EVENT FORMAT: Celebrate Israel with us by honouring its defenders. Held in Toronto (location disclosed to participants) on November 12, 2024, the Defenders of Israel is a program that brings together friends of the Jewish community who want to stand up against Antisemitism and defend Israel. The event will be attended by corporate leaders, philanthropists, clergy, law enforcement and political leaders. Bronze level and up will be invited to an exclusive meet and greet cocktail reception with Stephen Harper starting at 6:30 p.m. The main program starts at 8:00 p.m. in the theatre (Please note this is not a gala dinner. AGPI's exclusive dinner is held annually in May).

Father of three, Master Sergeant Remo Slaman El-Hozayel, a Muslim-Israeli Bedouin and Israeli police investigator risked his life by rescuing 300 people from the Nova Party site on October 7th. He will be recognized for his heroism as a Defender of Israel.

Few people would dispute the fact that The Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper, Canada's 22nd Prime Minister, continues to be Israel's greatest friend and ally.
In an article published recently in the National Post in support of Israel, Mr. Harper wrote "the Canada I represented would stand with Israel “through fire and water.”
If there was a time to amplify Mr. Harper's voice, the time is now. As Antisemitism and defamation of Israel surges, we must especially recognize non-Jewish voices who refuse to be silent and who are standing up and being counted.
We invite you to join this special evening that will recognize Mr. Harper and pay tribute to the precious lives lost in Israel's war against Hamas.
