In today's National Post AGPI said: When antisemitism increases and becomes violent, it’s because the other side feels empowered to express its hate. This week, Mayor Olivia Chow of Toronto sent a troubling message by not attending the Israeli flag-raising ceremony at City Hall. Why should we be surprised that antisemitism in this country is becoming violent? Our political leaders have tacitly supported antisemites, failing to adequately curtail pro-Hamas rallies and encampments on university campuses. Boards of education are pressuring schools to adopt anti-Israel views into their curriculums, as is the B.C. Teacher's Federation. It is not far-fetched to suggest that this contributes to the toxic environment we are witnessing. Instead of taking a firm stance by strengthening hate crime and hate speech laws, attending Jewish events to show support and condemning calls for genocide and the eradication of the Jewish state. This attitude has emboldened pro-Hamas students to establish tent settlements on our campuses. Read the full article HERE.
AGPI SPEECH BROADCAST LIVE MARKING ISRAEL INDEPENDENCE DAY:
In a powerful speech broadcast live on television, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo highlighted Israel's incredible success as a democracy, a beacon of light in the Middle East and a place where people of different faiths, including 2 million Arabs, Christians and Druze live peacefully. He recounted the incredible story of a Bedouin who rescued more than 200 Israelis from the Nova party on October 7th. Asked why he helped, he said that he is a proud Israeli. That is the true story about Israel.
HAMAS ENCAMPMENT AT UOFT INCITES VIOLENCE:
During our visit to the University of Toronto camp this week, I was struck by the violence-promoting posters adorning the fencing around the field. Notable examples include a poster of a youth slinging a rock, another with the message “We’ll resist” and one featuring a pig with the words “No pigs” targeting police authority. Such displays would not be tolerated if they targeted any other group, underscoring the racist, discriminatory and pro-terrorism nature of this project. This behaviour is not only likely to violate the student code of conduct and hate speech laws, but also severely impacts the well-being of Jewish students and faculty who report feeling increasingly harassed and intimidated. See Video HERE.
SHOCK: VIOLENT ATTACK ON ISRAELI-CANADIAN STUDENT:
This week, the Jewish community was outraged by the violent assault of a Jewish-Israeli teen in New Brunswick. In communication with police officials, AGPI has been advised that the perpetrator has been arrested. The incident has been escalated to Major Crimes and the perpetrator cannot go near the victim. AGPI has reached out to the school to offer educational workshops.
AGPI PARTICIPATES IN ISLAMIC EXTREMISM CONFERENCE:
Islamists have become far more emboldened since October 7th. This one of many conclusions leading reformist Muslims held at a conference this week in Washington D.C. AGPI was proud to participate in the intimate gathering of experts who are working to stop the rising tide of hate and intolerance in the West and are at the forefront of alerting Americans and Canadians.
AGPI REACTS TO JOLY OVER BAN OF SETTLERS:
In response to Mélanie Joly, Canada's Foreign Minister, AGPI Member of the Advisory Board, Professor Aurel Braun said: "Violent extremists anywhere are deplorable. Here however, the Trudeau government is trying to create a moral equivalence between a lunatic fringe that has been strongly condemned by the Israeli government and Hamas and allied terrorists who governed Gaza and have enjoyed widespread popular support. Such a policy of false equivalence by the Trudeau government is both morally repugnant and profoundly dangerous to democracy, justice and to our Canadian ally, Israel".
CAMERON TO BBC: HAMAS IS A TERRORIS ORGANIZATION
British Foreign Secretary, David Cameron hasn't been described as pro-Israel recently. However, in a recent interview, he encouraged the BBC to describe Hamas as a terrorist organization: "If you kidnap grandmothers, kidnap babies, you rape people, you shoot children in front of their parents, what more do you need to do for the BBC to say, look these are terrorists? Because they really are". Maybe CBC should take note?

PRESS RELEASE
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative is urgently calling on the University of Toronto to dismantle the pro-Hamas encampment on its campus.
The organization expresses deep concern over the numerous posters promoting violence displayed around the fenced area. AGPI is also urging the Toronto police to investigate potential hate speech charges. Notable examples include a poster depicting a youth firing a rock from a sling and another bearing the message, "we'll resist." Additionally, a poster featuring a pig with the words "no pigs" seemingly undermines police authority.
Such displays would not be tolerated if they targeted any other group, highlighting the racist, discriminatory, and pro-terrorism nature of this project. This behavior not only breaches the student code of conduct and hate speech laws but also severely impacts the well-being of Jewish students and faculty, who report feeling increasingly harassed and intimidated.
The lack of similar actions against countries like Russia, Syria, Iran, or in response to China’s treatment of the Uyghurs starkly points to the antisemitic intent of these encampments, which solely target Israel and Jewish people. AGPI is calling for the immediate expulsion of the students involved and their removal from campus to safeguard the university community.

PRESS RELEASE
Thank You Toronto for Standing With Israel!
Toronto, May 14, 2024 - This morning, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) joined numerous political and community leaders to proudly raise Israel's flag at Toronto's City Hall and Ontario's Legislature, Queen's Park.
In his remarks broadcast live on mainstream television, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, stated, "Everywhere I go, people from non-Jewish backgrounds express their support for Israel. They believe in the state of Israel and understand the distinction between right and wrong."
Dr. Benlolo described Israel as a "beacon of hope and democracy," highlighting the peaceful coexistence of over two million Arabs, Druze, Bedouins, and Christians with the Jewish population. "This story is often overlooked by the media," he noted.
Amid attempts by pro-Hamas demonstrators to disrupt the Yom Ha'atzmaut event, Dr. Benlolo shared the heroic tale of his friend Remo, a Bedouin from Rehat, who saved 200 Israelis during an incident on October 7, 2023. "There are more non-Jews who support Israel than the small antisemitic fringe we often see," he emphasized.
AGPI extends its gratitude to the many political leaders who celebrated Israel's 76th anniversary with us today. Of particular note is Councillor James Pasternak and Deputy Mayor, Mike Colle, the Consulate General of Israel and the numerous Members of Provincial Parliament in attendance. Their leadership and steadfast support for freedom and democracy is invaluable.
AGPI thanks Jewish communities, both local and global, for their unwavering support of Israel. We urge the immediate release of the 133 hostages and the unconditional surrender of Hamas.

IN TODAY'S NP - NEVER AGAIN A CALL TO ACTION:
The memories of the Holocaust are etched indelibly into our national consciousness. Yet, unlike our forebearers, we are not defenceless. We stand fortified by the stalwart guardianship of the Israel Defence Forces, a beacon of strength in our darkest hour. And while our defences faltered on October 7, our resolve remains unyielding. For here, in the heart of Jerusalem, the eternal capital of our beloved Israel, we stand united in our determination to defend our homeland.

AGPI DENOUNCES UN VOTE FOR PALESTINIAN STATE:
In his comments today to the UN General Assembly, Ambassador Erdan said: "So here it is. I present to you the future outcome of today's vote, the soon-to-be President, Yahya Sinwar, President tyrant of the State of Hamas, sponsored by the UN." Today, the United Nations General Assembly rewarded the Palestinians for terrorism by voting 143 in favour and nine against (including the US and Israel) to admit a Palestinian State into full membership, dependent on the favour of the Security Council. As Israeli communities are absorbing dozens of rockets today (as the vote was happening) AGPI is denouncing this disastrous alignment with Hamas and terrorism.
BREAKING - AGPI MOURNS IDF ANNOUNCEMENT OF SOLDIER DEATHS:
AGPI is heartbroken by today's news that four Israelis were killed and 10 wounded in a Hamas rocket attack. Israel is preparing for memorial day marking over 30,000 dead since 1948 and 764 soldiers killed since October 7th and 834 civilians. May their memory be a blessing.

SPOTLIGHT: MAJOR LOSS FOR TRUTH IN CANADA
Reflecting on the sudden passing of Canadian icon, Rex Murphy, AGPI's CEO and Founder said in a statement: Canada lost an unrivalled voice for truth and eloquence. Rex Murphy stood for a better Canada. He was a staunch defender of the Jewish community and of Israel. It was always an honour to stand alongside him in the the National Post. In his last published article on May 7th, Murphy said: "our own universities and streets are now venues of the vilest antisemitism. Jews in Canada are, and rightly are, fearful. Where are the assurances, explicitly stated and backed by every state authority, that antisemitism will, when applicable, be punished?"
AGPI WELCOMES IRGC TERRORIST DESIGNATION:
AGPI welcomed the unanimous House of Commons vote in support of adding Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to Canada’s official list of terrorist organizations. Toronto - May 8, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) - a prominent Canadian Jewish organization - today welcomed the unanimous House of Commons vote in support of adding Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to Canada’s official list of terrorist organizations.
The motion, which was overwhelmingly voted on 327 to 0, accepted the House Justice Committee’s report urging the government to designate the IRGC as a terror entity in Canada.
“Canada has a moral and ethical obligation to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization, particularly following its downing of Flight PS752 in 2020, killing 176 people on board, including 55 Canadian citizens and 30 permanent residents,” said AGPI’s Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
“The argument for designation was made clearer in recent weeks following the IRGC’s direct attack on Israel, in which it fired more than 300 projectiles.”
Given the fact that Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, AGPI has been advocating for this designation for several years. The organization is encouraging Canada’s government to take immediate steps to list the IRGC and stop the reported 700 operatives who reside in the country.

October 7th bears the weight of harrowing recollections from the Holocaust's annals. On that fateful day, 1200 precious lives were cruelly snatched away from us, their voices silenced by unfathomable violence. A further 254 were cruelly torn from their families, leaving behind a haunting absence. Our prayers fervently echo for the safe return of the remaining 132 hostages.

We are delighted to share with you a profound testament to the Holocaust delivered today by AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, during the solemn International Commemoration of Yom Hashoah in Jerusalem:
Monday, May 6, 2024
"At 10:00 am this morning, sirens echoed across Israel, a somber tribute to the six million Jewish souls—innocent children, women, and men—whose lives were extinguished in the engulfing darkness of the Holocaust. In this hushed moment, Israel stood in unwavering solidarity, bowing in reverence to their memory.
Today, amidst the hallowed grounds of Jerusalem, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative stands alongside cherished friends at the esteemed Friends of Zion Museum, to honour Yom Hashoah—a solemn occasion that unites hearts across continents.
With deep gratitude, we welcome each of you who have chosen to stand with us today. Our agenda holds profound significance, as we convene a gathering of esteemed speakers, both live and through the virtual lens of Zoom, to navigate the depths of this historic day and contemplate the ominous rise of Antisemitism.
This year, October 7th bears the weight of harrowing recollections from the Holocaust's annals. On that fateful day, 1200 precious lives were cruelly snatched away from us, their voices silenced by unfathomable violence. A further 254 were cruelly torn from their families, leaving behind a haunting absence. Our prayers fervently echo for the safe return of the remaining 132 hostages.
Just yesterday, I walked amidst the ruins of Kfar Aza, a tranquil Kibbutz now scarred by the merciless onslaught of Hamas. Here, in this serene enclave, 64 souls were mercilessly lost, with another 19 torn from their loved ones, their fate hanging in the balance. Six of their brethren remain captive, their absence a poignant testament to the depths of our collective sorrow.
As I traversed the desolate streets, where once laughter danced in the air, I couldn't help but be seized by a profound sense of déjà vu. The parallels to the Holocaust were hauntingly palpable—families torn asunder, lives shattered in an instant, and dreams extinguished by the flames of hatred.
The memories of the Holocaust are etched indelibly into our national consciousness. Yet, unlike our forebearers, we are not defenceless. We stand fortified by the stalwart guardianship of the IDF, a beacon of strength in our darkest hour.
And while our defenses faltered on October 7th, our resolve remains unyielding. For here, in the heart of Jerusalem, the eternal capital of our beloved Israel, we stand united in our determination to defend our homeland.
The Holocaust serves as a somber reminder of our resilience in the face of adversity. It binds us together as a people, fortifying our spirit against the encroaching shadows of evil. While the events of October 7th bear no comparison to the atrocities of yesteryears, they serve as a stark testament to the enduring threat we face.
Had it not been for the valour of the IDF, the repercussions of Hamas's genocidal ambitions would have been unfathomable. Today, as we mourn the loss of the six million and the countless others who perished, let us remember that these tragedies do not define us—they embolden us.
"Never Again" is not merely a refrain; it is a clarion call to action.
To all those watching from the sanctity of your homes, I implore you to heed the wisdom of our forefathers: "You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it."
Our resolve shall not waver, our efforts shall not falter. We shall continue to build our nation, even as we honour the cherished memories of those we have lost. May their legacy be a guiding light in our darkest hours.
May their memory be a blessing".

AGPI DEMANDS ARREST AND EXPULSION OF HAMAS CAMPUS SYMPATHIZERS:
In today's National Post, we said: Antisemitism has been hiding in plain sight all these years as universities integrated and institutionalized falsehoods propagated by pro-Palestinian campaigns like “Israeli apartheid week” and “Boycott, Divest and Sanction” (BDS). While everyone else was looking away, excusing bad behaviour as “free speech,” universities have been overtaken by radical students, faculty, and unions. We should not be “negotiating with terrorists.” Students not adhering to a university’s code of conduct and to the laws of the land should be fined, arrested, and expelled.
AGPI ASKS POILIVERE POINTED QUESTIONS:
Last night, AGPI's Founding Chairman and CEO asked Canada's Leader of the Official Opposition, Pierre Poilievre a number of questions. On the banning of the IRGC, Mr. Poilievre said he would add the group to Canada's terror list; he said that he would ban UNRWA outright - and stop its funding and regarding universities, he would penalize universities who are allowing antisemitism to happen.

President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Benoit-Antoine Bacon
The University of British Columbia
7th Floor, 1958 Main Mall
Walter C. Koerner Library
Vancouver, BC Canada V6T 1Z2
Dear President Bacon;
On behalf of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI), a global Canadian Jewish human rights organization, we write to you today with grave concern regarding the pro-Hamas encampments taking place at The University of British Columbia (UBC).
As Canadians, we are deeply troubled by the disturbing images of the encampment on the UBC campus, accompanied by masked students displaying antisemitic signs on the surrounding fences. One such sign, reading "Zionists F… Off," is particularly egregious and unacceptable.
We are witnessing alarming events unfold on university campuses across America, notably at Columbia University, where protests have turned violent, as evidenced by the recent incident of protesters smashing windows and taking over buildings like Hamilton Hall.
Jewish students and faculty being prevented from entering campus paints a grim picture of attempts to create "Yuden-rein" or Jew-free spaces, which goes against Canadian values and your university's code of student conduct. As in the case of Columbia, the situation at UBC can escalate should the university fail to uphold these core values.
The world is closely watching as universities fail to condemn antisemitism and safeguard the Jewish community. We urge you and your administration at UBC to condemn antisemitism and take immediate action to dismantle the encampment on your campus. We suggest that failure to do so will result in a range of consequences for students, including arrests, fines, and expulsion.
By taking a firm stand, you will not only protect and defend Jewish students and faculty but also uphold the fundamental principles of democracy, freedom, and human rights.
We look forward to your prompt response and decisive action on this urgent matter.
Sincerely
Avi Abraham Benlolo
Chairman and CEO

"Everyone knows this evening is the start of Passover, so this timing is raising questions about the intent behind the report's release. Given Israel's inability to respond, the media is already choosing the most biased findings" said AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
Contrary to media reports, the report's direct quotes highlight significant and disconcerting operational findings in UNRWA. The following are direct quotes taken from the findings of the report:
Page 5: the report asserts that “...neutrality-related issues persist. They include instances of staff publicly expressing political views, host-country textbooks with problematic content being used in some UNRWA schools."
Page 29: "The most recent UNRWA Rapid Review of textbooks from the Palestinian Authority is the 2022/2023 review. It found that 3.85 per cent of all textbook pages contain “issues of concern to UN values, guidance, or position on the conflict,” either because they are deemed “educationally inappropriate” or because they are not in line with UNESCO standards.52 Even if marginal, these issues constitute a grave violation of neutrality. Among the various issues, recurrent ones were the use of historical maps in a non-historical context, e.g. without labelling Israel; naming Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine; naming cities in Israel as Palestinian cities; the use of the word Zionist (e.g. “Zionist occupation” referring to Israel)".
Page 30: “...the presence of even a small fraction of problematic content in textbooks, supplemental material and teaching content remains a serious issue. More work needs to be undertaken between UNRWA and the Palestinian Authority to pursue the replacement of problematic content, and to avoid the promotion of discrimination and incitement to hatred and violence, and the spreading of antisemitic views that contradict UN values and UNESCO standards".
Page 37: "UNRWA would benefit from stronger governance structures in support of its senior leadership’s efforts. The international community should also support UNRWA in addressing neutrality issues through these governance structures".
Page 40: "Neutrality of installations UNRWA’s facilities have sometimes been misused for political or military gains, undermining its neutrality. If the prevention of and response to the political misuse of UNRWA installations have been efficient, the agency has had more difficulty appropriately addressing the use of its installations for military purposes. Preventive measures, enhanced monitoring and transparent reporting are necessary to address this issue effectively".
Page 41: "UNRWA’s education system is crucial to several hundreds of thousands of Palestinian children. However, it has been reported for many years that schools may have been utilized to spread political views, including antisemitic content, violating neutrality principles as well as not respecting UNESCO standards and UN values….Any textbooks spreading antisemitic views, promoting discrimination and incitement to hatred and violence contradict UN values and UNESCO standards. Even if marginal, this constitutes a grave violation of neutrality. In Gaza and the West Bank such textbooks are those of the Palestinian Authority, but this does not relieve UNRWA of its responsibilities when these textbooks are used in UNRWA or UNRWA-funded schools. UNRWA needs to implement a zero-tolerance policy on this issue”.
Earlier this month, AGPI released a new report highlighting concerns regarding UNRWA. The report uncovered Hamas military installations located beneath UNRWA buildings in Gaza, including a data center beneath its headquarters. AGPI remains troubled by the apparent lack of reporting on this critical information in the official report. For more details, we invite the media and the public to review the AGPI report.

As we gather around our Passover tables tomorrow, we will remember the timeless promise of resilience passed down through generations: 'For not just one enemy has risen against us to destroy us, but in every generation they rise against us to destroy us, and the Holy One Blessed Be He saves us from their hands.'
Yet, amidst this celebration, the shadows of sorrow loom large for thousands of Jewish families in Israel. With 130 hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza, and the painful loss of over 1,200 lives on October 7th, including fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and children, this Passover is marked by profound emptiness.
Over 260 families of IDF soldiers, who bravely fought Hamas in Gaza, will also feel the absence of their loved ones at the Seder table.
In this time of darkness, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) stands firm, defending our future and safeguarding our past through unwavering advocacy and engagement worldwide. But we need our help.
We stand for Israel's security, tirelessly countering denials and distortions with documentaries, reports, articles, and symposiums, while collaborating with law enforcement and political leaders. Since October 7th, we've stood alongside soldiers and hostage families in Israel.
This Passover, we urgently ask for your support in our Campaign to Defend our Future and Protect Our Past. Your contribution enables us to continue our vital work, ensuring that our people's story endures and prevails, just as it has for 3000 years.
Thank you for standing with us in this critical campaign, defending Israel and the Jewish people.
Wishing you a meaningful and blessed Passover,
Avi Abraham Benlolo Founder and CEO, AGPI
AGPI HOLDS NATIONAL SECURITY MEETING:
More than 150 community leaders and diplomats attended this week's exclusive AGPI security meeting about the situation in Israel which included an analysis given by Brigadier General (res) Amir Avivi and Israel's Ambassador to Canada, Iddo Moed. The briefing is now available online by video HERE.
ISRAEL PROVES IT'S NOT ALONE:
In today's National Post, AGPI wrote: Iran is a menace to the world. An editorial in The Telegraph concluded that “Tehran has cast a long shadow over the world. From its direct funding of the evil of Hamas in Israel, to the proxies it uses to assault shipping in the Red Sea, to its assassination plots on British soil, it has constantly sought to undermine global order … the time for appeasement is now over.” Israel, in other words, should not be left to defend the world against Iran alone. Its hands are already full with Hamas to the south and Hezbollah in the north, not to mention Palestinian terrorism in the West Bank and the Houthis and other terrorist groups aiming for a piece of the action. Iran, in other words, is not an Israel problem. It’s a global problem. The stakes are high for the Middle East, and most Gulf states recognize Iran as an existential threat. For this reason, they passed along intelligence, participated in a command and control center at a U.S. base in Qatar, and opened their airspace to allied fighter jets, including Israeli. Now the coalition must come together to nullify Iran and its proxies from ever executing an attack of this scale or greater in the future. READ MORE
IRANIAN MEDIA DOWNPLAYS ATTACK:
Israel hasn't claimed responsibility. But Iran received a message in the bottle, likely from Israel. While Israel's counter attack was light in scope, Iran was rattled overnight by its vulnerability to an Israeli incursion. Despite this, Tehran Times, the main English platform of the regime refused to acknowledge the attack only saying its "air defenses fired at suspicious objects in Isfahan". In the same paper the head of the IRGC stated, "the Zionist regime will surely face "tit-for-tat" retaliation with advanced weapons".
SPOTLIGHT: ISRAEL'S AMBASSADOR TO THE UN:
Yesterday, Israel's Ambassador Gilad Erdan to the UN told the Security Council: "The day will come when the UN will be shuttered because it failed to prevent wars and protect human rights. And when that day comes, your support for the forced establishment of a Palesti-Nazi state will be remembered as a factor that hastened the collapse of the UN". Erdan was responding to an attempt to recognize a Palestinian State. The overwhelming approval was vetoed by the United States.
AGPI CATCHES UP WITH MELISSA LANTSMAN IN OTTAWA:
AGPI had an opportunity to catch up with Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party, Melissa Lantsman in Ottawa this week. Lantsman has been championing the fight against Antisemitism in Ottawa and is a strong defender of Israel.
AGPI ADVOCATES FOR IRGC DESIGNATION:
This week, AGPI wrote Member of Parliament, Garnett Genuis in support of his motion to immediately list the IRGC as a terrorist
organization: "Our understanding is that in addition to the Conservatives, the NDP and the Bloc Québécois have also pledged to vote in favor of the motion". AGPI is disappointed this important motion fell on deaf ears once again and failed to pass.
AGPI CONDEMNS LABELING SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL AS "RACISM" BY YORK FACULTY:
AGPI has voiced strong condemnation following a report in the National Post concerning a York University faculty group. The report suggests that the university’s commitment to addressing racial inequities is contingent on actively targeting and dismantling what it terms the “Zionist settler colonial project". AGPI is urgently requesting clarification from the university's president, Rhonda Lenton, specifically regarding allegations that the group is advocating for a “severing of ties with Zionist departments and institutions,” a move that would contradict principles of free speech and academic freedom. AGPI's recently released "Antisemitism Report Card in Canadian Universities" graded York University with an "F" for the continued antisemitism on campus. The report can be found HERE.
AGPI MARKS 81 YEARS SINCE WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING:
On April 19th, 1943, the largest single Jewish revolt commenced as the Nazis initiated the transportation of approximately 250,000 Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto to death camps. This act of defiance and resistance symbolized a monumental effort to safeguard and uphold the remaining Jews residing in the Ghetto during that period. The uprising persisted for nearly a month, yet tragically, the ghetto was ultimately "liquidated," resulting in the majority of Jews, including children, being murdered by the Nazis by May 19, 1943. For further insights into AGPI's educational programs, please reach out to our Director of Education, Dr. Neil Orlowsky, norlowsky@agpi.ca.
Toronto - April 17, 2023: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) has voiced strong condemnation following a report in the National Post concerning a York University faculty group. The report suggests that the university’s commitment to addressing racial inequities is contingent on actively targeting and dismantling what it terms the “Zionist settler colonial project.
According to the article, a committee within York University’s Department of Politics has proposed that any acknowledgment of Israel’s existence be classified as “anti-Palestinian racism.”
If these assertions are accurate, the proposed “departmental definition of anti-Palestinian racism” appears to aim at delegitimizing the State of Israel itself. Shamefully, the initiative reportedly commenced on November 14th, a mere five weeks after the October 7th massacre by Hamas that claimed 1,200 lives.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR BELOVED TORONTO?
In today's National Post, we express our concern that a lax attitude by our political leaders has given rise to pro-Palestinian groups crossing the line between free speech and hate speech and between peaceful assembly and violent assembly. Scuffles with police officers who are striving to maintain peace have become commonplace, as political leaders are taking up the Palestinian cause. “Glory to our Martyrs” and “Free Palestine” were graffitied on a bridge this week in Forest Hill, one of Toronto’s prominent Jewish neighbourhoods. It was a veneration of the so-called Hamas “Martyrs,” who murdered, raped, and mutilated 1,200 Jews on Oct. 7, and took 254 people — many of whom have been murdered and sexually assaulted while in captivity. Read our column HERE.
SPOTLIGHT: FRENCH PRIME MINISTER ATTAL PUTS COLLEAGUES IN THEIR PLACE
“You never say a word about the victims of the Hamas attack. You never talk about our hostages, who are still being held — today in Gaza there are three French hostages”. French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal came to Israel’s defence during a parliamentary session this week, resoundingly condemning the Hamas when he was asked asked if the French government would consider banning arms exports to Israel in light of the war in Gaza.
UOT PALESTINIAN STUDENTS ATTEMPT ISRAEL BOYCOTT:
The ongoing attempts by pro-Hamas Palestinian students to get universities to boycott Israel was on full display. This week, U of T President, Meric Gertler said, "the University does not condone the action taken by Occupy for Palestine inside Simcoe Hall nor other activities that disrupt the learning and working environment". He also rejected the group's call for the University to divest from investing in Israel. AGPI welcomes this new approach by U of T.
IRAN THREATENS ISRAEL - WORLD WATCHING:
The world is on edge. Israel has been conducting drills. The United States has pledged it would defend Israel. Lufthansa has cancelled flights to Tehran. Iranian media stated this week: that in a speech delivered by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, "the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, once again asserted that Israel will face consequences for its recent attack on Iran’s embassy in Damascus". Iran is a leader in funding terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
WHAT WOULD MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. SAY?
What would Martin Luther King Jr. say, had he been alive? The AGPI Education Team has been actively engaged in spreading awareness about human rights across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Recently, our team embarked on a dynamic journey, bringing their impactful exhibitions to schools such as Smithfield Middle School in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and Henry Street High School in the Durham District School Board (DDSB). At Smithfield Middle School, our team launched AGPIs “Power of One Human Rights Exhibit”, inspiring students to understand the significance of individual actions in upholding human rights. Meanwhile, at Henry Street High School, our educators collaborated with second-semester students, unveiling AGPIs “Not In My Name Human Rights Exhibit”, fostering critical discussions and empowering young minds to stand against injustice through the lens of the MS St Louis. For those interested in hosting either of our exhibits, please reach out to our AGPI Director of Education, Dr. Neil Orlowsky, at norlowsky@agpi.ca.
AGPI CONDEMNS PELOSI-LED LETTER:
In alignment with Israel and Jewish communities, AGPI denounces the April 5th letter issued by Nancy Pelosi to President Biden and Secretary Blinken, calling on them to "withhold... any future offensive arms transfers" to Israel. The 40 Democrats who signed the letter, including some of Israel's most extreme critics, are advocating for this withholding of arms "until a full investigation into the airstrike is completed" concerning the World Central Kitchen staffers. In a Wall Street Journal editorial, the paper stated that "cutting off weapons to an ally in wartime would be the definition of betrayal."
AGPI RELEASES MAJOR REPORT ABOUT UNRWA:
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) released a new report urging the dismantling of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). The report, authored by former U.S. federal prosecutor Henry Kopel, presents extensive open-source information highlighting UNRWA's role as an obstacle to Middle East peace. The report provided a global audience with evidence about allegations against UNRWA with respect to involvement in incitement in schools and terrorism. To read the full report, please click HERE. AGPI ON FRONT PAGE TODAY - "BACKING HAMAS CHEAPENS HEROIC AID WORK:
The tragic loss of seven World Central Kitchen staff members providing aid in Gaza exposed not only the dire consequences of war but also the not-so-shocking media and political bias against Israel. We are heartbroken over the “seven heroes” accidentally killed in an IDF strike on their aid convoy. It’s time for the world to realize that Israel is in a brutal war with the most vicious terrorist organization on the planet. It is engaged in unprecedented urban guerrilla warfare, whereby Hamas terrorists dress like civilians, hide in hospitals, and transport themselves in ambulances. As such, Israel has already made many intelligence errors, even accidentally killing its own citizens fleeing their Hamas captors. READ ARTICLE

What would Max Eisen talk about today, had he been alive? The world around us, many Holocaust survivors say, is very similar to 1933 Germany, when Antisemitism was on the rise. Press Release: April 4, 2024 - The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) today released a new report urging the dismantling of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
The report, authored by former U.S. federal prosecutor Henry Kopel, presents extensive open-source information highlighting UNRWA's role as an obstacle to Middle East peace.
The report outlines four key reasons supporting this recommendation, each thoroughly documented:
1. Generational Limbo: Instead of aiding displaced Palestinians from 1948 and helping them rebuild their lives, UNRWA has perpetuated a multigenerational cycle of distress, directing it towards Israel rather than constructive solutions.
2. Incitement in Schools: UNRWA schools have become centers for inciting hatred towards Israel and promoting terrorism among Palestinian youth.
3. Involvement in Terrorism: UNRWA personnel, alumni, and facilities are implicated in supporting terrorist activities against Israelis, including providing recruits and material support to organizations like Hamas.
4. Lack of Action: Despite public evidence of its role in promoting terrorism, UNRWA has failed to take effective measures to address and eradicate these practices.
The report also highlights alleged collaboration between Hamas and UNRWA, raising concerns about UNRWA's complicity in terrorist activities. AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, has engaged with UN and UNRWA officials multiple times regarding these issues, yet UNRWA's persistent denial and inaction remain alarming.
AGPI calls upon the Canadian government to reconsider its commitment of $25 million to UNRWA in light of these findings.

HAMAS SYMPATHIZERS TAKE OVER TORONTO CITY HALL:
Iftar is supposed to be a feast of peace. However, Pro-Hamas activists used the invitation by Toronto's Mayor, Olivia Chow to call for the genocide of the Jewish people. They drowned out Mayor Chow and openly chanted, "from the river to the sea...". Security was not called to remove them, allowing them to use and abuse the chambers to promote antisemitism and hatred. AGPI is calling for a ban of this group by the City of Toronto.
SHOCKING: U.S. ABSTAINS FROM RUSSIA-CHINA SUPPORTED RESOLUTION
This week, AGPI issued a statement advising that the U.S. made a substantial mistake by abstaining from a critical vote on Gaza. Its abstention rewards Hamas and harden its resolve to release hostages. Hamas has little incentive to stop fighting, given the US shift and alignment with Russia and China. This is tragic for the West.

JOE LIEBERMAN - A TRUE MENSCH PASSES AWAY:
This week, AGPI extended its heartfelt condolences to Hadassah and family on the passing of former Senator Joe Lieberman. Senator Lieberman will be remembered for his warmth and exemplary leadership. He was highly regarded by Jewish communities at home and around the world. His contributions to public service and dedication to promoting peace will leave a lasting impact on all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hadassah and the entire Lieberman family during this difficult time. BDE.
THE FACE OF EVIL: MORE EVIDENCE OF RAPES AS A WEAPON OF HAMAS:
Eerily shocking - captured Islamic Jihad terrorist describes how he raped a young Israeli girl on a kibbutz, describing her clothing and undergarments in detail. He then killed two other people. This is the barbarity now defended by the international community. Meanwhile, we are heartbroken to learn about the revelation that an Israeli Hamas captive, Amit Soussana, was sexually assaulted by her captor. This is the "WHY" Hamas must be eliminated.
HOLOCAUST DENIAL - ONE IS TOO MANY:
One in six Canadians (16 per cent) between the ages of 18 and 24 believe the Holocaust was exaggerated, double that of 25- to 34-year-olds (eight per cent) and eight times greater than those 65 and older (two per cent), according to the Leger survey.
THE FUTURE OF ISRAEL AND ITS DEFENDERS:
Israel before October 7th seems like a distant memory, yet that was the true essence of Israel. AGPI encapsulated this nation's hope in our 2022 documentary, which remains a powerful reminder of the aspirations of a people. Toronto - March 27, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is expressing shock about a pro-Hamas take-over of the chambers at Toronto's City Hall.
Instead of celebrating peace in accordance with Iftar, they called for the ethnic cleansing of Israel, with their now infamous chant ("from the river to the sea"). Instead of denouncing the October 7th massacre of innocent Israelis, the pro-Hamas activists falsely accused Israel of "genocide".
AGPI strongly objects to the usage of Toronto's City Hall and its respected chambers by groups who sow antisemitism, hate and division in the City of Toronto. We call on Mayor Olivia Chow to distance herself from such groups and to disallow further abuse of city property.
Toronto - March 25, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) issued a statement today expressing profound disappointment at the recent resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council, which calls for a ceasefire.
AGPI emphasizes that any ceasefire must be contingent upon the immediate release of all Israeli hostages currently held by Hamas in Gaza. Without this essential precondition, a ceasefire would be untenable and unacceptable. AGPI underscores that no sovereign nation would acquiesce to anything less when it comes to safeguarding the lives of its citizens.
The organization also expresses deep regret regarding the decision of the United States to abstain from the vote on the resolution. AGPI aligns itself with the sentiments articulated by Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield at the UN, asserting that "any ceasefire must be accompanied by the unconditional release of all hostages."
AGPI echoes the concerns raised by Israel's Ambassador Erdan regarding the resolution led by Russia and China, characterizing it as unconstructive and as bolstering Hamas rather than promoting peace. AGPI reaffirms Israel's inherent right to self-defense, the protection of its civilians, and the necessity of applying military pressure to dismantle Hamas and ensure the safety of its citizens.
AGPI: CANADA'S FOREIGN POLICY HIJACKED FOR HAMAS:
In today's National Post, we shared our concern for Canada's Hijacked foreign policy. On the same day Parliament admonished its friend and ally, Israel, by declaring a de facto arms embargo. It pretended to embody Canadian values by also paying tribute to former prime minister Brian Mulroney. Given Mulroney’s relentless support of Israel and fight against antisemitism, what took place in Parliament on that fateful day was a disgrace to his memory. Our foreign policy has been hijacked by parliamentarians who lack the sophistication to distinguish between good and evil. History will indeed judge Canada harshly, as noted by Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz. Read full article HERE.
AGPI DENOUNCES NDP-LIBERAL MOTION ON GAZA:
On behalf of the Canadian Jewish community, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) denounces the non-binding NDP motion about Gaza in the House of Commons. Despite the failure of the NDP's attempt to force Canada to change its policy regarding the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian State, we are disappointed that the majority of the Liberal Party provided overwhelming support for a final modified version of the motion that sided with Hamas, a designated terror organization. While Hamas receives military equipment from Iran and Hezbollah and funding from Qatar, Canada's adopted (unenforceable) motion requires the nation to cease (even non-lethal) military exports to Israel. In other words, Canada is rewarding terrorism and rejecting the notion that Israel has a right to defend itself against Hamas, a Palestinian terror organization that murdered 1,200 civilians on October 7th and seeks the annihilation of the Jewish State.
BASSAM EID TELLS AGPI GROUP "UNRWA HOLDING PALESTINIANS HOSTAGE":
Palestinian activist, Bassam Eid told a global meeting of The Abraham Global Peace Initiative that relations with the Palestinians has been set at least 50 years back because of the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th. He believes that Hamas must be destroyed not only for the benefit of Israel, but also for the benefit of the Palestinian people. Eid added that UNRWA must be dismantled, for keeping the Palestinian people hostage so that it can continue earning an income. Watch the full video HERE.
AGPI: PARLIAMENT OPENED FLOODGATES OF ANTISEMITISM:
This week’s horrendous political coup, in which the anti-Israel NDP hijacked Canada’s foreign policy has paved the way for a new strain of antisemitism. It is in this climate that the editors of La Presse deemed it acceptable to publish a Nazi-era style cartoon, depicting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a vampire. While La Presse apologized, we are pleased that a national inquiry about the rising Antisemitism is being called in Ottawa.
MUST BE STOPPED! PRO-HAMAS & PALESTINIAN RALLIES RESPONSIBLE FOR SPIKE IN JEWISH HATE:
In a briefing held this week, Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw advised that hate crimes have increased by 93% over the same period last year, totalling 989 recorded incidents. Of those, the Jewish community was targeted in 56% of all occurrences. The sharpest rise occurred in February, with a 67% increase. Additionally, the Chief reported 69 arrests, 173 charges, and 342 incidents of hate graffiti. In reply, AGPI said: "Our understanding is that the significant rise in hate crimes against the Jewish community has been instigated by pro-Palestinian/Hamas activists who have targeted Jewish communities. We continue to call upon both the federal and provincial governments to strengthen and enforce hate crime laws, provide police with more resources, and stop attacks on Jewish institutions and communities".
AGPI'S DOCUMENTARY "THE END OF THE INNOCENCE"
An exceptional educational tool is AGPI's recently produced documentary about October 7th, 2023. The End of the Innocence is a perfect tool to forward to people who you believe need to be further educated. We invite you to watch the film and pass it forward. Please click HERE

AGPI EDUCATION PROGRAMS BRING LIGHT TO OUR WORLD:
This week, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Henry Street High School in the Durham District School Board for their invaluable partnership in showcasing our Power of One Human Rights Exhibit. This collaboration has provided a vital platform for students, staff, and community members to engage in meaningful conversations and reflection on being an up stander during challenging times. Working with schools like Henry Street and partnering with boards like Durham District School Board demonstrates our commitment to fostering inclusivity and social responsibility, greatly enhancing the impact of our exhibit. Having schools across Ontario open their doors to host our displays, exemplifies their dedication to promoting human rights education and awareness within their communities.

AGPI Denounces Non-Binding Motion About Gaza
Toronto - Tuesday, March 19, 2024: On behalf of the Canadian Jewish community, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) denounces the non-binding NDP motion about Gaza in the House of Commons.
Canada has once again turned its back on the Jewish community. It did so in 1939 when it turned away the St. Louis, where most of its Jewish passengers were murdered in Germany's gas chambers. It's doing it again with the radical left that has been pounding the Jewish community with Antisemitism on our campuses and now with hateful genocidal calls on our streets.
Now, Canada is slowly being forced to change its foreign policy with our long-standing ally, the State of Israel - at its greatest time of need. Canada is resuming funding for UNRWA, whose staff have been implicated in terrorism. Just last week, our Foreign Minister, Melanie Joly, and MP Ya'ara Sacks stood alongside the Antisemitic, Holocaust-denying, terror incentivizing, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, warmly holding his hands.
"We believe that the majority of Canadians find this behaviour reprehensible. They worry about Canada losing its moral high ground on the world stage. They see our traditional values eroding and our stand with democratic allies diminishing. As an organization, we will continue standing up for the "I am Canadian" Canada, expressing this majority sentiment on behalf of all Canadians and the Jewish community" said AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
On behalf of the Jewish community and its friends and allies, AGPI expresses its appreciation for the Conservative and Liberal members who eloquently opposed the NDP motion.

AGPI Statement on Shocking Rates of Antisemitism in Toronto
Toronto - March 18, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses shock at the revelation of skyrocketing antisemitic hate crime statistics provided by Toronto's Chief of Police, Myron Demkiw.
In the briefing, Chief Demkiw advised that hate crimes have increased by 93% over the same period last year, totalling 989 recorded incidents. Of those, the Jewish community was targeted in 56% of all occurrences. The sharpest rise occurred in February, with a 67% increase. Additionally, the Chief reported 69 arrests, 173 charges, and 342 incidents of hate graffiti.
"Our understanding is that the significant rise in hate crimes against the Jewish community has been instigated by pro-Palestinian/Hamas activists who have targeted Jewish communities. We continue to call upon both the federal and provincial governments to strengthen and enforce hate crime laws, provide police with more resources, and stop attacks on Jewish institutions and communities," said AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
This morning, AGPI commended Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca for putting forward a motion today in response to pro-Palestinian/Hamas demonstrations in Thornhill that restricts demonstrators to 100 meters from places of worship, schools, and other facilities. AGPI encourages other cities across North America to emulate the proposed Vaughan By-Law.
Recently, AGPI has released its Global Report on Antisemitism and its Report Card on University Antisemitism to highlight the growing incidents in our communities and around the world. AGPI's educational programs provide workshops in schools and police agencies to educate about antisemitism, racism, and discrimination. The organization further works closely with police in education, training and in advocating against hate crime.

AGPI Statement on NDP Motion on Palestinian State
Sunday, March 17, 2024: In a live radio broadcast today on the widely syndicated Roy Green Show, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative's (AGPI) Avi Abraham Benlolo denounced a proposed motion on the establishment of a Palestinian State.
Canada's parliament is set to vote tomorrow on an NDP proposed motion in the House of Commons. While the motion denounces Hamas and calls for the return of hostages, it calls for a ceasefire, which would leave Hamas in power, despite its heinous crimes of October 7th.
Dr. Benlolo said: "Today on live radio, I argued that the proposition of establishing a Palestinian state is ludicrous considering the corruption of the Palestinian Authority; its sponsorship of terrorism, and its inability to unify Gaza with the West Bank. Moreover, the PA's leader Mahmoud Abbas is not adhering to democratic principles, considering he has refused elections for 18 years. The Palestinians are simply not ready for statehood".
AGPI calls on parliament to carefully consider the consequences of such a motion, its potential of siding with Hamas in regards to a ceasefire, in what would be an irresponsible move should its backing for a Palestinian state gain traction in the House of Commons.
ISRAEL MUST WIN NO MATTER WHAT BIDEN SAYS:
In today's National Post, we said that President Joe Biden is engaging in a risky game of chicken with his greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel. While his support for Israel’s war effort has been commendable, in recent days, his rebuke of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has become sharper: He had the audacity to say of Netanyahu, “he must pay more attention to the innocent lives being lost as a consequence of the actions taken…. He’s hurting Israel more than helping Israel.” Given this false narrative, it’s Biden who is hurting Israel by failing to recognize the impossibility of the situation. Now, the Senate majority leader of the United States, Chuck Schumer, is reinforcing Biden’s message...
SPOTLIGHT ON BASSEM EID:
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is inviting you to join a global briefing (via Zoom) featuring Bassem Eid, a Palestinian activist known for his efforts in exposing human rights violations by the Palestinian Authority and the murder of Palestinian dissidents. Mr. Eid has dedicated 26 years to researching the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) and has extensively documented his findings, contending that UNRWA has perpetuated a hostage-like situation of the Palestinian people. He is a vocal critic of the BDS movement and frequently tours university campuses to counter misinformation about Israel. CANADA'S WARM EMBRACE OF A TYRANT:
As a nation, we speak against Holocaust denial, hateful incitement and terrorism. Yet, this week, Canada's Foreign Minister, Melanie Joly, was photographed with the Holocaust denying, terror inciting, antisemitic President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. On the other side of this tyrant was Ya'ara Sacks, the MP for York Centre, a riding in the heart of the Jewish community.
AGPI'S STATEMENT ON SCHUMER'S REMARKS:
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly rebukes U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's call for early elections in Israel. While Leader Schumer rightly condemns Hamas as a terrorist organization and acknowledges the need for reform within the Palestinian Authority, his interference in Israel's electoral process is unwarranted. "Leader Schumer's disregard for Israel's sovereignty is alarming. Israel is a sovereign democracy, not a vassal of the United States.
GLAZER'S MISGUIDED COMMENTS:
Jonathan Glazer's comments on Israel and the Holocaust during the Oscars were misguided. Israel is battling for its survival against a malevolent terrorist organization that espouses the Nazi ideology. Despite earning an Academy Award for a Holocaust-themed film, Glazer ought to discern the crucial distinctions between the Holocaust and the complex situation in Gaza.

AGPI WISHES ITS MUSLIM FRIENDS A RAMADAN KAREEM
Ramadan should be a time of peace and reflection. Unfortunately, Hamas and other extreme groups are using the holiday to sow hate, anger and discord. Our hope is that the Muslim world will observe this time of year in peace. Ramadan Mubarak.
AGPI Statement on Leader Chuck Schumer's Remarks
Thursday, March 14, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly rebukes U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's call for early elections in Israel and his criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Criticizing Netanyahu, particularly during a time of conflict, is tantamount to equating him with Hamas and the Palestinian Authority," stated AGPI’s Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.

Statement on March 11, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly denounces Jonathan Glazer's misguided comments on Israel and the Holocaust during the Oscars. Kingston, ON – March 9, 2024 – The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses deep concern regarding the heightened safety issues faced by Jewish students at Queen’s University during Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW), organized by SPHR Queen’s.
This event marks the first return to our campus since 2016 and coincides with the 150-day mark since the tragic October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. The United Nations has reported evidence indicating that Hamas engaged in the rape and sexual assault of Jewish victims and their hostages during this attack. In its recent Report on Campus Antisemitism, Queens University was graded with a “D-” by AGPI for its lacklustre response to Antisemitism.
AGPI recognizes the complex and emotionally charged atmosphere following these events, but antisemitic incidents on campus have raised serious concerns. In the last 48 hours, during a pro-Palestinian "die-in" event, a participant placed their toddler on the sidewalk while others directed vulgarities at Jewish students and their allies. Additionally, reports highlight a teaching assistant wearing a keffiyeh in class and stating that any discomfort from Zionists is grounds for leaving.
Despite Queen’s University making news for a Palestinian flag flying during Shabbat, students we've spoken to express feeling unsafe on campus and in their dorms. Notably, Queens Chabad had to hire extra security for dinner due to safety concerns after a pro-Palestinian protest disrupted students attempting midterms. When Jewish students raised security concerns, they felt their rights were prioritized below those of Palestinian and Muslim students. AGPI is pleased to learn that Campus Security has removed the Palestinian flag and is actively investigating the matter. However, we remain concerned that this hate and rising antisemitism on campus and across the country did not occur in isolation.
Collectively, these events create an extremely uneasy and unsafe environment for Jewish students at Queen’s University. AGPI urgently calls on the university to take immediate action to address these incidents and ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Antisemitism has no place in an inclusive educational environment, and steps must be taken to foster a campus that values diversity, understanding, and respect.

THOUSANDS SIGN AGPI PETITION TO STOP CANADA FUNDING OF UNRWA FORCING POSTPONEMENT:
In a petition letter to Prime Minister Trudeau, AGPI discouraged him from reinstating UNRWA. The organization wrote: "While UNRWA terminated the implicated employees, we believe this does not absolve the organization from its deep-seated issues of complicity and harbouring a culture of hatred that contributed to the terrorist attacks on October 7th. Furthermore, multiple UNRWA locations in Gaza have been used by Hamas to conceal weapons and tunnels, with UNRWA's headquarters in Gaza serving as a Hamas datacenter". Add your voice HERE.
SURGING CAMPUS ANTISEMITISM:
On the heels of AGPI's 2024 Campus Report, hate targeting Jewish students and Israel continues to increase. This week, AGPI contacted the President of Concordia to protest the cancellation of a Jewish program. AGPI also contacted the Presidents of UBC and Laurier University. For the former, we expressed our concern about a proposed termination of the lease of Hillel House. On the latter, we expressed our dismay about an upcoming panel on racism and Antisemitism that did not adequately reflect a Jewish voice. To read our report, click HERE.
AGPI'S REACTION TO UN RELEASE OF REPORT ON SEXUAL VIOLENCE OF ISRAELI WOMEN:
AGPI welcomed the recent report released by the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, shedding light on the heinous sexual crimes committed by Hamas against Israeli women on October 7th and as hostages in Gaza.
UN Special Representative Pramila Patten disclosed that her team's investigation revealed instances of rape and gang rape at three locations on October 7th: the Nova music festival site and its surroundings, road 232, and Kibbutz Re'im. In a disturbing pattern, victims were subjected to rape before being tragically killed. Read AGPI's Press Release HERE.

Thornhill, March 7, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) expresses deep concern regarding the recent pro-Hamas demonstration organized by Palestinian groups in front of the Beth Avraham Yosef Synagogue in Thornhill, Ontario.
Despite encountering a larger group of Jewish defenders, the actions of the pro-Hamas demonstrators resulted in vitriol and, in some instances, physical altercations, creating a serious and potentially dangerous security situation within the tranquil suburban Jewish community of Thornhill.
Earlier this week and this morning, AGPI communicated its apprehensions to the York Region Police Services. It continues to call on law enforcement to undertake stronger measures to protect Jewish communities across the country.
In a statement released today, the organization vehemently condemns the targeting of Jewish institutions, particularly synagogues. AGPI emphasizes that Canada's Charter of Rights guarantees freedom of religion, and obstructing, intimidating, or harassing religious groups is illegal and infringes upon the Charter. It also highlights the illegality of blocking access to buildings, neighborhoods, and roads, as well as the prohibition of face-covering during protests in Canada. Furthermore, supporting designated terrorist groups, as identified by Canada, is also illegal.
AGPI communicated these concerns directly to the York Region Police Service this morning. "We continue to voice our alarm over the blatant display of Antisemitism, hate, and discrimination by the pro-Palestinian and Hamas side," stated AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.

The Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau
Prime Minister of Canada
Dear Prime Minister Trudeau,
We hope this letter finds you well. The Abraham Global Peace Initiative, a Canadian human rights foundation committed to upholding strong Canadian and global values of human rights, expresses its concerns and disappointment regarding Canada's decision to resume funding for the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA).
Last night's announcement surprised and dismayed us, especially considering that many of our constituents and followers, echoing our values, are troubled by the evidence pointing to UNRWA staff's complicity in terrorism. According to intelligence reports from Israel, up to 450 UNRWA staff members, including at least 14, were implicated in murder and hostage-taking on October 7th. Recently, the IDF released a recording of a UNRWA employee gloating about taking hostage a female Israeli.
While UNRWA terminated the implicated employees, we believe this does not absolve the organization from its deep-seated issues of complicity and harbouring a culture of hatred that contributed to the terrorist attacks on October 7th. Furthermore, multiple UNRWA locations in Gaza have been used by Hamas to conceal weapons and tunnels, with UNRWA's headquarters in Gaza serving as a Hamas datacenter.
Mr. Prime Minister, it is challenging to fathom how any country can justify funding an entity with both direct and alleged connections to terrorism. In Canada, associating, supporting, or being connected to terrorist groups is illegal, as per our anti-terror laws. It is crucial to adhere to these laws even when there are mere allegations.
Let us also consider that 134 Israeli hostages remain under Hamas captivity. Even given UNRWA's strong connection to Hamas and its followers, no efforts have been made to bring aid to them.
Therefore, we urge you to reconsider your government's decision to re-fund UNRWA immediately. Alternatively, we implore you to explore alternative channels to support humanitarian relief programs in the region. Canada must not be complicit in aiding and abetting terrorism, even when suspicions arise.
As we approach International Women's Day, let us reflect on the heinous acts committed by Hamas, with the alleged support of organizations like UNRWA. As a nation, we cannot continue supporting an organization that may inadvertently or otherwise contribute to such atrocities.
Sincerely,
Avi Abraham Benlolo
Founder and CEO, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative
Toronto, March 5, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) welcomes the recent report released by the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, shedding light on the heinous sexual crimes committed by Hamas against Israeli women on October 7th and as hostages in Gaza.
The Nova music festival site, according to Patten, witnessed severe violations, including brutal mass murders, with several hundred bodies recovered and numerous abductions reported.
Of great concern is the identified pattern of organized, systematic, and premeditated sexual violence across multiple locations. Patten highlighted that victims were found either fully or partially undressed, bound, and shot. The report detailed evidence of sexualized torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment.
"While the UN's report marks a crucial first step in rectifying the international record after the October 7th events, it is disheartening that the UN General Assembly has not yet condemned the attack and the atrocities committed by Hamas on that day," expressed AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
Benlolo further expressed disappointment that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has not commented or issued a statement regarding these damning findings regarding the sexual violence on Israeli women by Hamas.
Following the October 7th massacre by Hamas, AGPI took swift action, documenting the atrocities in a documentary titled "The End of the Innocence." Additionally, the organization published a column condemning the silence of women's groups in the face of such horrific events. AGPI remains committed to raising awareness about these crimes and advocating for justice for the victims.
AGPI further monitors and responds to the activity of the United Nations. Please visit its UN updates at Eye on the UN. For Arabic speakers, visit AGPI Arabic.

THE LEFT'S ATTEMPT TO REDEEM HAMAS:
In today't National Post, we said: "Many of those who say they fight for human rights, who stand up for women’s rights, for gay rights and for the rights offered by the constitutions of liberal democracy are undermining the fundamental values held sacred in the West.
There are serious and severe efforts to wear down a value system primarily grounded in the Judeo-Christian beliefs ingrained in western civilization. Blurring the lines between terrorists by calling them “militants” or “combatants” is one prevalent method we can observe in the media today. This distortion is extraordinarily dangerous for our society because it undermines our fundamental principles of truth and justice.
When it comes to right and wrong, or good and bad, never listen to the street, political leaders or the media. If you want to preserve our free way of life and defend democracy, then listen to your heart".
HAMAS ANSWERED HITLER'S CALL: READ BRIAN MULRONEY'S SPEECH TO THE WORLD JEWISH CONGRESS:
In November 2023, Former prime minister Brian Mulroney was honoured by the World Jewish Congress Theodor Herzl Award gala in New York. This may have been his last known speech to the Jewish community. Read it HERE.
NEW SURVEY RESULTS ARE PRO-ISRAEL:
A poll in British Columbia found that over 77 per cent of residents on Vancouver Island, 74 per cent in the Fraser Valley and 71 per cent in southern B.C. are concerned about rising antisemitism in Canada. Significantly, nearly two-thirds of the province’s residents (64 per cent) agree with Canada’s decision to suspend funding for the United Nations Relief Works Agency after some of its staff were found complicit in terrorism.
A revelatory survey conducted earlier this month by the Harvard Center for American Political Studies and Harris Poll has found that 82 per cent of Americans support Israel in the conflict against Hamas. In January, the firms also found that an overwhelming 83 per cent of Americans say Oct. 7 was a terror attack. But if you listen to U.S. President Joe Biden in recent weeks, you will think that the tide is shifting against Israel. Nothing could be further from the truth. Contrary to Biden’s recent pronouncements, the January polling results even found that 67 per cent of Americans say a ceasefire should happen only if all hostages are freed and Hamas is removed from power.
THIS WEEK PALESTINIAN TERRORISM KILLS TWO ISRAELIS:
Last week, a Palestinian terrorist attack killed 1 Israeli and left 11 injured. This week, another terror attack in the West Bank killed a 16 year old boy and a 57 year old man. AGPI stands steadfastly with Israel in the fight against terrorism. This year, Israel reports there have been 199 terror attacks; 626 have been stopped and 3,506 have been prevented in advance.
AGPI COMMENDS US IN BLOCKING SECURITY COUNCIL MOTION BLAMING ISRAEL FOR GAZA CONVOY:
While the jury is still out about the deaths that occurred in Gaza overnight, Arab states ceased the opportunity to try and condemn Israel at the Security Council. AGPI concurs with US deputy ambassador Robert Wood's sentiment: “The problem is that we don’t have all the facts here,” he said, adding that he wanted the wording to reflect “the necessary due diligence with regards to culpability.”
THIS WEEK AGPI SPOTLIGHTS RISHI SUNAK:
Some leaders simply "get it". In an address today to the media on Downing Street in London, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak addressed the nation saying that the Gaza protests were being used by extremists to target democracy. “Islamist extremists and far-right groups are spreading a poison. That poison is extremism”. According to reports, he said that people had the right to protest and demand the protection of civilian life in Gaza, but could not use that cause to justify the support of Hamas, a proscribed group, and said he wanted police to “not merely manage these protests, but police them.”

Abraham Global Peace Initiative Expresses Outrage at MLSE's Removal of Peace Advocates
Toronto, February 23, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) strongly condemns the regrettable incident that transpired during last night's Raptors game at the hands of a Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) security guard.
Two prominent lawyers, including Leora Shemesh, a Vice President at AGPI and a season ticket holder and Gary Grill, were asked to either remove their "Free our Hostages" sweatshirts or vacate the premises.
The sweatshirts, worn in solidarity with the call for the release of 134 Israeli hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, were intended as an act of solidarity with humanity rather than a political statement, according to Ms. Shemesh.
AGPI deplores the offensive behavior displayed by MLSE staff, categorizing the incident as an attempt to silence a matter of human rights, detached from political affiliations. The organization demands a public apology from MLSE and urges the implementation of remedial tolerance training for all staff involved in servicing sporting events.
Leora Shemesh emphasized, "Across the globe, the plea for the release of Israeli hostages has gained international support. However, it is disheartening to witness such prejudice in Toronto, where Jewish individuals are being asked to leave public events. This is unconscionable."
AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, calls for a swift response from MLSE to rectify this situation and uphold the principles of inclusivity and respect for human rights.

Tel Aviv, Israel, February 19, 2024: Despite the egregious atrocities committed against Israel on October 7th, the international community seems eager to brush them aside, favouring the forgiveness of Hamas and rewarding the Palestinian Authority with statehood.
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) staunchly supports the Israeli government's unwavering rejection of these demands that jeopardize the safety and security of the State of Israel and its civilian population.
Given AGPI's expertise, it had been out of the gate and on the ground to challenge the intensifying denials and distortions by the international community. (see its documentary, The End of the Innocence).
In response, AGPI has issued a bold front-page editorial articulating six compelling reasons why it firmly believes the Palestinians are far from ready for statehood. Read it HERE.
The organization underscores the UN's persistent fixation on dismantling the Jewish State, emphasizing a recent statement by Martin Griffith, a UN official, who astonishingly suggested that the UN does not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization.
In its commitment to exposing the truth and dispelling denial, AGPI spent a day with an Israeli police constable who heroically saved 200 young adults from the Nova Party. This constable provided a chilling firsthand account of the brutalities committed by Hamas against innocent civilians. Watch his account HERE.
Highlighting the disturbing reality, approximately 30 staff members employed by the United Nations Relief Works Agency were identified as perpetrators of heinous attacks against civilians. AGPI, engaging in high-level discussions with UN officials based in Jerusalem at the onset of the war, confronted the baseless denial of their staff's involvement.
Following UNRWA Chief, Philippe Lazzarini's contention that "UNRWA did not know what was under its headquarters in Gaza", AGPI issued a call for his resignation last week.
AGPI remains vigilant in monitoring the situation on the ground in Israel. This past weekend, the organization boldly stood in solidarity with the families of the 134 Israeli hostages still held by Hamas, unwaveringly demanding their immediate and unconditional release.

AGPI ON TODAY'S FRONT PAGE: SIX REASONS WHY PALESTINIANS NOT READY FOR A STATE:
On today's front page of the National Post, AGPI provides six critical factors that negate the possibility of a so-called two-state solution at this time. It’s true that the PA is not Hamas, but it's damn close. To this day, the PA still hasn’t condemned Hamas's massacre of 1,200 innocents on Oct. 7, 2023. The Ramallah-based "authority” also hasn’t demanded the return of the remaining hostages held by Hamas — even though Hamas also killed and kidnapped Bedouin Muslims. This administration’s political pressures should not cloud its judgment vis-a-vis the Palestinians. They have proved they are simply not ready for statehood. Read the full article HERE.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jerusalem, February 12, 2024: A historic event unfolded today in Jerusalem as The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) was joined by Israel's former President, Reuven Rivlin, and distinguished officials, including war-cabinet minister Avi Dichter.
The event was to recognize the heroism of 13 Bedouins on October 7th, 2023.
In collaboration with The Friends of Zion Museum, a Christian-Zionist institution in the heart of Jerusalem, AGPI, alongside President Rivlin, bestowed carefully inscribed awards upon these Bedouin heroes, commemorating their acts of valour for saving hundreds of Jewish lives, especially from the Nova party.
During his keynote address to the esteemed assembly, AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, shared insights from the organization's new documentary, "The End of the Innocence," revealing how he was inspired upon learning that Bedouins selflessly came to the aid of their Jewish neighbours during the Hamas massacre of Israelis. Those insights led to his belief that the Bedouin community must be honoured.
Benlolo stated, "By honouring the Bedouin community today in Jerusalem, we are upholding the essence of our mission at AGPI, fostering interfaith partnerships and fortifying Israel by embracing pro-Israel communities - bringing them under our Abrahamic tent. Witnessing recipients moved to tears upon receiving the award was particularly poignant."
In his address, President Rivlin thanked AGPI for its work combatting Antisemitism and in standing up for Israel. He then expressed disappointment over Israel being wrongly blamed for the events of October 7th, emphasizing that "never again" was a commitment not only for Israelis but for the entire world. He urged vigilance, saying to the world, "It is your duty to ensure that 'never again' truly never happens again."
Similarly, Minister Avi Dichter who is currently serving in Israel's war cabinet against Hamas applauded AGPI for its efforts and recognized the heroism and selfless actions undertaken by numerous Bedouins on October 7th. He reflected that we will never know the true number of lives they saved and the sacrifices they had made on that day.
AGPI, inspired by the tradition of Jewish sages promoting service and acts of loving kindness, strives daily to bring light to moments of darkness. Today marked one such moment, especially in a troubled part of the world.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 11, 2024
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) rejected UNRWA Chief, Philippe Lazzarini's contention that "UNRWA did not know what was under its headquarters in Gaza".
In a statement, AGPI said: "given the sophistication of the tunnel under UNRWA headquarters in Gaza and the sophisticated Hamas data center, it is impossible your organization "did not know". Israel estimates it took 5 years to construct the bunker under UNRWA headquarters.
AGPI is calling for the resignation of UNRWA Chief Philippe Lazzarini.
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) extends its appreciation to the European Union for its decisive action in suspending funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). This suspension follows serious allegations implicating UNRWA staff in the October 7th, 2023, massacre of Israelis.
In a recent statement, the European Union emphasized its role as one of the largest donors of humanitarian and development aid to Palestinians in Gaza. The EU declared that no additional funding to UNRWA is anticipated until the end of February.
AGPI particularly commends the EU's commitment to an impartial investigation, distinct from one conducted by the UN agency. AGPI expects UNRWA to cooperate in conducting an audit led by EU-appointed independent external experts. This audit will focus on the pillar assessment, specifically examining control systems to prevent potential involvement of UNRWA staff in terrorist activities.
AGPI also calls for the reinforcement of UNRWA's Department of Internal Investigations (DIOS), recognizing its pivotal role in this context. Additionally, a comprehensive review of all UNRWA staff is urged promptly to verify their non-participation in the attacks.
AGPI continues to call for the overall dismantling of UNRWA, replacing it with independent aid organizations that will work to absorb Palestinians refugees and provide appropriate education non-aligned with Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.
In response to these developments, AGPI has launched a new web portal titled "Eye on the UN," featuring reports and assessments related to the United Nations.
Beyond the European Union, 16 nations have also taken the commendable step of suspending UNRWA funding. These countries include Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Italy, Iceland, Japan, and Estonia.
AGPI is a prominent Canadian NGO that remains committed to promoting peace and justice, advocating for transparency, and supporting initiatives that uphold the principles of humanitarian aid and human rights.

ISRAEL'S FORMER PRESIDENT TO ATTEND AGPI EVENT:
Along with numerous dignitaries and war cabinet ministers, Israel's former President, Reuven Rivlin is slated to attend AGPI's major event honouring 13 Bedouin heroes of 10/7. During the filming of our documentary (The End of the Innocence) in Israel, we uncovered stories of extraordinary courage displayed by Bedouin individuals who emerged as heroes during the tragic events of 10/7. In recognition of their remarkable deeds, AGPI in collaboration with the Friends of Zion Museum is set to honour 13 Bedouin heroes who risked their lives through selfless acts of courage. The event will take place in Jerusalem on February 12, 2024.
AGPI WELCOMED BY EUROPEAN JEWISH CONGRESS:
The European Jewish Congress's (EJC) Director of European Affairs, Ariella Woitchik and her team, welcomed AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo for a mutual update at EJC's headquarters in Brussels. The two organizations discussed critical issues concerning European and North American Jewish communities, while developing collaborative initiatives.
UNIVERSITIES FAILING ON ANTISEMITISM:
In a sweeping article in today's National Post, AGPI reflected on its release of its report card on antisemitism in Canadian universities. Instances of campus Antisemitism are multifaceted, with Jewish students and groups facing targeted harassment, as was done against Hillel in a recent CUPE report. Jewish dorms have been subject of theft of mezuzot, while anti-Zionist propaganda infiltrates lectures and academic materials. Its become so normalized that even the faculty can hardly recognize or question the situation. Students report feeling harassed and intimidated through comments made by their instructors. The situation is becoming intolerable, calls to action are widespread. Click HERE to read further.
EU PARLIAMENT LIKE 'TOWER OF BABEL':
THREE CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES GET FAILING GRADE:
This week, AGPI released a dramatic new report that graded Canadian universities on Antisemitism. Of 52 universities, Carlton, Toronto and York received an "F" for a failing grade. The report is an excellent tool for policy makers, law enforcement and government authorities to respond and take action against Antisemitism on university campuses. The report can be found HERE.
AGPI RELEASES REPORT ON STATE OF GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM, MARKING HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE:
Highlighting the alarming rise in incidents of Antisemitism, AGPI unveiled its 2024 Global Report on Antisemitism. The 58-page comprehensive assessment delves into the worldwide surge of Antisemitism, particularly post the Hamas assault on Israel on October 7th, 2023.
Brussels, February 8, 2024: The spotlight has been on the European Union since the Hamas assault on Israel on October 7th, 2023. In an exclusive one-on-one interview, AGPI engaged with Ambassador Haim Regev, who is leading efforts at the EU and NATO to advocate for Israel.
Ambassador Regev shared with AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo, the demanding nature of his responsibilities, covering all EU institutions, including the Parliament, the Commission, and member states, as well as NATO. He emphasized that his primary focus is on addressing the issue of hostages, expressing his dedication to garnering more support to pressure Hamas and Qatar into releasing the 136 Israeli hostages immediately and without conditions.
Highlighting a recent milestone, Regev pointed out that the EU adopted a resolution calling for a ceasefire, contingent on the release of hostages and the elimination of Hamas. This, according to Regev, signifies the EU aligning with the Israeli stance that there can be no ceasefire without addressing these critical issues.
Responding to perceived bias at the EU, Regev expressed surprise at the common ground found between Israel and the EU, particularly during the ongoing conflict. He mentioned EU leadership visiting Israel and hosting families of hostages, fostering a sense of shared understanding.
Regarding UNRWA, Regev underscored that the war has exposed what Israel has long asserted: the organization contributes to the problem rather than solving it. Noting that the EU has halted funding to UNRWA, Regev expressed hope for reform within the organization.
Addressing the issue of antisemitism, Regev acknowledged ongoing efforts at the institutional level, with the EU developing a new strategy to combat antisemitism and support Jewish life.
However, he cautioned that translating these efforts into practical actions on the streets will take time.
Discussing the Palestinian issue, Regev called for significant reforms within the Palestinian Authority, starting with a condemnation of the October 7th massacre. He conveyed to Western allies that Israel serves as a defensive outpost against threats to democracy.

Toronto, February 5, 2024: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) has issued a comprehensive report card on Antisemitism at Canadian universities, revealing significant disparities in their respective standings.
Out of the 52 universities evaluated, three institutions received a failing grade ("F"), while an encouraging twenty-three earned an "A" underscoring an inclusive environment.
The breakdown of grades indicates that five universities found themselves in the D range, with twelve falling within the C category. On a positive note, ten universities achieved a B+ or lower grade, highlighting their potential to combating Antisemitism on campus.
The study, conducted by AGPI's education team under the supervision of Dr. Neil Orlowsky, who holds two PhDs in social justice and education, aims to examine the impact and implications of the rise of Antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Jewish hate on university and college campuses in Canada.
"It is not exhaustive by any means, and we recognize its imperfections. It is a snapshot that undoubtedly will change over time, and we are open to making adjustments. However, it provides a valuable tool to understand the growing strain of Antisemitism on campuses, especially since October 7th, 2023," expressed Dr. Orlowsky.
The 58-page document contains 10 pages of open-source references, an 8-point reflective model for educators to help them combat Antisemitism, and, most importantly, report card criteria that include 6 grading and evaluation indicators that helped AGPI educators assign grades.
"Our hope is that this tool will assist institutions like York University, the University of Toronto, and Concordia University—all three of which received a failing grade. We aim to help them improve the campus environment for their students and faculty by offering this reflective model to assist them in enhancing their institutions." expressed AGPI's Founder and CEO, Avi Abraham Benlolo

ISRAEL'S FOREIGN MINISTER TO ATTEND AGPI EVENT:
Along with numerous dignitaries, Israel Katz is slated to attend AGPI's major event honouring 13 Bedouin heroes of 10/7.
WHY GO AS FAR AS GAZA WHEN UNIVERSITIES HERE ARE JUST LIKE UNRWA:
Why focus on Gaza when we have similar issues in our own backyard? Canadian universities and now schools have long disseminated pro-Hamas antisemitism. This week at York University, the pro-Palestinian union released what it dubbed "A Toolkit on Teaching Palestine". Recently, it even came to light that in Toronto, the arrest of the so-called “Indigo 11” on hate-motivated mischief charges — turned out to be mostly of academics, many with PhDs and employed by universities, schools and cultural institutions. So while the world has rightly turned attention to the 12 UNRWA staff who participated in the Oct. 7 massacre, lets not turn a blind eye to the staff of our own academic and cultural institutions. We should all be asking ourselves if given the chance, they too would have lent Hamas a hand. Read full article HERE.
ANTISEMITISM MONITORING CENTER:
AGPI PICKS TOP QUOTES OF THE WEEK:
FROM THE DESK OF NEIL ORLOWSKY, DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION:
Last week, AGPI launched our "Power of One Human Rights Exhibit" at the RCMP Canadian National Headquarters in commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Our collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police set out to deepen our understanding of the dangers of normalizing antisemitism and understanding the lived realities of “Jews as a Canary in the Coal Mine”. Our exhibition underscored a commitment to promoting human rights, tolerance, and combating discrimination, and then in working with the RCMP, this partnership sought to create spaces where eradicating antisemitism by uncovering its roots becomes a feasible endeavour.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 29, 2024
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is encouraging York University's President, Rhonda Lenton to take immediate steps against a union sponsored educational guide made to support the pro-Palestinian movement.
The guide calls the union members to "collectively divert this week's tutorials to teaching about Palestinian liberation" and even provides teaching assistants with the script for instruction in their classroom.
Even while Antisemitism at York University and other campuses continues to be a major issue, the "toolkit" tries to discourage association with Jewish groups like Hillel: "York University is complicit in Israel's occupation...due in part, to its economic academic relationships with various Zionist cultural institutions (e.g. Hillel)".
The singling out of Jewish organizations is Antisemitic. AGPI is demanding York's administration take immediate steps to ensure this material does not enter the classroom and that Jewish students are free from continued harassment and intimidation.
AGPI is a prominent Canadian NGO that remains committed to promoting peace and justice, advocating for transparency, and supporting initiatives that uphold the principles of humanitarian aid and human rights.

AGPI'S CALL TO ACTION ON HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY:
In today's National Post, we said that as we commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan. 27, we ponder whether the world has gleaned any lessons from the largest hate crime in history, which ended just 79 years ago. The reprehensible surge in antisemitism on our city streets since Hamas’s Oct. 7 assault on Israel leaves us questioning why, despite increased investment in Holocaust education over the last two decades, antisemitic incidents have been on the rise in North America and Europe.
BREAKING NEWS: U.S. SUSPENDS FUNDING TO UNRWA, AGPI CALLS ON CANADA TO FOLLOW:
OFFICIAL STATEMENT: "The United States is extremely troubled by the allegations that twelve UNRWA employees may have been involved in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them". Given these revelations, AGPI is calling on the Canadian government to immediately follow suit and suspend funding to UNRWA.
AGPI COMMEMORATES HOLOCAUST IN OTTAWA:
The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) observed International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a two-day educational program held at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) headquarters in Ottawa. In collaboration with the RCMP, Canada's largest coast-to-coast police agency, AGPI was invited to present its "Power of One" exhibit as a tribute to International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The exhibit seeks to raise awareness and stimulate meaningful discussions on issues related to Antisemitism, discrimination, and hate.
AGPI HOLDS EXCLUSIVE MEETINGS WITH AMBASSADORS:
This week, was especially intensive for AGPI as we held high level meetings in Ottawa with a number of Ambassadors, including the Austrian, Hungarian, Czech Republic and Argentinian. Discussions held were about the release of Israeli hostages from Hamas and to further support for Israel, especially at the European Union. Additionally, to reinforce the message of peace through The Abraham Accords, we met with officials at the Moroccan Embassy.
ISRAEL'S MOST HEARTBREAKING WEEK:
Earlier this week, 24 IDF soldiers were killed in a single day this week. In total, 221 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the beginning of Israel's ground invasion of Gaza in October, according to the military. "We share in the sorrow of their families for the heavy loss and know that the pain is unbearable," said Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, the Israeli military's chief of staff.
BRING THEM HOME NOW!
In its continued psychological warfare against Israel, the Hamas terrorist organization released a new propaganda video showing signs of hostages. They include Daniella Gilboa, Karina Ariev and Doron Steinbrecher, identifying themselves and asking the Israeli government to return them home. Hamas is becoming more desperate for a deal with Israel.
AGPI COMMENDS TORONTO POLICE FOR ARRESTS:
Toronto Police charged two men in relation to a protest at a Toronto mall. One of the men were video recorded saying, "I will lay you to sleep, I'll put you six feet deep". AGPI thanks Toronto's police service for making these arrests and for moving more assertively to stop the pro-Hamas demonstrations.
Friday, January 26, 2024: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has dismissed South Africa's call for Israel to halt its operations against the Hamas terrorist group. Instead, the ICJ has urged Israel to exercise due care, facilitate humanitarian aid, and ensure the protection of civilians.
"Today's ICJ ruling unequivocally refutes the baseless accusation of genocide against Israel, which was a reprehensible ploy by South Africa, a country known for its antisemitic rhetoric. This attempt to exploit the Genocide Convention on the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day is particularly shameful," stated Avi Abraham Benlolo, Founder and CEO of AGPI.
AGPI, a prominent Canadian organization dedicated to advancing global human rights, sees the ICJ's decision as a clear validation of Israel's actions. AGPI is now urging the ICJ to fully dismiss the charges of genocide against Israel.
